That Shawn Lane clip is superb. Haven't seen that one before. Awesome talent. Love that he was pulling his pants up during the tune.

What a guitarist

mikesb:I,ve heard them, didnt move me t buy their work though in the same way Paco de the ultimate acoustic guitarist did, thats just my opinion,or Robert Johnston,Jeff Healey & Larry Carlton did for feel & outright tone,or Holdsworth,de meola,John M,Gambale did for electric fusion or Joe & Vai for being, lol etc etc etc,i could go on and on about SRV as well. The way i thought was, after so much time listening to amazing musicians,i had t switch off,put those sounds in my head & stirr,in my own way, which is what we all do,the output is just you,we all steal & learn, the hardest part for a musician is to become themself, that IS the ULTIMATE test, when someone can say thats Joe or thats Vai or thats Holdsworth or whatevever,well...........i aim for that, thats my goal in life, for people t recognize my take on all this & go....Thats slan,oh what a happy day that will be if it arrives, lol

Steven Wilde, thanks amigo, it's good to know I'm not the only one with serious anger management issues! I slowly get more and more stressed by things until everything starts to p*ss me off, even really insane, stupid stuff like the cat brushing her fur on my clothes, and then when something else goes wrong I go nuts! haha. It's really bad, I should see someone about it, I think I need something to make me generally relax a little.....it's not so easy though! hehe. Anyway, yeah I'm optimistic now, that this system is going to get sorted. fingers are crossed! Hope you're cool bro, take it easy

AngieRead, hehe, I feel bad for you that everyone is making fun of your name! By the way, reagrds linking...

type a square bracket [, then the word link then a closed-square-bracket ]. Now insert the URL (the web address) of the page you're linking to, but please note, it must have the http:// part on the beginning. now repeat the open-square bracket [ then put a forward slash/ then the word link again and then repeat the closed-square-bracket ].

Do not put any spaces in the bracketed parts. I hope that works!

VFRocker, hmm, that's a damn shame you're so far away. Well hey, my driving test is on monday, if I pass, I'll soon be mobile. When that happens I'll start sorting out the places I need to go. I gotta go see my sister in Ely (cambridge) and that's a fair old drive! Maybe some time later in the year I'll come and visit you and give you a learn-cubase-in-a-day tutorial! haha, hows that for a self-invite? Failing that, I could just write a decent "basics" guide! The problem with Steinberg's tutorial is it covers everything, and a lot of it you will never need to worry about!

Also, on the guitarists habit of cellecting stuff - it gets on my tits, real bad. I hate materialistic comercialist bullshit, especially the kind round which this country revolves, yet I find myself constantly wanting more guitars, more amps, more bits of idle stuff! haha, i'm such a sucker for it. But the Nuno model and the Andy Timmons Model would look so good in my rack, especially with a Chrome Jem to split them! hehe

Re. where would I want to go? Well, I'm not sure europe is far-enough-away. maybe south america? I'd love to spend some time living in the US as well, but I don't know if there is anywhere I would necessarily want to settle for life.....maybe migrate every 10 years.....I can come back to the UK when I'm 70.....it's the most appropriate place I can think of to turn old and start decomposing! haha. That's outrageous.....I think I just tipped the karma ballance :-D

big bad moon 1889, for your code lesson this evening....

put an open square bracket [ then type hr then finish it with a closed square bracket ]. No spaces, all lower case.

god I hope all that has worked......moment of truth coming....I have to hit the "post" button! here goes...

mikesb...don't get me wrong I'll buy the new JP CD, but if does not cut it,,it will be the last....he's got great technical ability, and the potential to do something great......I'd like to see that happen....Berkley...naaa....my mother offered Juliard to me when I was a young un', but I felt that sort of training would only kill what I was searching for in music...

962: About guitarists collecting stuff...I think for most guys it happens on accident haha! I mean, I bought a solid state fender amp....then I realised tubes were better. Now I have a tube amp and a solid state amp I don't use and can't get rid of haha! About the JS100 vs. the JS1200 or any other top model JS. Unless they changed something the latest JS100 still has an Edge pro II trem, which looks very similar to the Edge Pro trem, but functions like a dog. Also, I'm sure the cut of mahogany is better on the more expensive JS. I mean, I love my mahogany S470 ($600) but the tone of my Chellee is WAY better, and i have to think that is because it is a top cut of Honduras Mahog. Also, they claim that the neck on the JS1200 is an exact Digital replica (scanned in and carved via CNC machines) of Joes favorite neck......I doubt this makes aton of diff. Also, I think the JS100's aren't a compound radiused neck like the JS1200.........woo lotsa words haha! So, I think that might account for the difference in price.
