Stevee T , Jazzzzy, first BS&T, now the "Dead, what's next a discussion of the guitar merits of John Cippolina??
Quicksilver.....
Steppenwolf
Country Joe???
"Don't step on the grass Sam"
Starin' at the boob tube, turnin' on the big knob
Tryin' to find some life in the waste land
Fin'ly found a program, gonna deal with Mary Jane
Ready for a trip into hate land
Obnoxious Joe comes on the screen
Along with his guest self-righteous Sam
And one more guy who doesn't count
His hair and clothes are too far out
While pushin' back his glasses Sam is sayin' casually
"I was elected by the masses"
And with that in mind he starts to unwind
A vicious attack on the finest of grasses
Well it's evil, wicked, mean and nasty
(Don't step on the grass, Sam)
And it will ruin our fair country
(Don't be such an ass, Sam)
Well, it will hook your Sue and Johnny
(You're so full of bull, Sam)
All will pay that disagree with me
(Please give up you already lost the fight, alright)
Misinformation Sam and Joe
Are feeding to the nation
But the one who didn't count counted them out
By exposing all their false quotations
Faced by a very awkward situation
This is all he'd say to save the day
Well it's evil, wicked, mean and nasty
(Don't step on the grass, Sam)
And it will ruin our fair country
(Don't be such an ass, Sam)
Well, it will hook your Sue and Johnny
(You're so full of bull, Sam)
All will pay that disagree with me
(Please give up you already lost the fight alright)
You waste my coin Sam, all you can
To jail my fellow man
For smoking all the noble weed
You need much more than him
You've been telling lies so long
Some believe they're true
So they close their eyes to things
You have no right to do
Just as soon as you are gone
Hope will start to climb
Please don't stay around too long
You're wasting precious time

Halo Giutars - This is the link that Lucy posted this morning from the NAMM show. My cousins band got a call from Halo to endorse their giutars. The guitars on this page from halo are the 3rd and Last pics. You can also see the entire collection here.
XtrChessReal I'll look up that link a little later for you. [/link]

Meandmrvai:
I have been running Always with Me Always with You in my mind since I read your question.
I think I better listen to it again, but, there are two parts I know of in that tune that has harmonics. The transition bridge just before the middle eight solo and the solo itself in the ending transition.
There are at least two approaches to these harmonics. The one my wife used was a simple pic and nail technique. You may be able to hammer it with your pic hand on the octaves.
I would not know how to explain it on paper because I don't know Tabulature. I don't do conventional...sorry.
I am sure someone here could tell you better.
Yo dudes:
Meandmrvai needs some quick answers - this is the kind of thing we could put in the T2J Bible of Guitar! - Where is everyone?

Dear Joe
I would like to first of all make it clear that I think you are an unbelievably talented guitarist with a superb unique style that is a pleasure to hear, further more you exploits with G3 are remarkable and I genuinely rate you in my top 5 guitarists/musicians. However be under no illusions that your talent makes everything you touch turn to gold, it does not. After a particulary bad day last week, I thought 'what would cheer me up?' to which I answered myself 'hmm, how 'bout treating yourself to a Satrianic CD', which at the time seemed like a very agreeable sugestion. So I headed down to my local HMV and flicked through your selection and spotted Engines of Creation. Enough back story, let me tell you that listening to this record nearly made me kill myself, until I realised that i was not to blame for its existence, you were. Joe, my friend, what on earth were you thinking?, were you thinking? I think not. I spent 11 tracks waiting for a song to start, I spent 11 track double checking that I had the right CD in the case, 11 tracks worth of time I will never get back. Joe, I am not sure if anyone of your 'yes' men have told you but you ARE NOT A DJ! You are a f*****g guitar god. Do not get me wrong, I am all for musicians pushing the boadaries of their medium and trying new things, but whenyou reflect and realise that your new venture is a sack of s**t you do not go and release it to an innocent, unwitting fan base, anyway just to make a buck. Therefore I demand my £7.99 to be returned, you have my address and all will be forgiven. Sure enough you can even have your CD back, just let me know where to send it. Please take this as the constructive criticism as it is intended and don't let your standards slip.

