Message to Joe SATRIANI
Dear Joe (Satch),
Actually Associate Professor and researcher in Strategic Management at the University of Montpellier 1 (France), and consultant in communication – infographist / illustrator several years ago, I am working on the project of a full-length animation film untitled “The cursed score” ("La maudite partition" in French). In parallel and in a passion way for the moment, I draw/write comics and play/compose music (guitar and singing).
Given the large place of the music in my project, I met the Artistic Direction of the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, who accepts to be partner in this venture.
Three guitar heroes named the “Scrapers” are the villains in this story. Each of them has marked musically a decade of the 20th Century (Guss the 70s, Snake the 80s and Moonboots the 90s). For most inspiration and celebrity, they signed several years ago a pact with Cronos, the master of time and music lover, stipulating that after taking maximum advantage of their glory they become his slaves for eternity. Prisoners in the harmonic space, they become renegades and find the way to escape from their master, by keeping Henri’s soul in the meantime of the alignment of the five moons.
In a crucial moment of the story, I would like to confront in a musical duel the Scrapers and J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart & L. van Beethoven. This confrontation, based on velocity and precision of the musicians in different musical styles –Classical music vs Rock/Blues/Jazz/Spanish– with the use of two categories of instruments –Electric and classic guitars vs organ (Bach) / harpsichord (Mozart) / piano forte (Beethoven)–.
I am now looking for 3 famous guitarists to constitute the "Scrapers".
I would like to work with you in this project and I turn to you to see if you are interested by playing musically one of these roles in a musical piece (representing roughly 20 minutes from the total time of the film) we will construct collectively in due time.
This message doesn't allow to attach file. So, I can send you a synopsis and some drawings to have more details on the project.
Thank you in advance for your interest.
I look forward to read and meet you.
Best regards
Saïd YAMI

OCPS470, JS1000's, JS1200's and JS2000's (as well as all Jem7's) have Jumbo Warmoth 6105 fretwire. JS100's and older Jem 555's get Ibanez Medium Frets. I think the newer 555's may also get Ibanez Medium frets, but I'm not certain.

Something that's been concerning me lately is that every time I have a shower, I'm left with rather substantial amounts of hair on my shoulders. Either I'm malting or I'm going bald. Hopefully neither. Hmmm...
Just out of interest, is anyone else using real living, breathing musicians for their T2J II CD track?

PIPIN : Hello and welcome to the site. I am in europe as well and Joe recently gave us good news about gigs. He is PLANNING to come in Europe in Summer. Now at this point it doesn't matter where in Europe. If you are a big Satch fan you can book a Ryanair's flight. Sometimes you can catch a 1-pound offer!
All the best

962 Dude, you're making me feel tired - lol, long week at work, (65hrs), wife ill, small child to wear me out............. It feels like I'm already decomposing - ha ha ha. Excuse the assumption but you must be a young un? How come you've become such an expert with cubase ? How long have you been using it for ? Do you still have the luxury that I can barely remember of being able to play guitar for hours on end ? lol. Maybe you could pop over sometime in the future if you're up in the area (and don't mind rubbing shoulders with the old timers!)....................... but I'd rather you sorted out the anger management issues first !!!!!! roflmao
Clarky Dude, I'm not anywhere near proficient enough to play Bach, or to my shame, disciplined enough to learn it. I do find Elgar melodies creeping in to my playing if I'm noodling around with forms and patterns..................... said it before on here, the crescendo in the Em Cello concerto brings tears to my eyes..................... good old patriotic music, visions of windswept grass covered hill sides and open country........ Proud to be English ;-)

I think for the next G3 there should be Eddie Van Halen or Zack wylde. Both of them are complete legands and everybody (with any sense) loves there guitar playing skills. Zack with his screaching pinch harmonics, you gotta love it. And Eddie's two hand tapping...CLASS. If G3 had one of them, it would be absolutly class, and it would make the best line up ever.
And G3 should come to the little island of Jersey, in the english channel, becasue we don't get any class players coming over here.

VFRocker - You are correct about the fuel tax!!! We, as Americans have no idea what the real cost of gas is. Our fuel is heavily gov't subsidized. Right now I'm complaining that gas has gone up to $1.75/gallon. I know you have got to be close to that per liter.
*Hot Lanes* are basically a carpool lane for 2 or passengers that are also open to single occupants for a fee. Normally this fee will be on a sliding scale dependent on the congetion. So that if you use it in commute times it will cost you a lot more. What were the European reactions to Italy closing down some of their cities to auto traffic?

Cuth - Master of Puppets? I would beg to differ. I would have to go with Ride the Lightning.
Mikesb - I read the Cease and Dissist, There was no mention of Metallica at all. It was all Beatles stuff. Not that Metallica is not Anul about there copywrites.

Master Yoda I'm not using any real musicians sadly. About the baldness/ malting maybe its time to change shampoo or something lol Is there baldness in your family at all?
I was well and truly rocking last night at the xbox halo 2 get together kinda' thing. I either got most amount of kills or second most amount of kills in each match, I ended a guys winning streak of being unbeaten in team deathmatch and I found out loads of ways of combatting a sniper spot that was before hard to defend against.
