Hi Joe!

I tried writing you an intro letter the other night, but I'm not sure if it was sent right or not, so I am sending you one more.

jMy name is Deborah Duggan and I live in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I was introduced to you by my husband on our second date, when he played me "Love Thing". He got me hooked on you and we both think you are great!!!

Eric has been a fan of yours since he first heard you in 1988. He has always dreamed of seeing you and he is going to get his chance. We will be in Las Vegas on vacation the week of April 3. And we found out through your website that you will be in Phoenix on April 6. So for Valentine's Day I gave him 2 tickets to the show (of course, he can't come without me)! We are renting a car in Vegas and driving to Phoenix and back all in one day, but we are so excited and know that it will be well worth the trip.

Anyway, we would give anything to meet you, but I'm sure you get this all of the time. If you are giving away backstage passes to this show, we might be lucky enough to win. In case we don't, though, would you please play "Love Thing" for Eric & ?. It would be awesome!!!

See you in Phoenix (hopefully backstage)!

Deborah Duggan

ibanezmike: www.rockmagic.net is pretty good. If you use Internet explorer, you may have to deal with annoying pop ups. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, you're safe.

Hi! It's my first post. I'm guitar player, and I was trying to find out what kind of effect or pedal Satriani used in the music called Searching of the new album. It's the part that goes from 00:00:56 to 00:01:20 in the music.

AAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

FARGIN' COMPUTERS, I HATE THEM HATE THEM HATE THEM.

Mine has crashed once again, infected and everything was gone for the second time in a month aaaugggghhhhhhhhh!! It is so distressing and depressing and I'm so pissed!!! Tuesday I am unplugging everything and taking it in to be wiped completely out to see if that fixes anything, so won't be answering any e-mails or anything for awhile. Sorry Steven and Mark, I'll answer when I can but I'll only have my computer at work for a half hour a day to check on T2J, look at mail, etc.

Okay, rant over, (not really, it continues here at home) and wanted to reply to a couple of things:

JuJu808, PLEASE take extra care and caution to keep yourself safe. We can't live our lives in fear, but can be very aware of safety and potential risks. Michelle had good advice for you, so please be careful.

Estrela, we are still here!! My son is doing okay, we've made some changes to some things at school so hopefully he will do better there. He's trying to decide on a Satch song to play for the talent show at school later this year.....there are so MANY fantastic songs, it's hard to choose! But that will all be part of the fun leading up to the show. I hope he does Joe proud!!

Stevee T, UNFAIR QUESTION!! Lol!! Joe is like potato chips, you can't eat just one, so how can we be expected to choose just one album of his to be stranded with!! That's impossible!! :) I gotta have em all!! PLUS any new ones that come out while I'm stranded...somebody better float me a package!! And I'm with Estrela, DVD's are vital too, gotta have all the Joe DVD's ever made right there with me....and a player and electricity of course! I can live on coconuts and fish for the rest of my life, but CANNOT live without my Joe fix every day!!

It's likely going to snow here tomorrow and Monday..whoohoo that I have the day off and can snuggle down at home....hope everyone else has a fabulous weekend! TaTa!

I got started on a new track...now actually (1:37am)...it's sounding pretty cheerful which is a first for my stuff as it is usually in minor keys lol.

I'm hoping to make a small collection of new tracks for a short album which I will give to one of my friends as a present for getting me into computer recording etc...plus he provided me with some noice recording software after his brother bought the newest version of it...I got the hand-me-downs but who cares it rocks :-)

Kinda' little way of saying thanks.

