Hi

I am going to the Forum concert March 18 in Melb with both of my brothers.

It doesn't look like the after show passes have been decided yet, when or how will we find out?

Fingers crossed ;)

I read some GOOD News! in X-Press magazine (local FREE Music mag.) today - Joe will be appearing at a Guitar shop here in Perth from 2pm-4pm on March 22nd, the day of the gig. i am so there! :) *boing*

if any Perth Satch fans are reading this, the place is Guitar World, Cannington - there's a pretty big advert in X-Press, so i'm sure a few will turn up - probably 1000 i'm guessing......scooba i hope you get down there, you can meet Satch man! :)

i'm going to try to get there a few hrs early. does anyone have any advice on what i should take with me - should i see if Joe can sign my acoustic cheapy Ibanez? or should i just try to get a photo with him?

i'll have to take my painting with me! JOY

Artanis- lol on your joke... i say there isnt a bounty... cant be one when its the truth right? :) its funny on the voices not being what you might have thought... the worst though is hearing a recording of your own voice... i am usually horrified, i think i have an average adult voice, but apparently not as it always comes of sounding like a child... argh!!!

Michelle- leave it up to a michigander to get shot by his cat, especially a yooper... :)

school has been kicking my ass this semester, but i guess that is what it is supposed to do right? Lot of other things going on, but the are all on the crap side... waiting for the "Last Call with Carson Daly" to come on in a half hour to watch The Frames! sometimes i really wish i had tivo :)

Hope everyone in Satchland is doing well and has a good weekend...

Steven Wilde Played with the multitracker a little today. Checked out the different effects. Pretty cool. I'll have to see if I can make my own settings for custom effects. First I'll try to make some songs (mainly the T2J song).

Good night everyone here in T2J Land! (Voice of Jimminy Cricket singing) "When you wish upon a 'Stary night'... "

Love your music man. precise tone, perfect delivery.

By the way, when you toured the palace theatre in columbus ohio, I bought one of your autographed posters, it sprinkled that night and I had a brief walk to my car on the way home. Turns out the rain -glued- it together. man.. I havent gotten that angry in a long time.

Hey guys :-) Well loads of posts behind, I've skimmed through a couple of times over the last few days but not posted so aoplogies if I've missed anything.

This year is just turning out to be weird, I haven't had a chance to settle yet and we are well on the way into the 3rd month................ new baby, waiting for job saving contracts, the company getting bought out and then yesterday our office director resigns............ wow, we never ever saw that coming. So at the same time as I start to feel that work is getting in the way of my home life, it looks like me and my buddy move up the ladder a step and get to take on more shit.............. bit of a double edged sword............. we have long been critics of our director, so now it's money where mouth is time.......... *sigh*............. to coin a phrase used by CivGeek, the golden handcuffs are getting tighter..... but hey, it could be worse................ not so much a moan, just more of an update for you.

Jazzy Before you ask dude, no I am not Amy Lee ! lol I've gotta say that you should be doing the interview with Joe man..................... those questions cracked me up. Back onto Bumblefoot ................... dude, get yo ass over to his site and buy the DVD................... that guy is hilarious.

Delfino Nice to see your rant on our 'Centres of Excellence' - lol. Just do your self a favour, when you get on your course, don't belief the shite that these places seem to fill their students heads with about the 'real world' Most of the grads that we have taken on think that they should have started on more money, deserve promotion straight away and that they are god's gift to the job. Sadly (and this is just in my experience) most of them can't organise themselves, think for themselves or spell / articulate themsleves effectively. Imho the crap that the unis and polys turn out these days justifies the fact that the students have to pay for it themsleves (or a large portion of it). It seems that 'spoon feeding' is the order of the day..................... i.e. if you write this down, we give you a degree. The volume of people that enter into tertiary (?) education these days, totally undermines the value of having a degree. My feeling is that the people who are graduating at the moment still view the importance of having a degree based on their parents values, and are disillusioned when it comes time to find a job. This isn't intended to offend you or any other students, it's just the way I've seen things go over the last few years. Good luck in your studies man, I hope that your experiences don't mirror those of the grads that I've worked with.

Michelle Nice to see your postive spin on one of the worst experiences that a family can endure. You're a little shining light as always.
I stopped to get gas tonight. $2.01 a gallon!! The guy at the pump next to me walked up to the pay booth and stated loudly "I feel like I'm in England!" so I beat him with a stick, called him a wanker, and took his wallet................... roflmfao.............. please do come and visit - lol, I know how you love that word - heh heh

Cube Nice detective work bro'..................... nobody pulls the wool over the eyes of the Cube !!!

962 Hope you're good man. I'm still waiting for my Guitar Wars DVD *bah*.................... 28 days is about up, time for a chase mail soon. Dude, I could have walked to Japan and bought my own by now !

Steven Enjoyed your lyrics bro'.... hope your date was cool and that the nagging subsided - ha ha ha. That made me laugh, putting your date on hold to post another message. Priorities, Stevie, priorities !!! :-)

Well a day off today and off to the hospital for the 12 week scan..........cool. Have a good day all. Stay Happy.

Namm Man, what an awesome experience! thanks for sharing, very interesting! I take it that was a platinum-tivket type deal or something? And that Zappa quote is hilarious!

