Quote of the day:

"My pa' was an elephant but thats irrelevant and my ma' was an eskimo!" - Cannibal: The Musical

Stevee T Oh yes indeed I did.

Clarky Master of all things Yngwieful. See if you can answer my question, two.

1. In 'Evil Eye' in the classical-style intro, there is a small shred...in which the notes 12 - 15 - 20 are hammered at one point...I have stubby fingers and canny' reach the 20 cap'n...is there some kind of medievil device for finger stretching or should I simply tap the 20?

Question the second.

2. A lot of Yngwie stuff I have come across is in Eb, is this due to the scalloped frets adding more tension on the strings as he frets them and therefore takes it up the extra semitone to standard tuning, OR is it because Yngwie is known to play in E harmonic minor and loves to access all those purdy notes?

Cheers loads

I have no idea about what I write about, so I thought I'd just start typing until I thought of something to write about.Still can't think of anything......

I have some alarming news. I am deeply troubled and yet happy for both Slansh and Clarky (if its mutual). I don't know. I just got a message from Slansh telling me how much he liked Clarky's 'parts'. Well, that says it all!

I hear they are going to be pulling together - crumbs.

It was after clarky sent a file right enough. Hmmm - maybe I misinterpretted.

Clarky I cant wait to hear the finished piece. I'm sure I'll love your parts too :o)

Fablawyer:It is indeed mutual,Clarkys parts...& i,m not just saying this, really lift the work.I had a good idea the man could pull it off even b4 i considered getting in contact with Paul,he always comes across here as well read & experienced, knows how t have a laugh & play the game 2 which is something i consider t be of great importance if your considering playing with another pro musician, which he is & has proven himself t be.

Without doubt Ron,i,m more than happy with his take on this track & for sure it will be there on my album,it added a quite unexpected twist,y,ll be hearing soon enough bro

I decided to bite the bullet and order new pickup and locking tuners for my SA1260! I can't wait though, it's going to be the dogs' when they're all installed.

Feedback/opinions on Fast Track 1 and Tone Zone would be appreciated! On the downside, my bass-neck is bending the wrong way, and I don't have the right size truss-rod tool. I don't think it's enjoying the massive change of climate it's just undergone! Oh well, it's fixable!

LucySorets, yeah I'm really looking forward to Real Illusions. I've not been listening to Vai much at all in the last year or so....I've spent so much time, over the years, listening to his records, I know them inside-out. The same can be said for Joe, but I still keep listening to Joe's records cause I'll never get bored of them. But yeah, a fresh new album from Dr Vai is a very good thing to look forward to! Are you going to go to The Aching Hunger Pt II in holland this year? if so, let me know, cause I'm going!

Amen on Searching! It's an amazing track, so powerful. I can't decide which is my favourite ITLIS? track though, cause I love Searching, Lifestyle and If I Could Fly so much!!

DCK, who is going to organise/do the artwork this time?
Suzie, what's your computer like? is it geriatric and laughably slow, or is it newish and okay in the speed/power department? If the latter then I'm buying you a CD writer! haha
can anybody offer their tips/advice on writing new material? I find writing incredibly hard. I generally find I can play something but not write something decent. I wish it were the other way around, cause then at least I could think of the idea then learn how to play it :-( I'd love to be able to submit something for consideration for the t2j CD sequel, but I'll be eating my socks with a flock of flying pigs under the next blue moon if that happens!! hehe

962: Yes, It definitely was an amazing site to see the asteroid. I thought it rocked because it caught my eye all of a sudden at around 3:00 am. while I was typing an email and sitting right to a window. I saw it in Northfield, MN....are asteroid sightings a common thing? I'd hope so.

Michelle: hahahahahahahahaha! mission accomplished hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

hi i'm new. just got this thing up and im new to guitar. ive had my guitar for 3-4 years and i took lessons for about a month. i had to stop the lessons because of my hectic life with no spare time. recently i heard ur amazing music and it inspired me to play guitar again. im currently looking for lessons. too bad there arent any JS lefty guitars cause im a lefty. just like hendrix. i read that joe started playing when he was 14 when hendrix died so i fugre i should start to since im 1 yr older then when he started. im so glad u have this website to help ur fans communicate with you. ur awesome. i was just wondering on any pointers on plaing guitar cause iknow relativly nothing about it except sum brands like fender and gibson. what kinds do prefer? and my last question is are you going to be doing any touring in the minnesota area soon? my favorite of ur songs is slick and satch boogie.
