Suzie2000, I do not know?? I did not make any comment/reply to "the fence" and Joe's mainstreamedness... But since inquiring minds want to know, IMHO, Joe was anything BUT mainstream when he first arrived from another planet but through the years has become more and more mainstream without ever actually getting there... That is why I would like to see him head back in the other direction personally

Yeah Cuth, I have "Lost Christmas Eve" It was really cool, great singing, nice concept and CD booklet as well (although I received a promo copy late last summer without the booklet and had to peruse a friends). I think Ovation must have it as well, I recall him mentioning it around X-mas. I have not pulled mine for a while..... I do not have the previous two installments in the X-mas Trilogy though..... I do have something else by them, I will have to look, must not have been to memorable if I do not remember it....

By the way, after reviewing that website I must tell you that the dude who plays violins (Mark Wood) is killer!!! His first two records (on the "Guitar for the Practising Musician" label were excellent shred!!!!

For the first time in ages I played football (soccer) with my chums.

I was in defensive-midfield and I did my job well might I add...although one guy decided to smack the ball as hard as he could into the exact space my testicles were occupying...needless to say I was winded and knocked off my feet and fell ass first to the ground.

We were playing against the year 11 kids that are friends with one of my friends, (we're in year 13 btw) and...well I'm going to put this down to old age...but we got whooped. 9-6 was the final score.

Anywayz how is everyone doing? Steven Wilde howz it going man? Are you submitting to the T2J2 CD (forgive me if I have asked before lol)

Anywayz, take care y'all

You have not experienced pain until you have played Canada's national sport, road hockey, in winter, with a damp frozen tennis ball..............

More Than 1 In 10 U.S. Adults Have An IPod

TechWeb - More than 22 million U.S. adults have an iPod or an MP3 player, with men more likely than women to be carrying the digital music devices, according to the Pew Internet and American Life Project.

The number amounts to 11 percent of the U.S. adult population that's 18 years old or older, the research firm said in a report released this week. Taking teenagers into account and it's safe to say there are several million more people carrying the popular iPod from Apple Computer Inc. or a competing MP3 player.

Men are more likely have a music player than women, 14 percent versus 9 percent, respectively; and nearly 1 in 5 people under 30 have the devices, Pew found. Fourteen percent of adults between the ages of 30 to 48 had music players.

The devices were mostly for the well to do. A quarter of the devices were owned by people in households earning more than $75,000, with 10 percent living in households earning $30,000 to $75,000. Households making less than $30,000 accounted for only 6 percent of the devices.

Broadband access was strongly associated with ownership of the players. Some 23 percent of people with broadband at home have iPods/MP3 players, compared to 9 percent of those who have dialup connections. Almost a third of people with broadband access at home and work had the devices.

The Pew research was based on a nationwide phone survey involving 2,201 people and has a margin of error of plus or minus two percentage points.

Until the iPod has a truly dynamic adjustable EQ vs a paltry frew presets, I'll never listen to one. Even MP3s burned at higher bit rates still sound a bit tinny to my ears.

Hey to all in Satriani Land Also to Dave Watkinson ( PhryDom ) & Mark London ( death cube K ) hats off to both of you and everyone who is involved in the t2jcd project. Also to Joe Satriani I think this is the coolest thing that any artist that is in the lime light and is world known to do for the norm people to get some of there music out to people who enjoy music. Instrumental Rock is alive and well and people like Joe Satriani make it possible, to Joe I have'nt met you but for you to do something like this speak's volume of your personality you have to be a very cool person and humble to make this possible for your fans to enter this cd project, not all stars are so gracious to do so. Your music inspires my playing totally keep the inspiration going. Good luck to all entry's. Peace Out to all the Clan!!!!!!!! Arnulfo Salinas ( Cactus Tex )

Isn't it a great song - that link is priceless !!

Thanks for the free advertising for that link.

I was hoping it would be a surprise to everyone who went to the site - but letting them know what song is being played is even better.

Satriani's "dog" song rocks !!

962 Simon Daultry AND Steeve T: I was going to buy the Js1000 but trying out the Js100, I liked that one better expecially for the PRICE! But also, the JS100 is beautiful when in clean mode and it has power as well with distortion. And the Black color is very lucid and it sort of imitates the chrome... So, at least 'till now I've decided to go for the JS100 so that I can buy a nice amp with a couple of cabinets.

In follow-up to the list cheese101 provided us with recently . . . .

I received this from a friend of mine just a few minutes ago (it is still warm :)

You may not believe this, but there is some truth to the medicinal qualities of Ketchup. The stomach cancer incidence in the USA is very low compared to especially the Far East, and especially Japan. This is the result of our use of Ketchup, whereas that is unheard of in Japan and other countries in the Far East. What does Ketchup have to do with it, you may ask? Ketchup contains antioxidants that prevent stomach cancer! Maybe the Japanese should start putting Ketchup on their sushi! ... That's the truth, believe it or not!

There are some things you wish you hadn't said, the more you try to explain them.... the more confusing it gets- well saying "yes AND no" to Jazzzzzzzy's question (not Mikesb- sorry!) about whether Satch's music is considered mainstream has to be one of the more recent ones I can think of! The only reason I said that was because I think certain tracks would probably be listened to /purchased more widely if greater airplay was given to it, whereas other tracks may appeal to a narrower audience... I hope that makes sense,as I think I am losing the plot. Anyway.....

Estrela & Mikesb- :-)

Jazzzzzzzy : sorry about my brain. :-) And no, I'm not blonde before anyone asks!!!! Just having a bad day in the thinking straight department...

962- That's awesome new's! I am really happy for you! This new system should be hust what the doctor ordered :-) I was alway's intersted in the Line 6 pod deal. But was so afraid That My ineptness on enginerring skill's would screw it all up. Plaese let Me know How it work's out! Also, Hay I record using a small watt practice amp, Myself to record with. A homemade Job with A Mind boggling, and gruleing, 6 watts of untamed PowerLOL I use it with My Homemade 4-10's And Milk them really well. So I get this "big" sound, sometimes i will track 3 or 4 guitar's and combine to get an' even bigger sound. And i have been learning some valuable EQing trick's! That Paul Clark, Is A genius! We were discussing different freqencies, Like for bass roll off, and tighter Eq mid punch, and We both agreed that sometimes less is More! Such as rolling off the bass hz to 20 or even more, Is somehow fatter! It dosen't seem like it but experimenting with it at differnt roll of setting's sure makes a whale of a differnce! Anyhow Keep Me informed at how the line 6 pod work's and Much luck getting Your rig set up! Oh BTW- My "califronia Babe" She is really Cute :)) And is somewhat like me, But I tell you, She is a firehouse! I thought i was fast!LOL Take care!
