962 - Sorry to hear about your computer problem, let´s hope you get your computer back soon to finish what you have started.....
And your opinion about Vai: yes you are right, it is not the same like Fire garden and AIAUW (also my favorite ones), but the new record has also something "special", don´t you think? And yes, I think it has to do something with the live shows that some songs are better played on stage, Steve seems to be a very good performer... .there´s some "magic" in the air when he´s on stage..... ok, that was weird, sorry...

You're probably right about getting stuff on the internet, but I don't really trust it; my father once lost +/- 2500$ with a visa payment :s But I'll try on eBay, it seams to be quite safe.

cya, peace

Alexandre I'm good thanks bro'.................. you've got my interest now ! :-)

Artanis Yeah I tought of 'The Distance' when I read Chelle's lyric..................... and I agree great track !

CivGeek Happy Birthday man :-) Stuff these old timers......... welcome to the .38 Special club...........Back On the Tracks.......... dude. Hope you have a good day.

962 Too bad about the test man, but hey you were ready for that, next time man. I like the Vai album, maybe it lacks a bit of consistency and like Cube said, there is some rehashed stuff on there but I think that he's got some cool licks and extended some of his ideas. It kept me interested, and I can't say that about some of his other stuff. As for Passion and Warfare, dude, that was a moment in time, in the same way that SWTA was. I don't think that those albums will ever be bettered for me, as much because of the memories, that I have of them....................... but also because I think that Steve and Joe were playing with pure emotion and motivation. I think that anyone with an eye on the future is going to put it all on the first album - lol Flexable and NOTE were both 'Dude, you gotta hear this guy' type albums but P&W and SWTA were the real showcases.................. I always think of them as 'a life's work' .................... although individual tracks have bettered some of the tracks from those albums, imho I don't think that any of the subsequent albums have been as strong.

The human spirit sure is complicated; that's why we should be tolerant and think at least twice before reacting.

I have wo little spots where no hair grows, I let my hair grow so it can't be seen. The doc said it was stress-related. They didn't grow toobig so kind of forgot aboud them :p There are way wors things in life...

peace and may the health be with us all ;)

Hey T2J,
it's been a while since I've posted. It's been a crazy couple of months for me, but in a good way. Biggest news is that I'd like to welcome my 3rd child into the world, Jason Kokol!!!! He came 5 weeks early but is doing great. Secondly Sherrie Lee's( singer I play for) sinlge has been picked up by CHUM FM in Toronto & put into rotation. I was told this is a good thing apparently CHUM is not easy to get on to. 3rd bit of news is that I'm 3 songs away from completing my cd!! I've put the first track Chasing a Dream on my soundclick page. So if any of you get a chance check it out & let me know what you think.

To OCP, DCK & Phrydom
I've read about the new T2J cd & was wondering if I am eligable to contribute a track?? Let me know.

Great idea for our "rankings"

Maybe the Webmaster can incorporate your idea and then we as the posters, would have to add our Rank on our preferences page.

Things I hate

1. People who point at their wrist while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask where the toilet is?

2. People who are willing to get off their ass to search the entire room for the tv remote because they refuse to walk to the tv and change the channel manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake and eat it too". Damn right! What good is cake if you can't eat it?

4. When people say "it's always the last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell would you keep looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who and where are they? Gonna Kick their asses!

5. When people say while watching a film "did you see that?". No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor.

6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?".... Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?

7. When something is 'new and improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has never been anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there must have been something before it, couldn't be new.

8. When people say "life is short". What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing anyone ever does!! What can you do that's longer?

9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks "Has the bus come yet?". If the bus came would I be standing here, dumbass?

Pope Rushed to Hospital With Flu Relapse

VATICAN CITY - Pope John Paul (news - web sites) II was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance Thursday suffering from a relapse of the flu, a fever and congestion, the Vatican (news - web sites) said, a day after the pontiff made his longest public appearance since being discharged from the clinic two weeks ago.

The 84-year-old pontiff had the same symptoms of the breathing crisis that sent him to Gemelli Polyclinic on Feb. 1, a Vatican official said on condition of anonymity.

T. Rex 'Boogies' Again on DVD, CD

NEW YORK (Billboard) - It's been a long time coming for T. Rex fans, but the group's Ringo Starr (news)-directed 1972 film, 'Born To Boogie,' will make its DVD debut in May via Sanctuary.

Not only will it be issued as a double-disc set loaded with previously unseen extras, but a double CD will also be released, with audio recently remastered by T. Rex's longtime producer, Tony Visconti.

The entire project has been overseen by Rolan Bolan, the son of T. Rex's late leader Marc Bolan (news), who died in a 1977 car accident. "I always wanted to be involved in my dad's career," Bolan told Billboard.com. "And this reissue gave me that chance. The film is the same as it was in 1972. Everyone agreed to keep it the same, but the 16mm film has been converted and enhanced digitally."

While T. Rex built a cult following in the U.S. thanks to the hit single "Bang A Gong (Get It On)," as well as the classic full-lengths "Electric Warrior" and "The Slider," the group -- and Bolan in particular -- became a phenomenon back home in England. T. Rex mania was so intense in the territory that it warranted comparisons to when the Beatles first hit a decade earlier. Sensing this, Starr signed on to direct a film about the group.

"Born To Boogie" faithfully reflected Marc Bolan's vision at the time. While a few bits are quite indulgent (including a tea sipping scene shot in a garden), T. Rex was a mean live act, as evidenced by various clips from a sold-out performance at the cavernous Wembley Empire Pool. Also included is a jam session with one of Bolan's biggest supporters, Elton John (news), which sees the augmented T. Rex rock through "Tutti Frutti," as well as a version of its teen anthem, "Children of the Revolution."

The new DVD is bolstered with matinee and evening performances shot on March 18, 1972, as well as a pair of documentaries: "Cosmic Rock -- When T. Rex Ruled the World" and "Re-Born To Boogie -- Restoration Doco." Also included are commentaries and deleted scenes. Rolan says the latter "were all found in different locations. Like finding a treasure, it took time but once unearthed, things just kept on coming -- some of the jams and different angles of the two concerts. You can see how the band really starts to jam and hit their high."

Starr even offered some advice to Bolan during the restoration process: "He made sure to help keep it moving, but he really felt to keep the film in its original state."

Although Rolan was too young to have witnessed T. Rex firsthand, the film offered him some insight into his dad's world. "You really get to see how rock'n'roll was king," he says. "T. Rex might have been called glam, but the truth is they had a large sound that never let down."

JUDAS PRIEST FANS

If you go to VH1 - sorry, I don't have the direct link any more, search for Judas Priest and you can stream their new CD, before you can buy it.

I think it goes on sale next week, but you can listen to it now.

Not great, not bad - few are a bit too long, but there are some good riffs.

Worth checking out.
