hello, Joe Satriani

It's really an honor to sit here and write tis short message to you. I'm from Belgium, so if my english isn't so good I'm sorry. I really like your music, I listen to it every day and it touches me every single time. I play the saxophone, and I resently started play the guitar all because of you, so thank you.

greets, Sander Vanstaen

Suzie2000, WAY TO GO!! Congratulations on passing. Big sigh of relief for you!!!!

BigBunny, cats rule!!! I have 4 of my own, hope you enjoy the funny!

I've just spent some time sending out e-mails using my son's Yahoo account, so this time I think they are going through, to Estrela, Austin, Steven, Mark, Chris Powell and Matt.....satrianiaxeman is the account name (Well, he does LOVE and LIVE Joe after all!!) so hope the messages go through!!

Okay Flashlight, congrats on your 100th post!! I guess I'm slow, I try to post only when I THINK I have something to say, (the voices in my head tell me I do! LOL!!) but that doesn't mean I ACTUALLY have anything interesting or important to say.... Happy Easter to all!

Hey Satchland....

On a personal note....after our gig last night...I've decided that I'm retiring from playing out. People just don't appreciate how hard we work to make good music..It should'nt matter, but when you hardly get a single clap out of anyone, it's hard not to tell everybody off and just walk off the stage. I've been playing Top 40 crap since I was 16 and enough is enough...not to mention that my hearing is getting obviously worse every time I play. I know my bandmates are going to be disappointed but I've made up my mind. The bottom line is that people suck and they don't know a good band when they hear it....we are in an era of "one hit wonder" garbage...enjoy!!

Gee, I have A week or so to heal!

My medicine sometimes acts weird to me. And It caused me to lose balance.

And I fell, Right on My Head again, just like with the Seizure thing :-( Full Body weight.

I even heard crunching going on, But passed out, And awoe with really bad pain's. I can barely move my kneck, and My whole head feels strange.

One cant go see Joe, Like this :-( So I will be doing a lot of sleeping, and resting, I soppose....But Nothing broke, So thats Great new's, Say's it was crtlidge, and mucles that were being "heard" crunching.

My Face has a bunch of wound's, Now.Again. The black eye, and the other Pains were just getting better to, from that last episode.

But Hopefully, I will be in shape for Joe!!

Still a little time! :-)

Anyhow, Hope evryone's having A Great Weekend! and

Happy easter egg hunting, And celebration's To All! :-)

Joe - We Have Friends in Common - Small World!

My boyfriend and an aquaintance of yours - Gennaro Cannelora are best childhood friends and old 'jamming' partners. I have put my name on the list for after show passes - it is Mike's (boyfriend/Gennaro's buddy) 43rd birthday and I bought 4 tickets to your April 16th gig in Portland, OR. Mike and Gennaro (then known as Eddie) jammed together in East Bay in the late 70's and 80's - Mike is a Bass player - Gennaro is trying to get with Mike to book some Portland gigs for him. Mike has also played the waterfront blues and jammed with many of the well-known in Portland - Not a bio for any other reason than to let you know that our world is a small place and it would be wonderful if we could get to see you after the show!!

Looking forward to your response - Keep it up! Love the new stuff as well as all of the old - Thanks!!

Stevee T, haha, "the blue one's the sexiest".....I concur. I love the Strat and SA1260 to bits, but the GIO just looks so fly now. I've always wanted it to have gold hardware, and now it does and it's even hotter than I expected! I am amazed by how good it is sounding too. The neck/middle pickups are only Ibanez S1's, but they respond brilliantly to it being tuned C-C!

Hope you enjoyed your lesson!

Suzie, Congratulations!!!! My hat is off to you.....Grade 8 piano!!! Well you kick my ass! Have a great weekend :-)
Steven Wilde, howdy bro! Things are cool. Not too many ideas at the moment I guess, but I'm kinda busy exploring what my "new" guitars are sounding like. I mean, they're not new, but they're completely different. The DiMarzio's in the SA1260 are great....when I put them in I thought "hmm, this Cruiser Neck Pickup sounds quieter than I anticipated". Today I jacked the Cruiser and the Virtual Vintage middle pickups right up close to the strings and it is on FIRE baby YEEAAAAHH!!! I'm loving it.

And the GIO, now with all it's upgrades done, is also sounding great! have a look at photos of it here - http://community.webshots.com/album/121661929VRygwS/2. Click the "GSA600" thumbnails to view them bigger!

