I am having trouble finding anything on the new t2j project, like rules, bitrate of the mp3, song length, fine print, email address to send to, cutoff date, etc.

slanshroom...If I could afford one right now...I'd get the Roland V set bout $5000.00 US...didn't know you were a drummer too!

Namm Man...(Thanks for reminding me of Greg) I just got off the phone with Greg Howe's receptionist, for my first lesson at the end of this month at his studio! Whoooooo Hoooooooo! THIS SHOULD BE KILLER!!!! I have not taken a guitar lesson since 1971...wow...(unless you count listening to Joe Satriani every day a lesson...which it certainly is).

"A man suspected of killing a judge and two others at an Atlanta courthouse Friday has been arrested after a massive manhunt. Brian Nichols surrendered to police at an apartment complex in an Atlanta suburb. Police said a truck belonging to a U.S. customs officer found slain in Atlanta today was parked at the complex."

Didn't this happen in Duluth GA.? Was it close to you?

Steve - That is awesome. I haven't had a private lesson in forever. I would be scared to go now. They'd find all my bad habits!! I may take some over the summer when I have some time. I'd love to get more fusion licks going. It's a wait and see.

"would the Satch audience take to Greg's Jazz Fusion?"

I think there would be a whole new type of fusion created in such a unique scenario. Greg is rock, he can shred with the best of em. To get this guy on stage with Vai and Satch... and while were at it even the score and bring in Gambale for a G4................

Still high (naturally) from Nashville.

VFR, that's excellent news amigo, it may well arrive on monday! Sweet!

hehe yeah you'll probably see me in the Porsche! haha. I'd love a Caterham, but I just know a 944 will be possibly a tad cheaper, will be much more practical, and I can listen to music while I drive! The caterham would be ace for immersive driving, but I couldn't hack just doing a motorway cruise for the 5 hours it'll take to get there!

Re. discs going - my mum used to use the car and had the brakes done not long ago, and then she got her new car so the Saxo didn't get used as often....just occasionally tokeep it running. But yeah, I reckon the discs are f*ck*d!!

Stevee T, you bastard, you have a Triton! Is it the one with the valve in it?
marimariSRV, I never knew you were signed up to Nuno stuff! I'm so tempted to finish off my credit limit on a trip to Germany to see Nuno! hehe. I really want to see what the N5 and N6 are like, I bet they play beautifully!
Namm Man, haha, Gambale?! That'd be a great laugh to see, I kind of imagine him doing the Yngwie thing but with class, ie. playing some scare-you-to-death type guitar phrases, as Paul Gilbert would, I'm sure. I'd love to see Gilbert, Gambale and Kotzen jam together.
I put the Virtual Vintage 2.1 and Tone Zone in my SA1260 today.....they went in no problem but I'm a little disappointed. I'll probably, at some point, swap the TZ out for a Steve's Special. The V-V 2.1 is okay but not quite powerful enough. I may stick it in my GIO, and replace it (and the middle pickup) with a Cruiser. The V-V is cool for dirty Strat tones and almost-Andy Timmons tones, but doesn't have enough power to do the smoother Joe/Eric Johnson type thing.

It'll work well in the GIO though, since that'll mainly be a rhythm guitar.

civgeek...I'm as excited as shit...I'll be practicing non-stop for the next 2 weeks....I already do 2-3 hours every night, and 6-8 on weekends...this should push me into new territory...wooooooohooooo!

=================================================

Namm Man....It would be a VERY different G3/G4...I guess the question would be...does Joe's Management condone?

THANKS AGAIN for posting his link... I have not been there in months...and when I saw lessons...I said...hmmmm...let's see when he's available & how much he charges..... If you commit to 4 hours, you can break it up in 1 lesson, or 4.

You must bring, Guitar & Audio Recorder to record the lessons.

I figure the first lesson we'll just get to know each other...I'll show him what I know, (and he'll blow me away LOL)...then we'll jam...I'll ask him to show me some cool stuff, and ask him advice on my frailties...

962...I think that's the Triton Extreme...but my workstation will take me years to learn everything it has to offer...being that I focus primarliy on the guitar...

=================================================

Zenfish....I don't own a single Greg Howe CD yet, but being as I'll be taking lessons from him...it would be wise to become familiar with his work...he's a great player...and do enjoy his style of playing very much.

Jimi Hendrix...played golf on Third Stone from the Sun...lol...with a club like his...he can play golf where ever he wants...lmao!!

Anyone here go to any of Vai's shows for his newest tour yet? I'm going March 30 to see Vai and I want to get an idea of what songs he's playing. And if you've been to a show of his this year, any guest appearances?

HEY all , It's great to read about all the excited people going to Joe's shows , I could not resist, I just had to go. The thought of having to wait till 2006 for the next tour- too long. I'll be going to the Big Easy show in Spokane and then Mr. Steve Vai the following weekend in Portland. April is going to be a good time!! Yah!