Big Bad Moon 1889....my son has the line 6 pod coming any day now...he has researched it to DEATH and can't wait! Our local guitar store owner is also very excited to finally be carrying this line of products. He said there is a guitar made to go with the line 6, which of course my son will also want (but not get until he has more money!) and together they are supposed to be KILLER!! We'll let ya know after it gets here.
OH! and YEAH, get the Satch Tapes as soon as possible. It's awesome. We get to see several music videos that Joe made for songs like Summer Song, Big Bad Moon (LOOOOVE that one!!) I Believe, Always With Me, Always With You...it's like a documentary about Joe's life up to and including the Extremist album..lots of great music and plenty of insights from Joe and about Joe...Nigel Tufnel is in it too and is hilarious!! You can find it on ebay, at Amazon, probably lots of places!! And if you like the self-titled Joe Satriani album, there is also a video out called The Reel Satriani..it's awesome too and all about what he went through creating and recording that album. Enjoy!
Stevee T, LOL!! We're going to have to do something about your depressed attitude, you really sound so very down all the time... :) Actually, you're really flying high tonight...whas up w' dat? Peace, love and happiness right backatcha!!
Michelle, how's things?? Any better? Btw, hospitals almost always have a program people can apply for to help pay their medical bills...ask the billing office about it. He would have to meet the qualifications, but ya never know, could give him some financial relief!!
Austin, paging Austin....Steven Wilde, paging Steven Wilde....

silent_shady, i hear your plea, i think that dude is demented. Maybe if they ACTUALLY listened to the music insted of looking at it saying boy i wish there were something good, maybe try and see what dear ol' satch has to say throught his music. Being an instrumentalist is not about pleasing "every" one of his people, its idea is to show that satch is good at what he does. getting his money back yeah ok. Joe just keep doing what your doing and nevermind him. maybe he had a bad year getting ideas flowing. its called creative juices and its ok if it doesn't work perfectly "every time", thats what makes a musician good. Im no musician but i know that satriani is god, and good at what he does. Take a look at steve vai or kirk hammet or larry lalonde or david bryson or jeff tyson.

coolio986 besides he is a big boy now. no one made him buy it. If he dosen't like what he baught he should blame himself! Many fans love that album and no one gives a shit if he dosen't!
Duncan trow it at ppl maybe that'll make up for the money, but it sure won't make up for your lack of musical creativity.

I'm watching the show MXC tonight, and they're doing the "jump over objects back onto the surfboard as it moves around the obstacle course" game. The one guys comes out quite excited (aren't they all) to get his turn to stay on the board and not fall in the water below. He jumps over the first object, and comes down with one foot on the board, the other off, and quickly falls oh so awkwardly into the water below. The announcer says "Ohhh! He overprojaculates and falls into..." I couldn't even hear the rest. The
word "OVERPROJACULATES" hit my damn funnybone so hard I was laughing for about 5 minutes. I'm going to try like hell to make that word a part of my vocabulary from now on. lmao! You guys could use it like, within your bands. Say one of your band members (or yourself) thinks they're having the most brilliant session ever. They add some crazy riff that has the rest of the band looking at each other like "what the hell was that?". That's an overprojaculation. Or, for example, at one of Joe's live shows. We've all seen Joe in a zone. He can hang on to the end of a song so long that Matt, Jeff and Galen could go out and have a spaghetti dinner and a bottle of wine and come back and Joe's still finishing up the last few licks - that's OVERPROJACULATION. lmmfao!!! Go ahead, feel free to use it throughout your weekend and see how many people agree. Overprojaculation is much more common than you think.
So much to say, So much to say, So much to say,
Open up my head and let me out -
Little baby!
I'm 706 posts behind and there is so much I want to reply to, but not enough time.
As for my Pop, he's doing a smidge better this evening. He looks more hydrated and comfortable. His blood sugar is down from 436 to 203 (Thank you Jesus!) They started antibiotics to get his severe kidney infection under control but he's still in a lot of pain. His low grade fever is still off and on, and they still have no idea what the swelling and pain is from in his hands, knees and ankles. His right hand is really swelled now. It's about twice the size - all bugged up on the topside. esh! He still can't walk either. They sat him up for a bit today. He shaved and really enjoyed his time sitting up, but overdid it a bit. I would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and good vibes. God bless you all!

If you don't like the music then return it to the HMV or whatever and get your 7 squiggly Els (L). Though I do not wish to discourage you from participating in discussions here, this forum is not the place for that kind of thing.
After all this is a fans site for mystery and intrigue concerning all things Joe and other things like just saying hi to people, trading secrets, things we like and dislike is always a good discussion, accept for the things you don't like.
Go with peace, return with anger, rejoice, its all good my babies..(Conan) "Im a gonna go, to hell when I die,..I'm a gonna go to hell when I die!"
OH YEAH, UM, ER,..WELCOME