Dude, I'm really sorry to hear about your bad reaction to the meds. Take good care of yourself man, you won't be allowed to miss Joe!! Maybe strap a cushion to your head for the next few days, just in case it happens again?! take it easy bro :-)

SupaaDave I agree with you 100%, that's why I haven't played out in a long time, everyone just wants to hear popular crap, or if it's a bunch of kids they just want to hear punk or this nu metal garbage. If you play real music that takes talent, it's like you suck for some reason?!! Most people can't and don't appreciate instrumental stuff, even when most can't even play anything as good as it. And if you play older stuff, you have to have just the right crowd, which isn't easy anymore. The music world has been going WAY DOWN since probably the end of the 80's...with a few good bands or people coming up here and there. I really HATE this new crappy music of today, all the stupid rap garbage (hey, you can't spell 'crap' without 'rap'!!!) All the music around now is just terrible, tuning WAY down, playing wimpy little power chords with solos filled with nothing but whammy bar dives and stuff...very sad. It's really ashame, the people with true talent aren't really recognized, all the people that use music to sell out are known and "cool" to listen to? What kind of music do you play and what did you play at the gig? Hopefully, sometime soon, I can get a really good band going and bring REAL ROCK back and kick rap, punk, nu-metal, pop, and all the crap music of the world in the face!!! You're not the only who thinks, actually I should say 'knows' how the world is with music today...

Esterela- Thank's I am so Happy You Like it! You really make A bright ocassion, Even more brighter! I alway's Look forward to Your Lovley, Daymaking, post's and well wishes! And thank's!! And, I do belive You! About seeing Joe, Thank You for the encouragment You Are Such A blessing! :-)......................... .........BIG BAD MOON- Yeah, Thank's, The mixing is going ok, Threw a lot of stuff out. Hearing it back, and putting it up with other stuff, I heard. I redid, A Lot of Thing's! Thank's for asking! Hope Your doing well!..........................962- Simon, Wow! Dude, Thank's for the way cool Photo's! Very Impressive, Thank's for sharing! Yeah, ya' know all of My Guitar's, are all very not stock. I gotta' tell ya' after Xperiancing the "powersound's" All they wat to the "evolution's, and Emg-Hz's, and everything else, I found the sweetes tone, That sound's awesome through A "cheap" set-up, such as I have.

EmgHZ, in the bridge, and The hottest Seymour duncans in the kneck-That was it! No need for a 1000 pick=up's or All one of A "HOT" pick-up, but the flavor of the 2 Very sweet, indeed! Thank's again, Hope Your having a great Day! And thank's for the cool Suggestion! for My soft head! :-)............. ..................Supa'Dave, Guiatrmeister, Dito. It's a good thing You dont live here in the East Bay! "RAP CRAP" is all they play, And it is as Irratiting as anything! I understand exactly what your saying! Let me tell You from a wise sort- There are million's who LOVE to be insulted! And abused, and Laughed at! And those thing's sell! BIG!! look at the very stupid TV shows played around Peoples living rooms. Look at who's winnning Grammy, By the handfull-Literealy. It will keep growing to! "Darkness" Came out because they said almost word for word, what You said You would lke to do with Your band.

It dosen't end. The main quest is to Find Your audience. And embrace that. Which is hard to do, But Possible, Fibnding audiences that is.

Also, Alway's Love what You enjoy, once that stop's. Then The Musical magic drops out, and there is no reinforcment.

Maybe just take a break, A breather, Or even A Hitus. But Dont Lose The Heart of what You enjoy, Because a few folk's have different musical "tastes"

Hang in thre My freind, The Audieance s Listening!

Take care, God Bless,

And alway's never give up on Any dream!

Hi SatchPlanet!!!Just want to share my Zen moment...:

listening to :Voices of Xendra...

A Conversation of Waves

by Derek Lin

There was once a small wave who was unhappy. "I'm so miserable," it moaned. "The other waves are big and powerful, while I'm so little and weak. Why is life so unfair?" Another wave passing by heard the small wave and decided to stop by. "You only think so because you haven't seen your own 'original nature' clearly. You think you're a wave and you think you're suffering. In reality you are neither."

"What?" The small wave was surprised. "I'm not a wave? But it's obvious I'm a wave! I've got my crest, see? And there's my wake, little as it is. What do you mean I'm not a wave?"

"This thing you call 'wave' is merely a temporary form you assume for a short time. You're really just water! When you understand completely that this is your fundamental nature, you will no longer be confused about being a wave, and you will be free of your misery."

"If I'm water, what about you?"

"I'm water too. I'm temporarily assuming the form of a wave somewhat larger than you, but that doesn't change my fundamental essence - water! I'm you and you're me. We're part of a greater self."

PEACE...LOVE...KINDNESS...

suzie2000..i was sceptical at first when i heard petrucci's album would have no keyboards, but the samples have made me consider buying it. which is what they're designed to do. i need to hear 2 or 3 full tracks to decide really.

962..i got shed loads of spare time, it just the lack of people to teach thats the problem ;) but as the summer aproaches (we hope), the karting should get busier and therefore more money than the winter months.

master yoda..can you tell me if a change of seaons : crimson sunset is played on a 7 string or what? i want to play it, but i cant find any tab for it...