The 1981-1991 Porsche 944. Like the 928, the 944 was a practical, comfortable yet high-performance sports car, only it was more affordable.

Again, with it's engine in the front, and carrying a 4 cylinder like the 924, it became the favorable way to get into the world of Porsche ownership. A great car in it's own right, modified 944 Turbos can often be found competing against 911 Carrera's and Ferrari 355's at club events.

edit:

VFR, sorry to hear about the no-show dude. Maybe they're having trouble finding stock? I know it was a limited edition, and a lot of diehard Nuno fans will have bagged a copy well before I did. Do give them a prod in the ass though!

I know these things can take ages (as will Lucy's Mourning Widows CD, I should think) - I had to wait 6 weeks for Population 1, but it was worth it!

Oh, and I passed my retest yesterday! I won't be making any long trips just yet, but some time within the next 6 months I should think I'll be coming up to see my sister, and I'd be happy to make a detour to pay you a visit!

962 Yeah, I know that it will be worth waiting for when it gets here. I've got a love of Porche's as well bro, but I've never really been a fan of the entry level models, THIS is what gets my spare £30k !! lol. I drove one back to back with a Testarosa. Man it is the wildest little go-kart I've ever been in but you could still see it as a daily use vehicle. The noise from the waste gate on the turbo was a-w-esome. The one I drove was a metallic blue, beautiful. I don't know whether it mentions it on the link but it's basiclly a V6 mondeo engine with two turbos strapped on. Clarkson loved it, I've read his write up somewhere.

VFR, please see my above edit - I edited just as you posted! haha. Also, yeah the Noble uses a Cosworth V6, 3 litre. I love turbos, I find turbocharged engines a lot more exciting than big, naturally aspirated ones.

Full specs and nice photos here

About 320BHP-per-tonne. I like it! I dunno what I'd do with a spare 30K - I'll hapilly admit I'd be very tempted by a Caterham R500 Lightweight, it'll hapilly outgun any other car and most bikes on the road, and it will always provide pure driving entertainment, even at tame speeds. I sat in one at the NEC motorshow and it was gourmet! A tight squeeze, definitely not for fat people, but an intimate driving envirnoment.

Clio Sport V6 is nice too! hehe

Hy my friends, is everyone ok? I hope so....

Steven Wilde – finally I found the time to read most of the posts and also of your idea about your music project, what a great idea, man! I think that would be an honour for everyone to help you with your project.....let´s see, perhaps I find the time to help you too and send some stuff, if you want to........ but be warned: I´m not as good as you, man.....
And some words to say about....
Joy is great, Joy is here, everyone stand and cheer. Shouldn´t that be: Joe is great, Joe is here, everyone stand up and cheer .... :-)) just kiddin´, sorry, couldn´t resist, please don´t be angry Steven, but I´m so happy today .... but that are great poems and lyrics..... keep on doin´ that, you´re a very good musician.....also read your interesting story about your musical influences.... and hey, you´ve tried a lot of things in those years.....more than I did.....Steve, I have to repeat estrela again: You are a very special person... :-) I´m happy you´re a member of this community!

NammMan – You lucky one, I would also like to meet Steve ......and to play EVO, wow, cool.... no words for that, but I hink I know how you were feelin´...... "That Steve Vai, what a nice little boy..... "

Zinc MasterI am really into music - listening and enjoying. Unfortunately, I do not have the gift of creating music. I will be the person in the audience, or backstage, but not on stage making the music.
I have played acoustic when I was young, and trumpet - but not good at either. I enjoyed it, but just wasn't for me.
I have picked up the old acoustic here and there, and have played a little with an electric here and there - I can make a lot of noise, but not much music.
-
Hey, perhaps you didn´t find "your" instrument, I believe in the fact you are a musician...... I´ve also tried different things, but I really started to be into music, when I experimented with arranging some sound clips and you will not believe it: wow, I´ve got a song! (also if it´s not quiet good).....and I´m shure you have the gift of creating music, I do believe in that...... there are a lot of musicians out there too who never want to go on stage or never had the change to do that and they are also successfull of what they are doin´, look at this community, some play gigs, others not, but most of them share their music with everyone who wants to listen to it.... and man, music is fun...... it´s a kind of try and error ......
Sometimes I think the same way you do, but then I stop a second asking myself: So what do you wan to do? and the answer is everytime: music... so I think this the whole thing that Joe tried to explain with the words : not to give up....
So don´t give up man, perhaps you have to find your style first.... and a bit of the rest is called discipline .....

estrela – sound like your energy source or your battery is empty..... hey, I try to send you my positive vibes.....
Have a great day you wonderful woman from Brazil, may your day be as beautiful as you wish it to be .......did it work? Ok, let´s try again: I wanted to e-mail you some chocolate cake, but my computer ate it itself, seems that one must have been very hungry :-))))............ did it work now?

BigBunny – Carpe diem! If you have the great chance to meet Joe ..... I´d like to say it with the words of Nike: JUST DO IT! *boing*boing*boing* ...hey stop, not now BigBunny, on the 22th...... ;-) Have fun! And please: If you can, send him greetings from all his fans of the T2J community!

Ok it´s Friday again, what does that mean ......... WEEKEND !!!!! what a silly question .... =-P
Ok guys, have a wonderful weekend everyone .......... don´t stop the rocking T2J´ers ....... tune ;-)
