Ahhh....parenthood......As I'm changing my daughters diaper..I am pondering about where in the world she could have got her hands on a "pea soup smoothie" when all she's supposed to be getting is what her mother has to offer?

962: For the T2J CD 2 I'll be doing the "mastering" but I want you to get the mix sounding as good as you can and then puting it as a .wav onto cd. The mastering that I'll be doing to everything is trying to get the volume consistent from song to song, however, I won't try to make the EQ and tambre of the tracks coexist, because they are all individual beasts haah! Other than that, there isn't much I can do to a final mix....so try to get it to be the perfect mix, and remember, don't go compression happy, because I'm not going to make all of the tracks super compressed and crappy sounding to match the volume of a monster over compressed track...I'm going to get everything close in volume, while still making the cd natural sounding. Hope this helps

GrecoGuitarist- Lars is my all time fav. drummer because I have been a fan of Metallica for so long. I've seen them many times. I meet them personally 3 times. Once with Cliff!! I have Kill em All, Ride the lighting and Master Of Puppets autographed! Along with Cliff's autograph! I guess I am a loyal fan. Now, is Lars the best drummer? Hell no! lol. Mike Portnoy is a killer drummer. I agree with you, the fills and half measures make up his style. You can really hear that on "Pull Me Under." I like it when a drummer goes off on his own and everything fits in the end. Thats talent. Everyone in Dream Theater is talented. John Petrucci.... Need I say more? lol. Another kick ass guitarist! Look at Neil Pert from Rush.. another killer drummer. I guess what I am trying to say is there are many talented drummers and guitarists out there. And everyone has there favs. for what ever reason. I back you 100% on Dream Theater! Don't feel that you butt in. I enjoy talking music and comparing notes on different bands. Until the next time....Keep Jammin'!!

Steven Wilde: just caught up on the last 6 pages...go easy on yourself dude...its just text...little things can seem irritating, I know, but no need to let them all bottle up and get you irritated...stay cool, you're too good of a guy to be angry...lol;)
anyone know a quicker remedy for finger blisters than plain old rest....still conditioning my fingers to the rigors of guitar playing and they're starting to hurt...

music4me5150: didn't mean to imply that favorites had to be the best.(though Lars isn't too far off from the others)
Just figured while drummers were the topic I'd get my two cents in:) That's awesome that you saw the original four!
I've never had the opportunity to catch metallica live and I still am kicking myself for never having done so....Hopefully they'll start touring again, if not already. I like your choice of comparison to Peart too. Rush is another of my fav's. anyway, if you know anything about ny tour info on Hammet and the gang, please lemme know. peace!

Excellent Canadian detective work Sherlock DCK!!!!
Jazzy, only approx 30 words in that post were actually DCK's so his T2J2 post still stands proud as his longest lol!!!
I noticed that our Amy/Snow friend had not been back much since I asked her to post some "proof" on the evanescence site of her supposed admiration for Joe and perhaps a fond welcome for T2J boardsters... That would have been a simple task for the real Amy...
Hope the real Amy loves Joe!!! Inspector DCK, finding that out is your next task!!!

Dear Mr. Satriani,
My name is William Jenks a classical guitarist and owner of Portland Classic Guitar store in Portland Oregon. I was wondering if you might be interested in performing a solo performance in our new hall. We have a concert series and regularly bring in some great talent including the Gutiar Foundation of America winner, recent Grammy Winner fingerstyle guitarist Doug Smith and many others. I wanted to expose the students of the studio to the best of the rock guitar world so I thought of you.
I noticed you were doing a show in Portland in April so I thought we might be able to book you around that time. Please let me know if your interested. I would honored to have you perform in our hall.

GrecoGuitarist...IMHPO...I remember way back in WWI, that I used to have calluses that would be cut off the the unwounded strings when bending...I have not had that problem since I started playing 2-3 hours a day, 6-8 hours on the weekend...so I guess my moral to this story is...play your ass off till your finger tips feel like their glowing all the time...then it'll be like this warm reminder that you're persuing your passion..if in fact playing guitar is your passion...IMH(possessed)O...lol

GrecoGuitarist- You did not offend me in anyway. I enjoy talking about music. I am from the old school of metal and rock! I have many stories to share. And I can guarantee my stories are true! Miss Amy wanna be Lynn. LOL--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Jazzzzzzzy- I will have to check out Opeth. I listen to Tool and Perfect Circle. Great bands. I am leaning towards going to see Vai.------------------------------------------------------------------------OME- That was a very good point about "KillEm All" How can you re-record a classic! When I saw Metallica during the "Black Album" tour I was every upset when they played "Seek and Destroy." They had Jason sing! My thoughts are "Seek and Destroy" is the #1 classic tune from Metallica. James should be the one to sing that every time!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Powerslave- I completely forgot about Charlie!!! Another killer drummer. That guy is a BEAST on his kit!!! LOL

Stevee T: long hard road ahead then...lol. I can deal! play through it it is...cause yes, I do intend to pursue playing as hard as humanly possible.(though I know EVERYONE probably says that when they start)...thanks for the input...and if it's not too much to ask, what is all this seemingly hilarious talk about jazzzzzy and the Joe Interview? if it's an inside joke, I understand but it would be nice to know whats so damn funny!:)
