Zen, "A Million Miles Away" I like it... I would name myself "Laundromat" lol.

Now for you..... "Moonchild" is good, but I think I will slighty modify "Jacknife Beat" to "Chainsaw Beat" for you...

Hello everyone, i just want to say to Joe than we are expecting in Argentina this year again. I went to the past year G3 and just want than they or just him have some dates in South - America again. I have heard than the G3 is going to tour by Japan with John Petrucci, ¡Estaría muy bueno que pasaran con esa formación por esta zona del planeta! (it would be pretty awesome the you come here with that trio). Well and i was wandering to know how do you think about the Argentinian public. Don´t ever leave the music.

Hasta pronto (soon, i hope so)

Phrydom I accidentally screwed that idea up...but it wasn't all my fault, I blame spray-mount to be honest if it didnt do what it did to my lovely coat o' green the guitar would've been finished by now.

But anywayz I'm summarising some new ideas for that guitar and hopefully something will be done before i go to University.

how have you been man?

When do we find out the final set of tracks to be held on the T2J2 cd? :-)

Cheers a sack-load

Thanks IbanezGuitarist for the answer about the Whammy!

I was woundering, two things when Joe is doing a show, does he uses direct boxes insted mics in the cabs? And in the cd record, does he uses direct boxes? I mean for all the dirty sounds.

If he uses, what is the brand of his direct boxes?

MJS99 - I have been using Mozilla/Firefox for a while. I like it a lot. NO POPUPS!!! And when you go the page to post your message hit "CTL-plus" and it will make the post window bigger. Much easier to see. Then you hit "CTL -minus" to make it small again.

VFRocker - Nice driving advice forDelfino. But it did strike funny about the *crosscountry*trek. From my perspective, you driving across country is like driving across the state for me. Just struck me funny.

Sweetpicking: Man I know exactly how you feel. Im 17 and I'm in 11th grade and I play guitar. It seems like every kid in my school either plays punk rock or acoustic crap. I like some of the acoustic stuff but EVERYONE plays it, there is no diversity. It seems like all of the kids that play electric guitar are perfectly content with not improving and just playing downstroke chords and no leads. I've been playing since I was 7 years old and I am into Satch, Vai, Stevie Ray, Jason Becker, Dream Theater, Yngwie and other great guitarists. I would love to have someone in my school that I could jam with but there's not. But I'm in my schools talent show and it's on this Friday. I'm going to play this sick guitar solo and then House Full of Bullets by Satch with some backing tracks. Last year I was in it and I came in 3rd. I played this cool solo I made up and I played behind my back like SRV and then I played Trilogy Suite by Yngwie. It was so cool, when I finished most of the crowd was chanting my name and they did the it's all over chant. I never felt better in my life. I came in third and it was funny b/c a bunch of people were like you got screwed out of first when honestly I could care less if I won or not. But heres who the judges were, our town supervisor, a columist for the newspaper and a local DJ from a radio station that plays rap and pop crap. I kind of figured when I went into it thats what would happen. But I had a hell of a time playing for all those people and I cant wait until friday when I play again.

Whats also funny there's a kid in my school who is in 12th grade and he is one of the kids that just plays acoustic guitar. Now I could care less what he plays b/c I think no matter what you play as long as you're playing you're doing a good job. But we we're having try-outs for this years show back in January. I brought all my guitar stuff to school. So I was down in the basement warming up and screwing around before it was my turn to try-out. As I was playing some of my friends and other people came down to watch me play. A lot of the janitors came down too b/c I think some of them play too. But that one kid who plays acoustic guitar, Matt, came down and watched while some of my buddies were there. He stayed for about 5 minutes and went back upstairs. One of my buddies was upstairs after he went up and he heard him say, "That's all Jake plays, he's got to play with more omph than with grrrr. He should play more of the stuff I play b/c that stuff isn't cool." I wasn't mad when I heard that he said that b/c I knew he was just jelious. How does he know that I don't play that stuff. I do, I love to rock out to some Joe Walsh or Dream Theater. But the next day bands had to try-out so his band tried out and one of my friends band did too. Now you're not suppose to be in the auditorium when the band is trying out. And when my friends band was playing he was in there. He comes out half way through their song and he goes, " Oh my God, those guys suck so bad I think they're on crack." That really made me mad b/c I am friends with those guys. So I went up to him and got in his face and said, "Listen you dont need to be bad mouthing the other bands like that, you're acting like a real A-hole." Then he says, "I was just kidding about it." Even though he wasnt b/c hes the kind of guy that needs to put others down to make him feel better about himself. But anyways, his band which is like 3 acoustic guitar players made it into the show. Heres the cool thing, in the show I will be playing right after them and I'm going to shred so hard and play the best that I can that they'll forget about him. I dont want to sound like a jerk but this kid really deserves it.

But wish me luck for Friday and I'll let you guys know how it goes.

