Good afternoon ladies and gent-lemons, lots of posts, been reading them all throughout the last few days...finally up to date with time to post my thoughts.

Bahduh: the Indians won that game quicker than I thought! Only the weather can save NZs 2nd test.
Clarky: "radio rental" that's one I hadn't heard before, good one! You know about "Barry Crocker" don't you?
Michelle: "Micallef style" would mean as in the manner of Shaun Micallef, an Aussie TV "comedian". He starts talking about something serious, uses some clever play on words or alternate word meaning and slowly builds it up, all the while going further and further off topic, getting more passionate until he suddenly stops and thinks for a bit (realising he's gone on a huge tangent), before moving on to the next sketch or news item. Hilarious every time.

...and yes, I did do that last night on radio...during the weather. It was right after I mentioned the temperature for St Helens today (Tuesday) would be 18 degrees...something like this:

of course, that is the projected maximum temperature for St Helens, and not what the temperature will be all day. If it was 18 from midnight to midnight that would just be silly. It would be absolutely ridiculous and even unbearable. You wouldn't be able to sleep at all, and when you went outside in the middle of the day you'd think "what is going on? This is insane! It's still the same temperature that it was this morning when I woke up...at 3am, because I could hardly sleep from the stupid heat." No, it's just the maximum temparature for tomorrow, so at night it'll be cooler than that, and hopefully cool enough to get some good sleep. What on earth made you think it was the temperature for the whole day? Honestly what is the world coming to? Um, right. Forecast for Wednesday...

Ever play Trivial Pursuit? Try playing against your best friends. I'm trying to think "what was the name of Batman's sweetheart" while my friend is repeating the question every 5 seconds to put me off. I didn't get it. Vicki Vale (sp?) apparently. I got him back later by continually asking that same question when he was trying to think of an answer for something else.
Hope your Aussie trip's been great, Joe. Great pics! Thanks a lot. Please come back again! BEN

marimariSRV...SRV would have been some lesson..with all that feeling...yes...we'll talk... My JS2PRM should arrive sometime in April, maybe May...so I'd like to get some real good pics of it, (and me) for maybe the next album cover, or web shots... I'd like a real sexy location, or something cool...spring/summer would be best here for the largest variety of shots..I guess...

I think 9 days until I see Vai and meet him, the band, and hopefully Sardinas. I really need this concert to come quickly, I need something really good to happen fast...been in a pretty bad mood since yesterday and I can't get rid of it. Satch's slower stuff usually calms me down and relaxes me, but it isn't getting the job all the way done right now, I'm just hoping something really good happens sometime very soon, it sux being in a bad mood like for longer than a few minutes or whatever. This is the worst bad mood I've ever been in, off to listen to Satch for hours and hope it helps me out for good. Hate bothering others with my own problem or problems, so I'll shut up now and try to deal with this myself...if not, sux pretty bad for me... I'm out for today, maybe I'll be back tomorrow or the next day or something, not sure again. I have to vote for the contest, too bummed out to do it, I'll do it once I'm back and like usual, whenever that might be. C-ya all, hope everyone else is doing good, unlike me... :^(

benny, I played Trivial Persuit one time with one of my sisters in the group. I forget the question, but the answer was Neil Armstrong. Everyone was trying to give her hints, and everyone knew the answer but her. After a few long minutes someone said "What do you call a man with no legs but real strong arms?" We laughed for the next half hour. Game over.

TOALL: DO NOT ORDER BUSINESS CARDS FROM VISTAPRINT. If any of you self promoting musicians were thinking of getting business cards.....don't do what I did. I ordered "free" cards through vistaprint....the result is that an afiliate (crooks) company (probably owned by vistaprint) has been billing me on my credit card. My info might also be out to other affiliate fraud co. Long story short, I shredded that puppy and got a new account

Mari, thanks for the birthday wishes!! It's been a pretty good day so far, even though I had to work!! I sure wish you were going to make the So Cali shows, but definitely we'll have to hook up in San Fran next time....and with Austin, Boyd, Chron, anyone who gets there!! Enjoy the show in Vegas, I've heard any House of Blues is a fabulous, intimate place to see Joe!! And of course, I'm sure we'll get to see more awesome photos!!

michelle, just keep em coming, how can anyone be sad when you've got such great stories to share!! Man, your whole family is QUICK!! LOL!!

Stevee T, hmmmm, yeah, I'm 22 plus some, lol! Double that and add a couple few more and you'd have it!! But what counts is I'm young inside!! Oh, and tsk, tsk, tsk, so many campaign promises and you've already forgotten them...such a politician LOL!!! Should you win the day, we expect all promises to be kept immediately if not sooner!! Oh, and don't forget, YOU'RE GOING TO NEED AN ASSISTANT OR TWO TO HANDLE ALL THE LITTLE DETAILS....HINT HINT!! Actually, whoever wins should remember that Chris and I would make FINE assistants!! :) (PS, TRIPOD......oh geez, that's funny!)

Steven, okay, you had me in tears once again! You are such a sweet person!! Always caring about others....and yep, the day isn't over yet!! I just got back from dinner with my folks, and it was so nice, just the 3 of us for a change, so we could really talk to each other! They are so good to me, always. And what's this, you don't want to date anymore, but want to get married?? If you find out how to skip the dating part and get straight to the successful marriage part, you HAVE to write a "how-to" book...I'd buy it immediately, LOL!!

Silent_Shady, wicked guitars!! Where did you find those pictures? Very cool, I'll have to bookmark those to show my son when he gets back from spring break!

