good night michelle. I have to wake up at 6:30. But I am an hour behind you >:)

Good Night Joe. If you are in Australia already, good morning. Whatever you do Joe, whether its hanging out and hunting alligators with Steve Irwin or BBQing a kangaroo and drinking Fosters, please do tell us how Aussies pronounce snake.

Is it Snake or Snaike (pronounced "snaa - ike")

thanx.

Cruiserboy - welcome to the site, seems that the vast majority of the community has to get some sleep ...... some persons exepted.......
So you play guitar for about 2 years, I play for about 4 years (but sometimes I think I do not get better in playing); do you enjoy playing and what songs of Joe do you like?

SCORE!!!!

I know this will make me sound like a total ass-hole/bastard, but me and my girlfriend finally broke up....YES!!! I felt for the longest time that we hadn't connected on enough levels and it was getting really uncomfortable for both of us...Now I can go find someone to study genetics with...thats the kind of girl I want!!!

Speaking of genetics...I'm 3/25 done w/ my bio paper...I'm too damn busy!!!!

Sup to everyone? Let me know how you're doing for goodness sake...I feel left out here, I'm too busy to get really caught up and noone is catching me up on them...So to everyone here...I WANNA KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON...LOL

Take it easy all and have much funness and futile chattering and let it be like flaming death on a stick...LMAO!!!!

962 I thought the VEGEmite advice was most important too ;)

too often americans, when encountering this product, misuse it & too quickly denounce it as YUK!

Stevee T myself - i love multigrain bread, thick slice. not that thin sandwich slice stuff.

kendalslack i have never put VM on fruit bread!! :) maybe i should try that - but don't tell non-aussies to layer the stuff on. they can't take it......even I, a 27yr old veteran to VM can't take too much of the stuff ;)

BigVitaminBBunny.. . .. . . .....'because we love our vegemite!'

BigBunny - the thing with your guinea pigs is funny, the most of us have the problem that itīs too cold and everyone hopes spring comes out at least ...... by the way: thanks for that VEGEmite info, some of us will remember when having the chance to travel to Australia some day.......

uah, haha, I can actually relate to how you're feeling about splitting up with your girl. If it's not working properly then it's not worth carrying on with! So you want a lady you can talk genetics with? Interesting! I'm not too fussy, tho I'd prefer a russian! haha
BigBunny, respect to you on the riding.....I really should be doing something like that, but it's kinda sh*t where I live, it rains all the time which puts me off! hehe. That's really cute about having to put the G' Pigs in the bathroom to cool off! bless 'em! Just don't put them in the fridge :-)
tune, hows life in Vienna? Is it still cold and snowy there?

SteeveT - I love footie.... I coach 10 and 12 year old goal keepers.... it's an amazing feeling to see them take the things we've worked on in training and take them into a match...
winning and losing never bothers me...
if we win but the keeper is playing shit or not fully focused.. we have words at half time and after the game..
we can lose but the keeper can still have a stonking game and come off the pitch with a big smile - knowing he played at 100%
the thing with being a keeper is that if you mid-field and / or defense are getting rolled over... you're the last man... and in situations like that it's not often a 1 on 1 scenario....
gaol keeping is a surprisingly technical position... very few people realise just how technical it is....

I love it.. lmao..

Artanis.....if you want a real good laugh you should try to find some T2J pages from when I first started coming here. Shortly after I joined I mentioned that "in some pictures I saw, Eric looked strung out on coke".....he had bags under his eyes......Well, a very short time later Eric responded and defended his appearance as a result of touring and a lack of sleep or something. Boy did I really feel like an idiot...lol...but he was very kind and said that it was OK..no harm done.

Yesterday I finished my RFI project:

Using several different approaches:

1: Cleaned up the power at my power box, placed three coils around ferrite toroids each in series, about 14 turns each for line nuetral and ground.

2: Placed toroids at the outlet box for the power in the basement room I am in. same as above.

3: Opened up my equipment and researched the signal path and ground, found several issues, mainly power was not well connected and no filters where they should be. Also found many ground loops in the PCBs for each effect unit I have. One unit did not have a ground at all.

4: Placed three torroids in the power lines inside the units at the PSU.

5: Floated all chassis grounds from the PCB perspective except at only one point Star config. Connected Signal ground to chassis at same point Then routed the chassis ground to the PSU connected the chassis ground to Earth ground. Each ground system gets only one place to connect.

6: Placed Toroid ferrite core at input between signal and shield aka tip and sleeve in an unbalanced config.

7: Placed toroids as above between chassis and shield.

8: added new 12 gauge twisted - three conductor to one unit

9: Placed isolator between face plate at each mount screw/bolt location as well as an isolator between each screw and the muonting holes of each unit - no screw touches any chassis, no unit chassis touches any rack mount case metal. Skipped two mount hole spaces between each rack effect unit - no unit is not touching the other units

10: Each patch cord is isolated from other patch cord at the male connector shield - no metal touches any metal.

Tips: If you have any part of the effect units touching any part of anything else that is a conductor you have shorted any shield and have left an opening for the EMI, electromagnetic interference to run freely into your unit. EMI gets into your unit via current as in Ohms Law, I = V/R. The voltage in this case is the AM radio transmission through air. When it hits anything that conducts electricity that thing is Resistance R. Since at that point you have a Voltage V, applied over a Resistance then you have a Current I. Current looks for the path of least resistance so if you short any part of the system you allow the current to run from one point to the other.

Prognosis:

My rig is absolutely clean without any AM RFI in the amplified signal, it is now the cleanest rig I have ever heard. I cranked up the gain to full in the effects with all distortion and sustain etc applied and I cranked the gain on my two Aniversary series Marshalls. I heard no AM RFI whatsoever. Even the AC buzz you would normally hear when you crank an amp is gone.

I can now return to my recording and hope I can still make the submit date.

X->out

tune do you have g. pigs? we don't get cold weather here :( i'd love some rain to fall down! :) in Perth there is no such thing as a winter anymore. we have water restrictions because of the lack of rain.

962 I usually put one g. pig in the shower - the floor is nice & cool for em :) my 2 olders guinea pigs Piggy & Chewie run loose around the backyard, so i don't have to worry about keeping them cool - they find a shady spot & snooze zzzz. but my young ones (6mths) Woody & Buzz - i have them in a hutch & in a cage on the lawn.....sadly i had to seperate them at the end of last year because Buzz started to bash Woody up :( if you don't have one - i highly recommend gettitng an exercise bike! i bought one last October & it's helped me get fit :) today i did 25km in 1hr on it whilst listening to Strange Beautiful Music - though i skipped 'Sleepwalk' because slow songs make me peddle slow ;)

if you buy one get one with a good seat - i paid AUD$450 for my ex. bike. rain or shine you can bike inside ;D

Do The Stu...thanks for the link & yes...that's the one...great stuff!

=================================================

GrecoGuitarist...I'd go to your nearest reputable music store & ask a qualified sales person...what you're look for...in the way of tone....then ask him to fit your price tag. There are lots of great amps out there that are not too expensive...just need to find the one right for you....hope that helps..peace!!!!

=================================================

civgeek...I did a little research...and I believe they're trying to accomplish the same thing...and being that I've not seen one spec'd on a locking system...it seems they are, but I could not find a ESP note dedicated to it's purpose....hope I helped...the word compensation leads to that conclusion.....

Jazzy, so much for the little bit of sleep I had coming. I made it to bed at 2:30, and my daughter woke me up at 5 because she was sick. I was going to crash on the sofa after I got my son off to school, but she came downstairs and snagged it before I got there. Damn, I'm tired! lol!

Good morning people!
