OCPS - Is any genre welcome? My tune is of a funk/fusion/jazz type vibe. Is that cool, or are you just looking for rock/blues kind of stuff?

Hey all, new to the board. Don't get a lot of time to post in this kind of place, which is why I haven't joined up sooner. Always thought Mr. Satch was an awesome guitarist, but after seeing the "Evening With.." in October here in Raliegh, NC, I was so blown away! Joes melodies combined with the technique and raw emotion just leaves me at a near loss for words.
Saw you on the G3 tour in Winston Salem, NC too...but I didn't get to see the whole set because I was in pain after standing up scrunched up next to all of those peaple; trying to peer over heads for 3 hrs. Being short sucks lol! When are you guys gonna play an auditorium here in NC? hahaha
Also...it has to be said, that you have an amazing band! I know the focus is mainly on you, but I can tell that you're a humble guy. Most "stars" think of themselves as such, unfortunately. I think that Jeff is an AMAZING drummer. The whole band is just great!
Anyway, take it easy...been playing for 17 years..maybe I'll be half as good as you are in another 17 hahaha. Wish me luck!

....................................................................................................Hey ZINC MASTER, unfortunately I don't have time to read all things that you post but it looks very interesting! and I have another problem, I have to look at the dictionary and search for some words that I don't know yet, so it takes more time to me to read than to the others, BTW this site has been a great English school to me ! (to me or for me...! I never know...........
...................................................................................................
ZENFISH ! I think you are very intellectual ! Amazing ! keep on!
...................................................................................................
BIGBUNNY: Bluey, Pooke and Kitty are so cute! I loved the pics!

IBANEZ89, I'm also curious about Rubina and ZZ, I check the photo that CUTHBERT1776 found, great! but I really would like to see photos of Joe and Rubina together !
sometimes I do the same thing that you've done another day, when I feel down, I listen to Joe loud, close my eyes and shake my body ... this is a therapy, and works !! ;-) I like to ride my exercise bike listening to Joe's songs loud too. very nice way to work out !
...................................................................................................
CHEESE101: my son is 18 and study guitar since he was 14 and WE LOVE JOE ! YEAH !!!

962--just read that you want feedback on the tone-zone. I have an F-Spaced one in me Ibanez S470DXQM...love it! It's more of a shredders pickup, though. The mids are really prominent. Also, they don't sound real good clean. They would probably sound good clean if you tapped them though.

ibanezghsman - Perry, How do you like your DXQM? I've been looking at that and the one with the Bubinga top (for the drop-D bridge). How is the trem? it seemed beefy to me and I liked the idea of the bearings instead of an edge. Gimme' your thoughts.
962 - Tone Zone I just put one in my RG. I like it. I have been having some feed back problems but it may be the way I wired it. I have it in the Neck (reversed polarity) with the stock single coil Middle and a Fred in the Bridge. Contrary to Perry I don't mind the clean sound and use it a lot. However my clean patches have a lot of grease on them so that may account for my opinion.

Zenfish - describe Stanley Jordan with one word
SOTD : Stanley Jordan : Riviera Paradise
Stanley Jordan for G3. ( It sounds crazy but I wish that at the next G3 Joe and the other two players would jam with clean tones - no distortion.)

Hi all. Turned up for work at 8AM (dodging the trees all over the road), found the place almost blown (and still being blown) away. No work today then. Not good, because I only get paid for what I produce.
Huge low pressure system off the coast, resulting in insanely weird winds. Not really strong, but really blustery.
Would have been good if I'd been told there was no work today, then I wouldn't have driven 40km (25 miles) up bush for nothing. Bed was nice this morning too.

Hello Satchland....hope all's well everyone. I'm finally feeling better mysel and I'm going to the gym tomorrow. Can't wait!
Here's my NAMM adventure:
I flew out on Sat to have a few days of fun before NAMM on Thurs. It was so awesome! I was in San Clemente and my rental car was a 2005 Mustang Mach 1 just like my old 69!! Rocks! I just love the coast! it's so beautiful, I want to move there in a few years...need to save lots of money! LOL!!
My friend Jeff was going to let me use his pass since he didn't need it till Sunday. Unfortunately after the EJ show he
told me he was working 20 hr days and had no time with the busy tour schedule to get his pass till Sunday, the day I was flying home...cried for a minute but knew I had come all this way and I was no going to let it stop me I would find another way in. NAMM is not open to the public. They had much stricter requirements since last year many vendors complained that there were so many people not buying stuff. I tried to join since it was 175 for a non member to get in. They will not let anyone in without a member acompaning you. I was unable to Join but they don't consider a photographer "in the trade industry". Damn! Shot down! I went ot plans B, C and D.......he he! Plan B was a contact I had made from the RJ show (GHS Strings) never returned my calls to is cell. Plan "C" was my cousin's friend that was at NAMM....They have a lighting company based out of San Fran. She wasn't going to be using her pass for Sat afternoon. Said I could use it..Never came through......Plan "D" I was desperate! This was my last chance to get in so I told my story to a very kind woman who was working there in registarion...."the Golden Gate to NAMM".....She said to me....I believe you! Wait here and let me see what I can do.......She came through!!! Not long after ther was a guy that wanted a pass for his friend. He was a vendor and stopped to ask info from this woman...she said" can you get her in too? She'll pay for the cost! I said "Yes! Yes! I'll pay for it! hehe! He said "sure". His name was CC.......I 'll have to continue this later. I started early but I've spoken to friends tonight in 3 states....East and West coast!! I didn't get much done tonight
It makes the night fly!!! Now it's time for bed ....already!!?
Mari

IS THERE LOVE IN SPACE? ...................................................... As dump-sites go, there’s nothing quite like Earth orbit: Totally gone or near-dead spacecraft, spent motor casings and rocket stages, all the way down to pieces of solid propellant, insulation, and paint flakes. Toss in for good measure thousands of frozen bits of still-radioactive nuclear reactor coolant dribbling from a number of aged Russian radar satellites .................................................................................... Here’s the heavenly clutter count as of December 29, 2004.
There were 9,233 objects large enough to be tracked and catalogued by the USSTRATCOM Space Surveillance Network. Of this total there were 2,927 payloads, along with 6,306 object classed as rocket bodies and debris.
That’s the stats as listed in the January issue of The Orbital Debris Quarterly News, issued by the NASA Johnson Space Center Orbital Debris Program Office in Houston, Texas ........
...................................................................................................
So I ask you, could any of this be called LOVE?
