Hello all.
it's been too long since my last post and i can't trace it back now..takes too long so dunno if anybody replied but thanks anyway for nay input.
Anyway, just another day in hospital and cant stop thinkin about the concert so thought i'd say hello again. (post #2) :)
I'm in Auckland New Zealand and have been in hospital for a bit over 5 months now. Leg damage but seems my brain is doin ok so no worries. I won't be out but i have the tickets to the March concert here and it is LESS than a month now!! Goin ballistic in anticipation. Without this accident, i wouldnt've been here to attend this concert so gotta appreciate the good that comes out of any experience. ;)
You rock Joe. Thanks for your music and your dedication to it. A great artist results from it and the world is a litle better thanks to it. Keep up the good spirit and see you in March. By the way, look out for the dude in the wheelchair with the huge grin on his face, chances are it's gonna me and if u have a signing, do announce it as taking a signature home from there will make the experience a golden moment in my life :)
thanks buddy. everyone else, take care but not too much, you may otherwise miss out on some great things.
vive la vie

Hello again..was just browsing back a little and saw the post about new members posting once only. For me it was many reasons, i also went MIA (missing in action) after my first post. doin other stuff on the computer but also the fact the to see any reply i realised that you pretty much have to check up on the site everyday..and i'm not a person to stick to routines too well. I'll try makin a effort though. and anyway, my post count is now up to THREE!!! :)
Soon, i'll be cateorised as ancient?.....nah nvm, there's all you guys takin the podium already.
I do love the vibe on the site though. Always refreshing when i do take a peak.
Peace everyone. (Master Yoda style..full of wisdom) haha..
not me though..i'm not wise by a mile.
Oh and the Steve Irwin thing. I think the guy is a legend. He can be how he is with animals, doin all his crazy stuff becoz i think he has some weird connection to them. He's master of his art the way satch is master of his guitar. I respect both guys deeply so please don't bomb him just coz he speaks funny. :)
ciao

Hope they get it staright!...........................DCK- Mark, you Rock! just wait!.............................BIG BAD MOON- Howdy, What's up, Hope your doing fine, and can get in the practice! I am finding difficult with al that is going on with me, that it's hard to find practice time, like i did. 6 or 8 hrs a day.
I mis that, I feel like I am atraitor, at My PracticeLOL
Anyway hang in there bro' and Keep rockin'....................................js22- Right On, i agree with you on MTV, it sure has turned to the apitimy of "awful TVLOL"
Rap, has no taste, and no style, they get paid to insult, and degrade You, And People eat it up!??? I have to say that some of my "childhood Bud's" have turned into the Gangtser rap scene, and it is so distressful, there attitude's.
It goes beyond music, it's pure HATE. hardcore rap, that is.
Anyway enough of the silly stuff. How's the lead playing, and riffing coming? Hope well! keep up the great work!..............................SteveeT- Hey Man, Are you reading Me out in my own language? LOL

962:
What exactly is difference between the JS1000 and the JS1200?
Are the differences consistently the same between year models?
I'll look it up on the Ibanez site, It may be the pick-ups.

Don't know about the left handed JS models but, you should get one regardless if you feel qualified. The fact is everyone is qualified, don't be too quick to judge yourself harshly. Lighten-up, just play and have fun.

Seventh:
Sounds like you may not be familiar with a Whammy bar or how the springs work for tensioning the strings.
A couple of tips:
First and foremost - Until you are explicitly comfortable with the guitar tremolo system do not turn the screws that hold the springs in place. The most obvious problem this will lead to is either the bar too low when completely in tune or the bar too high, depending on which direction you turned the screws.
Replace with a set of strings that is of the same diameter as the one on the guitar. If you put a higher gauged string in any of the six you will likely have a whammy bar that is too low. Vice versa if you replace with a lighter gauge.
If the guitar is in need of new strings replace them one at a time - this will help you tune it. Only release the nut clamp of the string you are currently replacing - before you move to the next pair in the set clamp the nut clamp of the current string you just replaced - Only two strings should be de-clamped at a time. As you replace strings tune the entire guitar, once in tune, stretch the new string. Do this by holding the string at the first fret while pulling the string with your Pic hand. I usually pull the string to stretch it beginning around the 22 fret then work my way down to thwe first fret, then I begin again in the other dierection toward the bridge. If you really cannot afford another set of strings right away then don't be too crazy on the pulling. Since I usually have hundreds of sets I don't give a crap if I break it. If it breaks then it was weak and was gonna break quickly anyway. Now tune the entire guitar again.
Note1: if you are only replacing one string then there is no need to release the nut clamps on all the strings - just the pair which includes the one in need of replacing.
Note2: If you broke a string while playing you do not have to replace the string - you can release some string from the tuning key about two inches and pull it back to the bridge clamp - tune as in Note1 above.
Note3: If you replace all the strings at once before tuning any of them you will likely find yourself wondering what the hell is wrong with your guitar. "I keep tuning it but, it keeps on going out of tune and the whammy bar is too high" In this case keep tuning until you get it entirely in tune. Be sure to stretch the strings well before you begin your hour of tuning or you will be tuning for two hours.
There you go
