"Namm Man: I hope you're ok. Let’s forget the BS for once again. My apologies."
No sweat jazz man, I also got carried away. I am doing fine, mostly lurking the past few days. I figured I had said enough for a while. Thanks for the apology that’s very mature of you. Please except mine as well.

I'm still learning "Rising Force" by Yngwie..although admittedly I did take a break to learn some CKY and Deftones.
I'm working on the solo and its very hard lol...especially the first part.

962: The ToneZone is a higher output Airzone. What this means is it has less dynamics, distorts slightly more, and has none of the reduced magnetic string pull characteristics of the Air pickups. Dimarzio has a PG clip using it on their tone demo page. I've heard some people say they are kind of harsh in the mids, but I have no idea. As far as the fast track is concerned....it's more like a small humbucker than a noisless single coil. Because the coils are in a traditional sideby side humbucker config, it should react similar to a humbucker, also if I remember correctly, the output is inthe 200-300mv range (medium output humbucker range) as opposed to the virtual vintage humbuckers, which are in the 80-150 range that a standard single coil would be in.
As far as writing new tunes....why don't you try combining 2 or 3 seamingly disparate riffs or progressions. Figure out how to make them work better (by changing the key of some of them, or using pitch axis to arrange them). Lata!
Delfino: Send us a tune man!! You are as welcome as anyone to contribute to the T2J CD II

962, regarding writing new material...when I sit down to play, practice, write new material...I usually ease into it, and listen carefully to what my soul is trying to let out...this way, what I play is true to my feelings...whatever they may be at the time. Sometimes, I just have to walk away to clear my head, if it's an off day. Hope that's some help!

OCPS - Is any genre welcome? My tune is of a funk/fusion/jazz type vibe. Is that cool, or are you just looking for rock/blues kind of stuff?

Hey all, new to the board. Don't get a lot of time to post in this kind of place, which is why I haven't joined up sooner. Always thought Mr. Satch was an awesome guitarist, but after seeing the "Evening With.." in October here in Raliegh, NC, I was so blown away! Joes melodies combined with the technique and raw emotion just leaves me at a near loss for words.
Saw you on the G3 tour in Winston Salem, NC too...but I didn't get to see the whole set because I was in pain after standing up scrunched up next to all of those peaple; trying to peer over heads for 3 hrs. Being short sucks lol! When are you guys gonna play an auditorium here in NC? hahaha
Also...it has to be said, that you have an amazing band! I know the focus is mainly on you, but I can tell that you're a humble guy. Most "stars" think of themselves as such, unfortunately. I think that Jeff is an AMAZING drummer. The whole band is just great!
Anyway, take it easy...been playing for 17 years..maybe I'll be half as good as you are in another 17 hahaha. Wish me luck!

....................................................................................................Hey ZINC MASTER, unfortunately I don't have time to read all things that you post but it looks very interesting! and I have another problem, I have to look at the dictionary and search for some words that I don't know yet, so it takes more time to me to read than to the others, BTW this site has been a great English school to me ! (to me or for me...! I never know...........
...................................................................................................
ZENFISH ! I think you are very intellectual ! Amazing ! keep on!

IBANEZ89, I'm also curious about Rubina and ZZ, I check the photo that CUTHBERT1776 found, great! but I really would like to see photos of Joe and Rubina together !
sometimes I do the same thing that you've done another day, when I feel down, I listen to Joe loud, close my eyes and shake my body ... this is a therapy, and works !! ;-) I like to ride my exercise bike listening to Joe's songs loud too. very nice way to work out !
...................................................................................................
CHEESE101: my son is 18 and study guitar since he was 14 and WE LOVE JOE ! YEAH !!!

962--just read that you want feedback on the tone-zone. I have an F-Spaced one in me Ibanez S470DXQM...love it! It's more of a shredders pickup, though. The mids are really prominent. Also, they don't sound real good clean. They would probably sound good clean if you tapped them though.

ibanezghsman - Perry, How do you like your DXQM? I've been looking at that and the one with the Bubinga top (for the drop-D bridge). How is the trem? it seemed beefy to me and I liked the idea of the bearings instead of an edge. Gimme' your thoughts.
962 - Tone Zone I just put one in my RG. I like it. I have been having some feed back problems but it may be the way I wired it. I have it in the Neck (reversed polarity) with the stock single coil Middle and a Fred in the Bridge. Contrary to Perry I don't mind the clean sound and use it a lot. However my clean patches have a lot of grease on them so that may account for my opinion.

SOTD : Stanley Jordan : Riviera Paradise
Stanley Jordan for G3. ( It sounds crazy but I wish that at the next G3 Joe and the other two players would jam with clean tones - no distortion.)

Hi all. Turned up for work at 8AM (dodging the trees all over the road), found the place almost blown (and still being blown) away. No work today then. Not good, because I only get paid for what I produce.
Huge low pressure system off the coast, resulting in insanely weird winds. Not really strong, but really blustery.
Would have been good if I'd been told there was no work today, then I wouldn't have driven 40km (25 miles) up bush for nothing. Bed was nice this morning too.
