Ah yes the odourmeter ,being the missed application of deodorant if you have missed an application of deodorant do not be allarmed yes you smell, simply apply the deodoarant to most exposed area of your body do not worry about reaching the back ,because its more of the front of your body which is particular ,as your armpits starv for the deodorant the pores have a tendancy to draw from further away ,thus thesmearing or application of the deodorant to your whole body being very important when you smear the deodorant will be sucked up into the pores to feed or mask the smell from the missed application.IF you do not smear when you miss you will notice maybe your deodorant isnt strong enough anymore because of the buil up of odour so yes smear the entire front of your body when you miss an application and do this whenever you miss we do not want to smell you DrWolfenstien.

Giggles: (Michelle, #4 is for YOU!! :)
My Kind of Philosophy...I don't because
1. I don't do windows because...
I love birds & don't want one to run into a clean window & get hurt. (I am
compassionate)
2. I don't wax floors because...
I am terrified a guest will slip, hurt themselves, I'll feel terrible &
they may sue me. (I am careful & poor)
3. I don't mind the dust bunnies because...
they are very good company, I have named most of them, & they agree with
everything I say. (I am
imaginative)
4. I don't disturb cobwebs because...
I want every creature to have a home of their own & my family loves
spiders. (I don't but I am kind)
5. I don't Spring Clean because...
I love all the seasons & don't want the others to get jealous. (I am fair
minded)
6. I don't plant a garden because...
I don't want to get in God's way, he is an excellent designer. (I am
courteous)
7. I don't put things away because...
my family will never be able to find them again. (I am considerate)
8. I don't do gourmet meals when I entertain because...
I don't want my guests to stress out over what to make when they invite me
over for dinner.
9. I don't iron because...
I choose to believe them when they say "Permanent Press". (I am trusting)
10. I don't stress much because...
"A Type" personalities die young & I want to stick around & become a
wrinkled up crusty ol' woman!

grrwood - This topic comes up quite often. It seems that the general opinion, and anyone correct me if I'm wrong, is to start slow. Play with a metronome, as accuarate as possible . Then increase the tempo SLOWLY. Being sure to keep accurate and your tempo tight. Over time your speed will come. But don't sacrifice speed for accuracy. That will come back to haunt you. Also, make sure you warm up your hands and stretch. It sounds geeky but it will save you pain down the road. One last thing, posture and playing position is very important. If you don't believe me I'll have you get in touch with the other guitarist in my band that has to have carpal tunnel surgery from bad playing position. Above all enjoy.

Amy!
Welcome to the site.. I'll admit I was a little unsure at 1st if you were who you said you were... But no worries, I Believe you!!! hehe
Cause I'll tell you to be honest, I created a new loggin name here on the satriani site and to be honest I played a joke on people pretending I was Mark Tremonti who I think is a gifted musician as well, it didn't go over that well here...hehe
I'll admit I'm a bit of an old school rocker, listening to bands like Great White, Whitesnake, Guns N Roses, Joe of course, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen etc etc... but I also like new rock such as Evanesence, Nickelback, Creed, Alter Bridge, Seether, Default, 3 Doors Down etc etc...
I'm a pretty silent guy around here these days, really busy with my own band and work and all that great stuff, but I'll say something when it needs to be said no questions asked... I would like to take the time and say that you have a great voice, one that is very unique, and I like what it is you and the rest of the gang do! keep doing what you guys do best and keep the music real!!! THAT INCLUES YOU JOE!!! LOL
Me and my band have an interesting thing going that relates to alot of 70s and 80s rock... bands like Journey, STYX, Yes, Rush, Santana... A keyboard/Piano mixture with rocking guitar riffs, we love writing ballads, but have wrote so many of those, I told the guys that we need to explore other stuff including guitar driven stuff, Acoustic Rock, and more blues for a bit of emotion and soul... I love the blues, my keyboardist is the most amazing rhythm guitar player as well, in my opinion... he can do things with rhythmic patterns that get you hooked into a groove that is always unique, so we definetly have to explore all that stuff in great detail to hopefully have a shot at things...
one question Amy!!! Are you good at thinking of band names? something that relates to what we do, everytime I come up with one I do a bit of research and the idea is already being used...hehe I'm sure we'll come up with one that sounds good on the lips one of these days, but any help would greatly be appreciated...
Anyways!!! Later Amy... nice to see a professional recording artist from a slightly different genre have real taste in music!
Hi Joe! How's things with you? keep in touch dude!!

I agree with you that crazy Motley Crue video - was it for Enslaved or Smoke the Sky, forgot which song. When I saw it, I thought - what the F - did amateurs film this - then I realized it was - by us in the audience. Bon Jovi did that once - and it worked out great, but not this time.

Joe was scheduled to play at the Norva in Norfolk VA years ago. Norva was brand new at the time and they didn't have their act straight for inspection so Joe couldn't play that night. I never heard of rescheduling ever since. i thought he said he would make it the date up but it's been 5 years plus.
Joe what do I got to do to get you to play in the Virginia Beach VA area?

Amy Lee I saw your pictures! You are HOT
CIVGEEK Happy Birth Day!!!!!! I will be 37 on March 7th!
Thanks Everyone for your prayers.
I once got the home phone number of Christine Steele, a female Christian Heavy Metal singer. She burned a copy of one of her albums for me that is currently unavailable! I heard a song by her (The Candle, The Flame) on Calvalry Satellite Radio, late at night. When I called the radio station at Calvary Chapel (Twin Falls, Idaho) the lady there personaly knew Christine. She gave me Christine's number.
I talked to her while she was cooking dinner in her kitchen!!!
She even labeled all the songs on the cd cover for me, and mailed it to me!
She is another cool person who is "real" like Joe Satriani!!!
