roo, thanks for sharing your story. It really made my day ;)

I love reading everyone stories about seeing Joe and the band. Gives ya that warm, fuzzy feeling, doesn't it. lol!

Shooter McGavin, how does one "become" an Irish? Change their name to McGavin? lmao! You can hang with us Mc's for a while if you want.

Alexandre, I looked at the Blister pictures and had to smile a bit. In the second picture (picture of the singer) there is a big broken foot in the bottom left-hand side. Poor Gonçalo, I wish him a speedy recovery. Sorry to hear about your tooth. I had one pulled right before Christmas. Ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon. No rain in 6 months. Wow, that makes it very dry.

SOTD for Portugal, I Like The Rain

JoeSux, your story is amusing. You take a suitcase of Joe's merchandise and think he should sign every piece. Maybe if you would have been like everyone else and only brought your 2 or 3 favorite things to get signed, you might not have looked so GREEDY and would have gone right past security. If Joe signed every piece of every fans memorabelia, he'd still be on the Cyrstal Planet Tour and would have never made it to Australia!! Think about it!

BigBunny, if you take the painting, maybe you can write a letter to explain it and secure it to the painting. Tell Joe there is a letter of explanation with it, and that he can read about it later. Get your guitar signed and get the photos - maybe with the painting held up in front of you both :) Hope this helps.

Stevee, I love your singing voice. lol!

Good Morning Satchland. How is everyone? I'm a comcast subscriber and checked out Music Choice and couldn't find anything with Joe's interview. Does anybody have any info on this: Dates? Time?

Spizazz- Thanks again for the use of your pics on my site. I emailed Spizazz for his permission to use the pics and it turns out we grew up in the same town. I think thats really cool. Spizazz took some great photos of Joe at the Oct.2004 HOB show in Chicago. We were both at the show but didn't know or contact each other untill now. Thats what makes this site so great. Webmaster Jon has them posted at the fan photos link. Check them out.

Check out my new site. My son Sean created it for me. Sean also has The Surfing With The Alien mural he did for me posted on the fan art link. Thanks again for posting Webmaster Jon.

Visit me @ http://www.thebluesmavericks.com Let me know what you think. Sign the guest book or email me from the contact page.

Steven Wilde- How are you feelin' today? Hope all is well.

Michelle- I still love and always will love your humor and stories. Please keep them coming. They brighten my day.

Estrela- Good morning- Hope all is well with you.

Keniko, thank you for your kind words. They really mean a lot ot me :)

Cuth, nope, 'twas Iron Butterfly's version. The only one I know. I don't think I'd be able to play along with the cd just yet. lmao! It took me a good 5 tries just to get the riff down that was in my head, yet try it at real speed. lol! I haven't mastered a drum roll yet either, but I'll give ya what I got - the slower quaalude version with a nice symbol crash at the end. How 'zat? lol! As for the 6 posts taking till Tuesday - HA! Not the way you keep arguing about those damn passes! ;-)

Now everybody - drop it like it's hot!

Why do you think we are arguing about passes. I have enjoyed the integellent banter regarding the giving or selling of the passes. Everyone has expressed their opinion in a respectful, insightful way. Just because the thread had some meat to it and it wasen't the completely usless rambling that most posts are here, you misinterpret it as arguing?

The discussion is rewarding and appreciated, and I for one will drop it when I am ready mom.

michelle - thanx for your reply - yes, i have a letter typed out with info. about the painting & photos of the painting in progress :) the painting is only on A2 size Art Paper, so i am going to roll it up & put it in a postage tube to protect it. I have also written a message on the postage tube, it says contents: 1 painting - for Joe Satriani :) from Leanne (BigBunny on T2J)

i guess i just want to see his reaction to the painting - maybe i should just hand him the tube & he can look at it later? :)

BigBunny... . .. ... only 4 days to go!

to the guy who said that crap about Joe - you are rude man. saying that kinda stuff about kangaroos & sh*t, man that is low! the majority of us aussies are just stoked that Joe is doing these Meet & Greets because there's not many people getting picked for the aftershow passes.

i've seen some posts about selling aftershow passes - i think if you've gotten the pass for free, then you should give it away for free. but if you've bought it like that Platinum thingy - then you deserve to get money for it.

i can honestly say that if i got an aftershow pass & i think you get 2? i'd use one & if my brother wasn't going to the gig i'd give the other to another fan.

but that's just me :)

cuth - ... lmao... well... you know me.... I just couldn't resist it.. lmao..

all y'all - I propse a little "eye opener" of an experiment...

now I'm not famous or anything like that as you all know... but I have had to do after-show meet and greet stuff with the David Cross band....
not even close to the same scale as the likes of Satch and Vai, but none the less.. I have done this stuff...

grab a piece of paper and a marker pen....

write a little message like "to xxx, keep rockin' bro!!!" and then sign your own name......
typical autograph stuff....

repeat this around 200 times.... [which is a guess typical for a days pre and post gig signing activities]
after a while it's not so much fun...
however, you know that you owe everything to your fans and you care for them every bit as much as they care for you...

now imagine you're on tour... signing you name that many times every day for 6 months.....