962 I really need that DVD now...Viking Kong is my favourite Racer X instrumental track...I have never seen "Guitar Wars" about though :-(

Chris Wylde: I think for that song I am pretty sure he is using a Wammy Peddle, probally on an octave up setting.

anyone know when Vai's new cd comes out? I just pre-ordered it and it comes with some guitar picks. I was hoping to get it by friday because I got my schools talent show and I think those picks will give me a little extra help b/c their Vai's. So I'm just asking if theres any hope of getting them by then.

im gona start writing a album, just instrumental stuff. i tend to write alot of melodic riffs with unexpected changes. but im finding it hard to come up with any songs, so tought maybe a little advise from the master himself would come in handy. as i said, im from ireland and have only been in calafornia for 3 mounths.

all advise is very well come.

thanks, darren

Hey Joe, when you go to australia, try to make the aussies say the word "snake" and see if they say "snaike" or "snake"

today is a quiet saturday night for me. My company is the books. Currently playing on my computer is Korn - Thoughtless. Great song.

Thinking the next song will be the Journey. I love the part after the beginning riffs. so smooth.

for some reason, the song I love to listen to before talking on a long journey is "you saved my life"

What a fantastic song. Brings back some memories.

News Break 02/19/2005 20:25:18 EST Serial Rape Suspect Returned to Denver

DENVER - A convicted rapist who is a suspect in a series of rapes, committed after he allegedly confessed to an earlier attack but was released, was returned to Denver on Saturday after being arrested while driving a stolen car. Brent J. Brents was arrested late Friday in Glenwood Springs, about 150 miles west of Denver, following a high-speed pursuit after police tracked him by following signals from a stolen cell phone, Denver Police Chief Gerry Whitman said. He was being held in lieu of $25 million bail.

Brents, 35, is suspected in sexual assaults on five women and girls earlier this month in one Denver neighborhood.

"We have significant reason to believe that there are many, many additional victims," said Dave Fisher, the police department's chief of investigations.

Those attacks came nearly three months after police in Aurora let him go on Nov. 23 after questioning him about claims that he inappropriately touched a former girlfriend's 8-year-old son.

Aurora police said he told officers the boy was telling the truth, but no arrest warrant was issued until Jan. 26.

Aurora Police Chief Ricky Bennett said Brents was allowed to leave after his confession because additional investigation was needed.

"Our goal ... is to achieve a successful prosecution here, not to make a quick and hasty arrest," Bennett told a news conference Friday.

This month, Brent allegedly attacked five women, including two 11-year-old sisters and their 67-year-old grandmother, according to an arrest warrant. He is also a suspect in a sexual assault on a woman in a Denver alley in October.

"He is a repeat sex offender and pedophile who doesn't differentiate between men and women, boys and girls," Whitman said.

On Friday, another woman was assaulted and robbed in the same area where the other five assaults were reported. Police said the victim was brutally beaten, and she was listed in serious but stable condition at a Denver hospital.

"I was personally surprised he was so close," Whitman said.

That woman's cell phone and car were stolen, and Whitman said the phone helped lead to the capture.

"We were tracking the victim's cell phone up through (Interstate 70), notified the (state patrol) and local jurisdictions that the car, or at least the cell phone, was on its way up there," he said.

With that information, police spotted the assault victim's car. State and local officers chased it to Glenwood Springs, where Brents was arrested after the car struck a police vehicle, Whitman said.

Brents was with a woman when he was arrested. Police said she was also a victim, but they did not immediately disclose whether she had been kidnapped.

Brents had been released from prison in July after being sent to a state hospital for about three years and then to prison for 14 years for raping a young boy and a girl.

Karen Steinhauser, who prosecuted Brents for two rapes in 1988, said she put together a deal in 1988 in which Brents pleaded innocent by reason of insanity to one of the rapes so he could get treatment.

"The whole intention was to get him off the street for a very lengthy period of time. And during that period of time, the intention was also to get him help," said Steinhauser, now a professor at the University of Denver Law School.

On Saturday, about 250 people rallied outside a pet-supply shop where the shop's owner had been raped. Neighborhood resident Kevin McGlothlen said police helicopters have flown over the home he shares with his wife and their two children for a week since the latest attacks.

"As much as we appreciate the extra police on the streets, it's the things like neighborhood involvement, like turning on your lights...that make it possible to go outside in your own neighborhood."
