jazzzzy, haha, of course, Steve Morse. Why do I always get him and Vin confused? It does, of course, explain why he's playing a Steve Morse Signature model! haha, my head has just about quit working!!

Steven Wilde, yeah I hope it turns out to be worth the hassle too!
I just listened through Vai's new record. It's kinda weird, not what I hoped for. I guess it's good, but it hasn't bowled me over in amazement like Population 1 did. Then again, ITLIS? didn't bowl me over the first few times I heard it, but now it's my favourite Joe record. maybe RI: Reflections will grow on me?!

It just seems like....I dunno......with Passion & Warfare and Fire Garden, Vai had something he passionately wanted to express. He no longer needs to do that, he certainly has nothing to proove......I'm wondering if the ballance between good marketing/artistic representation, and simple desire and feeling is starting to level out. For Joe it seems that simple desire and expression of feeling are now as strong as, if not stronger than, ever before. Oh and Joe wasn't included in the "thanks" in the CD liner! Grrrrr. hehe

Man I'm being harsh on Vai lately.....

mari - Germany was pretty cool... it was nice to see that side of the family.. and get wasted with them... lol...

there's lots of snow over there and it's real cold too..

Shredz is sort of going slowly right now due to the David Cross work.... more frustration...
we'll get there in the end...... lol..

how's things with you girlie... all is well I hope..

Zen - even if the music of David Cross doesn't appeal to you, I think you'd still be able to enjoy or admire where his perspective comes from
steven wilde - Germany is a fun place... I like it there.. my family live up on the north west not far from the Dutch border..

Zen, believe it or not I find John McLaughlin Mahavishnu Orchestra stuff even more dissonant than our friend Mr Fripp who can be very very dissonant but who can also be very ethereal......

Just this past weekend I was listening to the "Red" album again... Great dissonance in there!!!!

Now for you..... "Moonchild" is good, but I think I will slighty modify "Jacknife Beat" to "Chainsaw Beat" for you...

Hello everyone, i just want to say to Joe than we are expecting in Argentina this year again. I went to the past year G3 and just want than they or just him have some dates in South - America again. I have heard than the G3 is going to tour by Japan with John Petrucci, ¡Estaría muy bueno que pasaran con esa formación por esta zona del planeta! (it would be pretty awesome the you come here with that trio). Well and i was wandering to know how do you think about the Argentinian public. Don´t ever leave the music.

Hasta pronto (soon, i hope so)

Phrydom I accidentally screwed that idea up...but it wasn't all my fault, I blame spray-mount to be honest if it didnt do what it did to my lovely coat o' green the guitar would've been finished by now.

But anywayz I'm summarising some new ideas for that guitar and hopefully something will be done before i go to University.

how have you been man?

When do we find out the final set of tracks to be held on the T2J2 cd? :-)

Cheers a sack-load

Thanks IbanezGuitarist for the answer about the Whammy!

I was woundering, two things when Joe is doing a show, does he uses direct boxes insted mics in the cabs? And in the cd record, does he uses direct boxes? I mean for all the dirty sounds.

If he uses, what is the brand of his direct boxes?

MJS99 - I have been using Mozilla/Firefox for a while. I like it a lot. NO POPUPS!!! And when you go the page to post your message hit "CTL-plus" and it will make the post window bigger. Much easier to see. Then you hit "CTL -minus" to make it small again.

VFRocker - Nice driving advice forDelfino. But it did strike funny about the *crosscountry*trek. From my perspective, you driving across country is like driving across the state for me. Just struck me funny.

Sweetpicking: Man I know exactly how you feel. Im 17 and I'm in 11th grade and I play guitar. It seems like every kid in my school either plays punk rock or acoustic crap. I like some of the acoustic stuff but EVERYONE plays it, there is no diversity. It seems like all of the kids that play electric guitar are perfectly content with not improving and just playing downstroke chords and no leads. I've been playing since I was 7 years old and I am into Satch, Vai, Stevie Ray, Jason Becker, Dream Theater, Yngwie and other great guitarists. I would love to have someone in my school that I could jam with but there's not. But I'm in my schools talent show and it's on this Friday. I'm going to play this sick guitar solo and then House Full of Bullets by Satch with some backing tracks. Last year I was in it and I came in 3rd. I played this cool solo I made up and I played behind my back like SRV and then I played Trilogy Suite by Yngwie. It was so cool, when I finished most of the crowd was chanting my name and they did the it's all over chant. I never felt better in my life. I came in third and it was funny b/c a bunch of people were like you got screwed out of first when honestly I could care less if I won or not. But heres who the judges were, our town supervisor, a columist for the newspaper and a local DJ from a radio station that plays rap and pop crap. I kind of figured when I went into it thats what would happen. But I had a hell of a time playing for all those people and I cant wait until friday when I play again.

Whats also funny there's a kid in my school who is in 12th grade and he is one of the kids that just plays acoustic guitar. Now I could care less what he plays b/c I think no matter what you play as long as you're playing you're doing a good job. But we we're having try-outs for this years show back in January. I brought all my guitar stuff to school. So I was down in the basement warming up and screwing around before it was my turn to try-out. As I was playing some of my friends and other people came down to watch me play. A lot of the janitors came down too b/c I think some of them play too. But that one kid who plays acoustic guitar, Matt, came down and watched while some of my buddies were there. He stayed for about 5 minutes and went back upstairs. One of my buddies was upstairs after he went up and he heard him say, "That's all Jake plays, he's got to play with more omph than with grrrr. He should play more of the stuff I play b/c that stuff isn't cool." I wasn't mad when I heard that he said that b/c I knew he was just jelious. How does he know that I don't play that stuff. I do, I love to rock out to some Joe Walsh or Dream Theater. But the next day bands had to try-out so his band tried out and one of my friends band did too. Now you're not suppose to be in the auditorium when the band is trying out. And when my friends band was playing he was in there. He comes out half way through their song and he goes, " Oh my God, those guys suck so bad I think they're on crack." That really made me mad b/c I am friends with those guys. So I went up to him and got in his face and said, "Listen you dont need to be bad mouthing the other bands like that, you're acting like a real A-hole." Then he says, "I was just kidding about it." Even though he wasnt b/c hes the kind of guy that needs to put others down to make him feel better about himself. But anyways, his band which is like 3 acoustic guitar players made it into the show. Heres the cool thing, in the show I will be playing right after them and I'm going to shred so hard and play the best that I can that they'll forget about him. I dont want to sound like a jerk but this kid really deserves it.

But wish me luck for Friday and I'll let you guys know how it goes.