To Joe: I'm an older guitarist coming out of a ten year retirement. The most difficult thing I have come across is the right hand. I just can't get the kinda of control I need. I was wondering if you could give me some direction. I heard that you are a great instructor. So if you could give me some pointers on how to improve my picking techniques I would appreciate it. Also I was checking out Sleep Walk and Some Where Over The Rainbow. Just absolutely wonderful. So if you find time to answer this please email me @ danmercer214@hotmail.com and thanx for your time. You are the best: Dan

js22, my son had bass lessons for a few months, but the teacher was just showing him how to figure out songs and play them. It was kinda lame, but he did learn the basics. I would have liked it to be more technical, but he can learn that later. I think he just wanted to learn how to play tabs and stuff so he could get some songs under his belt and get his groove on. He reads music well too. He's a funny kid. He plays PS2 with his bass on, and plays his own halftime music. lol! Whatever game he's playing, he plays his bass during waiting times. lol! Now that's entertainment!

Jazzy, do you agree that Lars' dad would have been a great replacement for Professor Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movies? lol! You're right on the lake. That must be cool as hell, but also cold as hell too! lol!

Yoda, glad to hear you enjoyed the yeti post. I thought it fell like a rock because nobody responded. lol! I thought it was funny as hell too :)

Steven, thanks for all the prayers and good vibes. My pop drove for the first time yesterday. I would have thrown a fit if I would have known it beforehand. He's getting better, but he isn't THAT good yet. He's trying to hard to get back into the swing of things so he can get back to work. He's very stubborn, but sometimes that's a good thing. My mom & pop drive me nuts when they're sick because they don't listen. It's so frustrating! I told them that I'm going to have etched in their tombstones "I'm alright, I took a Tylenol."

Mari, so sorry you had the flu. It sucks being down like that. I hope you're feeling better now and regaining your strength. Take it easy (the only way to take it) and rest when you can. Do you take Echinechea (sp?) or anything to boost your immune system? If you don't, you need to get on it! lol! Hugs and well wishes :)

estrela, I hope you're feeling better from your hangover. lol! I hate when that happens. How can feeling so good lead to feeling so bad? lol!

Hangover tip from Dimebag Darrell - drink childrens Pedialite the next day. Never tried it, but Dimebag should know! lol!

Davey, I'm hanging on to my sanity by a thread sometimes it seems. lol! It helps build my great sense of humor I guess. lol!

bigbadmoon & silent shady, Some Kind Of Monster is a great DVD. I laughed, I cried, I cringed. lol! It gives me a better understanding to the whole process that is the "new" Metallica, but I still don't dig the album. The songs are much easier to digest with video to keep my eyes busy and give my ears a break. Lars seems to be the one who needed to do something "different", and doesn't it figure - his snare drum is the most annoying thing I've ever heard on a rock record. It sounds like a Sharpie marker hitting a metal folding chair. Don't get me wrong, I think Lars is one of the best drummers on the planet, but he comes off as an ass a lot of times. That opinion was formed way before SKOM came out. lol!

Yesterday I bought Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power and Motley Crue - Greatest Video Hits. GOOD stuff!!!

Hello Satchland!

michelle, steven, estrela, thanks for your support on the Windsor Tower fire thing.
Everything is much better now but it's so weird that lots of people comes here every day to take photos and to have a "souvenir" of the majestic burned building before its demolition...you must see it to believe it :-(

Steven Wilde, hi Steven, I'm doing a lot better, thank you for all your kind messages, you are really helpful and bring so much light to Talk To Joe! Well, that family problem I told you is in good way, we are now taking all coolly and that comforts me a lot. And how are things with you, Steven, I've heard something that you are going to teach, that is great! Keep up working in your fantastic music, lots of love to you :-) And I'm looking forward to the CD...

estrela, hi, how are you today? you saw my photo with Joe :-) it was a magical night, Joe makes each and everyone of us feel comfortable and important to him. He is so nice and polite, a true gentleman. I hope you can meet him when he comes back to Sao Paulo for a solo tour or a new G3 and perhaps he recognizes you for your message hehe who knows? The magic would be double!! And thank you very much for posting that link of G3 in Brazil, the photos are awesome! I specially love this one:
http://cifraclub.terra.com.br/fotos/g3/index.php?foto=62 It looks like he was playing Satch Boogie! have a wonderful day and see you soon :-)

bahduh, hi! how are things? yes, Barça have now seven point advantage over Real Madrid, good for you :-) we will see what happens... I'm looking forward to the UEFA Champions too, I'll write you a mail as soon as I can, time is always hard on my heels, have a nice day!

962, I'm still waiting for my Real Illusions CD, the Mourning Widows and some more, I'll tell you :-)

Comparing with other forums...I love the format of this message board, the sensation of everyone seeing everyone like a virtual bar is unique :-)

JOE, the magic you bring to our lives is priceless!

zen - Fripp has an unusual sense of dissonance in my opinion.... not like a jazzer...
his note selection is somehow more uncomfortable...
more 'out-there'... more epic...
he has a great sense of how to slowly pull away from consonance and little by little head out into unusual tonality with the intent and effect of making the music climax...

very astute note selection... a very clever man...

m ikesb - Ricky is an American.... I've met him... blown the froth off a few cold one's and jamed with him too...

awesome player... clever guy... very very nice guy too..