JoeSux - bro... think on this..... there is only so much time available for a signing session....
what would you prefer... ??????????
1 - Satch signs 1 thing for 200 fans
or
2 - Satch signs 10 things for 20 fans

namm - so is now a bad time to mention the daimond pass were Satch takes you out on the piss topped off with a curry after the gig??
Michelle - I've had many challenging and fulfilling conversations armed with a big stick in a pub car park at chucking out time...

challenging and fulfilling conversation is not the only means of meaningful and intellectual interaction

doing a good explaining on someone can be fun and highly rewarding too...

maybe i shouldn't take my acoustic guitar then? it might just be one more thing to carry around & bother Joe with?

Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea - one called Justin and the other called Christian.

The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area. Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm fed up with being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten."

A large mysterious cod appeared and said, "Your wish is granted", and lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark. Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.

Time passed (as it invariably does) and Justin found life as a shark boring and lonely. All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realise that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight.

While swimming alone one day he saw the mysterious cod again and he thought perhaps the mysterious fish could change him back into a prawn. He approached the cod and begged to be changed back, and, lo and behold, he found himself turned back into a prawn. With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes Justin swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail. (The punch line does not involve a prawn cocktail - it's much worse). Looking around the gathering at the reef he realised he couldn't see his old pal. "Where's Christian?" he asked. "He's at home, still distraught that his best friend changed sides to the enemy and became a shark", came the reply. Eager to put things right again and end the mutual pain and torture, he set off to Christian's abode. As he opened the coral gate memories came flooding back.He banged on the door and shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend, come out and see me again." Christian replied, "No way man, you'll eat me. Youre now a shark, the enemy, and I'll not be tricked into being your dinner." Justin cried back "No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed."................

"I've found Cod. I'm a prawn again Christian".

REDNECK CHALLENGE

I am sick and tired of hearing about how dumb people are in the south. I challenge any so-called smart Yankee to take this exam:

1. Calculate the smallest limb diameter on a persimmon tree that will support a 10 pound possum.

2. Which of these cars will rust out the quickest when placed on blocks in your front yard? (A) '65 Ford Fairlane (B) '69 Chevrolet Chevelle, or (C) '64 Pontiac GTO.

3. If your uncle builds a still that operates at a capacity of 20 gallons of shine produced per hour, how many car radiators are required to condense the product?

4. A woodcutter has a chainsaw that operates at 2700 RPM. The density of pine trees in the plot to be harvested is 470 per acre. The plot is 2.3 acres in size. The average tree diameter is 14 inches. How many Budweisers will be drunk before the trees are cut down?

5. If every old refrigerator in the state vented a charge of R-12 simultaneously, what would be the percentage decrease in the ozone layer?

6. A front porch is constructed of 2x8 pine on 24-inch centers with a field rock foundation. The span is 8 feet and the porch length is 16 feet The porch floor is 1-inch rough sawn pine. When the porch collapses, how many hound dogs will be killed?

7. A man owns a Tennessee house and 3.7 acres of land in a hollow with an average slope of 15%. The man has five children. Can each of his grown children place a mobile home on the man's land and still have enough property for their electric appliances to sit out front?

8. A 2-ton truck is overloaded and proceeding 900 yards down a steep slope on a secondary road at 45 MPH. The brakes fail. Given average traffic conditions on secondary roads, what is the probability that it will strike a vehicle with a muffler?

9. A coalmine operates a NFPA Class 1, Division 2 Hazardous Area. The mine employs 120 miners per shift. A gas warning is issued at the beginning of the 3rd shift. How many cartons of unfiltered Camels will be smoked during the shift?

10. At a reduction in the gene pool variability rate of 7.5% per generation, how long will it take a town that has been bypassed by the Interstate to breed a country-western singer?

I betcha thought that there test was gonna be an easy one, didn't ya? It's okay if'n ya didn't do all that well. Just goes to show ya... there's a whole heap of things that big city book-learning don't prepare ya for in this life.

An Irishman had been drinking at a pub all night. The bartender finally said that the bar was closing. So, the Irishman stood up to leave & fell flat on his face. He tried to stand one more time; same result. He figured he'll crawl outside and get some fresh air and maybe that will sober him up.

Once outside, he stood up and fell on his face again. So he decided to crawl the four blocks home. Again, he fell flat on his face. He crawled through the door and into his bedroom.

When he reached his bed he tried one more time to stand up. This time he managed to pull himself upright, but he quickly fell right into the bed and is sound asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. He was awakened the next morning to his wife standing over him, shouting, "SO YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING AGAIN!"

Putting on an innocent look, and intent on bluffing it out he said, "What makes you say that?"

"The pub just called; you left your wheelchair there again!