Guitarmiester, why so down? There's lots and lots of people here who care and make good listeners, if you want to share. Try not to be too sad....a little bit of blues can be a good thing, you can pour those feeling out into guitar or if you don't play, into listening to Joe. Sometimes sadness makes the good days that much sweeter. Put on the Forgotten Part 2 and crank it up really loud........a great cure for a bad mood! Take care, and have a great time with Vai!!

Stevee T, yes, details...you know, those "little" things that someone as big as you shouldn't have to deal with.. You'll need to focus on your journalistic skills for the interview, and you'll need Chris and I to carry stuff around for you like pencil or pen and paper, clipboard, glasses, bottled water, stuff for Joe to sign, all the concert swag you're going to win (we'll give it all back, I PROMISE :), etc....we'll need to stick very close by during the whole interview process and the aftershow (off camera of course!) to carry stuff, keep your time schedule straight, take pictures of you and Joe, etc!! Ya know, DETAILS!! You'll need 2 fine assistants!! And of course, if you're chosen "the Big Cheese" that gets to interview Joe, you'll naturally have demands for certain star treatment, including the need for these 2 personal assistants!! Okay??? Are we on the same page now? LOL!

Tracie: I found quite a lot of guitars online those are just two I still had the links too. I have a few hunder pics of guitars in my comp and about 150 are Steve Vais.

Btw take it easy on the whole assistant thing. we don't even know if Stevee is gonna win. hell you still might win. I'd love to see Stevee as your assistant (sorry dad, but I would)

New Zealanders are lucky that their weather is inclement for cricket otherwise they would have been all out for not-very-much. So it's still a 1-0 record...1 game to go.

So I was asked "which board game do you have "dagger" "candlestick" and "revolver" and I answered (just to be smart) "Trivial Pursuit" even though I knew the "real" correct answer was Cluedo...

Actually I believe I was asked the question "who was the first man to walk on the moon" (Neil Armstrong) the other night!

Daaarrgggh just noticed a typo (yes a typo, not a spelling mistake, because I know how to spell it, but temperature is a long word to type out and I got it right the other 3 or 4 times in the post...I'm not changing it...) in my earlier post. I found it beacuse I was admiring my handiwork, due to the fact that I love myself immensely and in fact I stare at my reflection in the mirror for hours on end every day and night. I also sing to myself out loud when I do this, and write romantic poetry in song in honour of my (supposed) gorgeousness. Pulling words out of my bottom, BEN

Steven, hiya honey :) I have no idea who Buzzy is. lol! I consider Gentle Giant music for the insane. lol! No offence to anyone who likes it. lol! It's so all over the place I can't follow it even a little bit. LOL! My husband doesn't listen to it often, but when he does I head for the hills. He loves it and knows every note, and he's always sure to say "Listen, here's the lick!" right before one of his "good parts" come on. lol! You could say I just don't get it. lol!

zinc, hope you don't mind, but I scrolled VERY fast past your maggot story. See, now i wrote the word maggot and I can't even stand to look at the screen!!! EEEK! euwww, euwww, euuuuwwwwwww!!

quote of the day - from the Extreme Makeover show - a woman who breastfed her children and wanted a boob job says "I used to be a double D, but now I'm a 36 long." LMMFAO HARD!!!!

Jazzy, how was the workshop with Nathan?

Delfino, broken tailbone, broken ass, busted nuts - he should be able to sing like Freddy Murcury now.

Clarky, that's the funniest thing I've read all year! Hell if I know what half of it means, but it's fun as hell trying to figure it out! lmao!!

Benny, nice play on the words Micallef style, but that's how I usually talk. Is that funny?? lmao!

Stevee, you can only call him tripod if his kickstand works ;-)

Tracie, sometimes if I didn't have my sense of humor, I'd have nothing at all. lol! Today my daughter and I went to an appointment. As we sat down in the waiting room, we realised that there was a woman sleeping in her chair like she was reading and just fell out. My daughter looks at me with a funny look on her face and says "Mom, I think that lady is sleeping?" Next thing ya know, we're both whispering lines from What's Eating Gilbert Grape when Mama dies. I looked at my daughter and said "She's dead Gilbert! Mama's dead!", and my daughter looked back at me and said "Mama wake uuuuUUUUUuuuup!" We were rolling! I'm constantly calling my daughter Gilbert and saying things that Arnie would say. It's one of our favortie movies of all time. DiCaprio was brilliant in that movie! That poor woman in the office was so tired that when her name was finally called I think she had forgotten where she was and was startled a bit. Check out the sound wavs.

http://members.aol.com/GlimmrGrrl/frameset.html

Benny, that must have been the same question. lmao!!!

zonin, I saw the school shootings on the news. I can't believe it happened again. This kid also killed his grandparents, as well as himself. I can't believe it happened again. What is this effin' world coming to??? What a nightmare.

Michelle - We are not so much opposite as much as I have more intensity in my music. We bothlisten to the same stuff ,classical, jazz, country, alternative rock. But there is where Michelle stops and I continue on to the harder stuff. She's not too keen on the instrumental guitar stuff but tolerates for short time periods. How did it work out that you are the hardcore part of the pair? Normally it's the guy. (to be a sexist pig)

Zinc - It's nice to see that John Williams is doing the music. I really think he is the Beethoven of our time. The guy just does not write bad stuff. It is all amazing.

Hickbert Happy anniversary. I just had my 10yr in Dec. Good luck with the house also.

Defino - My yambag hurts now. Thanks!!!

Cheese - Happy B-Day!!!

Clarky - n the boozer the other night pissin' it up with the firm down me own manner.. Are you sure we speak the same language. Holy crap, I have no idea what the f'k you said!!!LOL!!

Have a good night.
