"A national ID card will have the same effect as gun control laws: criminals will ignore it, while law abiding people lose freedom"

While I have nothing to hide from our federal government, and would "apply for that card", you bring up a interesting point here. Criminals will ignore it and the politicaly correct county judicial system will not be able to enforce compliance.

Mine was alright. It was quite. Uneventful. But i got in some pracrice, and caught up listening to My classical music. I just Love that stuff! I am really into Bach, and A a lot of, Betthoven, I Love playing "ode to Joy" it is such A beuitful piece of music! Also I have been playing several Mozart sonatas. It truly unleashes the soul f creation! anyway, I am hoping for a marvelous day for you, and Chris, Today! It's raining here. But it's okay. Okay tracie, Have A great day today! talk to You soon! :-)..................................Kd6aaj- Hey Congratluations! That is great new's about Being an Uncle! Why they have to make the Grammys such a commercial show???? Tribute to Ray Charles...give me a break...!!

Used to be the greatest award for a recording artist....

Now it just about who throws more money at videos and more TV time....

????????????????????

Joe, Do you ever select opening bands for your shows? Is it possible to audition for an opening act slot? Or is this something that your management company deals with? Give someone a chance? Of course, management companies do not accept unsolicited material, plus who has the money to record a decent demo?!!!!

Jazzy: I'm glad you liked it! Sometimes yousendit.com can be a little screwy. I had to use it to upload tracks I had recorded for a session and I had to try 3 times to get it to work. If you have any questions about any of the tones or the gear I used etc. I'd be happy to give you the tedious rundown haha! If you have any questions for Peter, just email them to me, because he'll be with out a computer (and thus also without email) for a few weeks).

civgeek (happy birthday), VFRrocker, Cuthbert1776, Jazzy...and anyone else I may have missed.....thanks for the lists. There were a few I'd never heard of but for the most part they were all good.

I'm seriously considering retiring from playing gigs....I can't seem to get into the right situation. The two guys (father & son) that I play with now are doing it solely for the $$$....which is great I'm not complaining, but I still play for the love of music. And on top of that we are expecting a baby within the next 3 weeks and these guys are booking solid without any consideration for the time I'm going to need bonding with my daughter. A week after she's due..they got us booked for a two-nighter...I'm pissed !

Anyhow, I'll quit ranting....take care y'all !

SupaaDave - I took 8 years off while the kids were little. I have since started playing out again (i.e. the setlist). We all got together through ads in the local papers and Craig's list. I guess the thing is to look for people that are in the same situation as you. The guys in my band are all fathers and husbands. We plan on playing out once or twice a month. That is plenty. I guess the long and short is put the current guys on notice and start looking for some like minds. Good luck!!

I ran into a very old friend yesterday from Newfoundland, Canada's most easterly maritime province. We "lovingly" refer to the inhabitants as Newfies, and they are the butt of many a Canadian joke. Anyway he sez "Mike, I am gonna teach you how to speak Newfie, there are ONLY four important words"

"The history of Newfoundland is closely tied to the sea and more importantly the fish and mammals found there. The WHALE for instance provided meat and many other by-products such as OIL. Newfies cannot live on seafood alone so dried salt BEEF was prepared and stored for the long winter months until such time as the halibut and cod could be HOOKED again." Therefore the four important words:

Whale----oil----beef----hooked

Say em in order together as fast as you can......"

LMAO

I Am working on My MillionthLOL Oh BTW, What do you think about Howlin' Wolf? Do You like his Style? I think, The more I find out about him,The more i think I missed out on a Neat era. I am finding Bluesshredding work's out quite well, On certain occasion's! I am still 'spermintin' with Shear speed, and the emotional content of the Jazz-Blues feel, and bounce. I have my work cut out for me. LOL I also Have been inspired By BB King also! I just recently Learned he Plays Samick's. I just bought one! It is really a nice Guitar. it is a thin line series! Almost a S' shape without getting sued! And it's red, and gold! It seem's like a real good Shred- Or all around guitar! I like for my blues riffing also, Even though it has a radicaly dipped trem. Well Hope thin'g get going better for you so You can make some cash! Just think, When Zenfish, makes it. That WILL be your day Job! Much Luck!....................................CLARKY- Thats cool to hear You like the classical compostion's also! You have very good taste! Those are some sad Pieces. Granted. But full of energy! Classic Rock'sLOL Take care...................................LUCY SORETS- Hey How are ya'? Where did you go? Hope your well, and that work, and the stress level is keeping positive! My Prayer's are alway's with you! see You soon!......................................Suzie- Thank's for the E-mail! You, and Matt are into some pretty cool Musical level's! It sure would be cool if I came to visit, and brought My studio, We could record some great thing's and then when i returned to the states. I could market them with My stuff! And You, and matt would become partners in ATN! Pretty interstng! eh' One thing Digital distribution is really HUGE over here! It is Fantastic, and GRAND AND AWESOME! Tis' so sweet! well, take care talk to You soon :-) Have a great day!.............................DCK- Mark, hope you doing fine!
