I'm new to this site and just wanted to do a post. Most of all I wanted to say to Mr. Satirani that he is one of the major reasons why my guitar skills have improved. He inspired me to be me on the guitar and not to try to be like everyone else. The largest part of this influence was centered in the song Down, Down, Down (which I am in the process of tabbing out). Its jazzy vibes and rich sound proved to me that one can play the guitar with a cetrain amount of humility. The simple fact that this song is from the heart moved me to the core.

Wow, that´s exactely what I thought of......because I have nearly the same problem with my hair since 1996, it´s called “Alopecia areata” and it looks terrible, so I also have to shave my hair from time to time since 1996, but everyone of my family and my friends tell me (and I also think) it looks very cool (I´m wearing Bandanas too). It gives you something like an “bad girl look”..... and you can save the money for the hairdresser *lol*.

The other thing is, that nearly everyone who talks to you, and people who don´t know you, will ask you sooner or later: “Do you have cancer?” And my reaction: “Oh my god - no!” I´m at full health and my blood is still ok.......

death cube k - thanks for the info, but only 10 submissions? So I´ll try my best to send in my tune, but don´t be surprised, for me it has no “pro” quality, because I had no pro equipment to record it, for the next few month I have no money left to buy some pro music tools :-(
I just was experimenting around how to record things with my computer and the tune is what came out of it all, some kind of homerecording stuff, that I made in quiet a hurry, if you like to give it a name; only guitar, amp, a little drumming tool (for the drum parts), computer and an recording tool where I could add some effects to the recorded parts and to do the mastering for the whole thing ......
By the way: I would be very pleased if some friendly ones of you could help me and give me some infos what is good (and not too expensive) recording equipment ..... I´m not in a band yet, but I have the dream to form a band with other musicians the next 1 or 2 years, let´s see what comes out .....

There's also the use of gun-mounted cameras and laser designators. The gun-camera is linked to a little screen (a Heads Up Display) attached to the soldier's helmet. hanging in front of his eye is the little screen which shows him what the gun is seeing. This means a soldeir can crouch behind, say, a vehicle or brick wall and just lift the gun up and see exactly what it's aiming at, without exposing any more than just his hands. It's a very safe invention and is likely to reduce battlefield casualties (especially in urban warfare) to as-good-as-nothing. The gun camera's laser designator means a soldier can do a similar thing, only instead of shooting he's "painting" a target for laser-guided bombs.

It's all very promising. Unfortunately, it's expensive, not every soldier could use it as the training would take too long and would cost too much. Apart from anything else, I think it'd be more to the point if the US government were spending US$ 127.000.000,00 on stopping wars altogether, rather than just finding technologically more advanced ways of winning them. I think I'm both for and against it, for the reasons I set out above!

I have wo little spots where no hair grows, I let my hair grow so it can't be seen. The doc said it was stress-related. They didn't grow toobig so kind of forgot aboud them :p There are way wors things in life...
