In 5 pages of posts, Delfino's and Suzie's posts were the only ones that made 100% sense to me......it's manic on here this evening!

Delfino, I agree dude, and it really pisses me off how irresponsible the media are. I remember the whole trench-coat-mafia thing.....it was all bullshit, they were no cult, or gang or anything sinister....they were wearing trenchcoats cause it was pissing with rain for weeks at a time.

And what's this bollocks about "the kid always wore black"? What are we not allowed to wear black now? We can't wear f*ck*n white....the press will just accuse us of being members of the KKK! ARRRGGGHHH!

Suzie, good to hear you're enjoying your new amp! I just got my guitars all fixed up. I've finished the GIO, the one I put the fixed bridge on and set up for C-C tuning. It sounds awesome, I'd love to hear it on the JSX heavy Lead channel!!

HEY JOE... Remember when you came out the stage door at the Forum in Melbourne? Both times there was a guy just standing there applauding you while everyone else just swooped in for an autograph. That was me.

Seeing you live (especially twice) was a dream come true. Your technique is impeccable, of course. But what really strikes me is what a generous entertainer you are - you just get up there and give and give and give, and do whatever it takes to please the fans.

I was so proud to be an aussie fan on the Friday 18th show, when we started up that deafening 'Joe! Joe! Joe!' chant just two songs in... But I cringed when that tool came up on stage at the end of the Saturday 19th show and wrecked your bow. Sorry about that.

Remember how I got you to sign that interview I did with you last year? Well, one thing I didn't mention is that it was the front page story in a national music magazine - a real boon for my fledgling music journalism career. And some of the thanks for that goes to you - Thanks Joe.

After that story was published, I got a call from Sony asking me if I wanted to interview you in person when you toured, and naturally I almost jumped down the phone with enthusiasm! But then they never called back... Man that sucked.

AUSSIEDAVE and ROO - Actually I interviewed Tommy Emmanuel a few months ago and apparently he is pretty chummy with Joe and Steve. (being on Steve's label helps) If they had him as a guest on an Aussie G3 they would be right on the money... I don't know he's go with the jam session though, his specialty being acoustic and all. Whaddaya reckon Joe - Tommy Emmanuel for G3?

Bahduh, alexandrecaetano, civgeek and LucySorets, thanks very much for the birthday wishes! I had a very nice day Monday, dinner with my folks, and last night my friends took me out for a good time too!! Birthdays can be loverly! And it's nice to meet you Alexandre and Lucy!!!

Mark, Matt and Steven, I really truly am trying to send you e-mails but for some dumb reason they aren't going through, and I'm too computer illiterate to understand what the problem is...it's not just you either, lots of my messages don't get through to lots of my friends.......don't know what to do..sigh. Matt, I was letting you know that I have 2 extra tickets to see Joe in Portland on April 16th, as I bought the general admission as soon as they went on sale, then later saw the premium packages and couldn't stop myself...bought the gold tickets!! Sheesh! So if you can't still get tickets, I have the two GA tics if you're interested!! And hugs to Mark and Steven, you guys are great!!

Stevee T, prayers for your girlfriend and her mom, it's one of the cruelest diseases out there...I see it all the time. Hugs.

Cold, cloudy, windy and SNOWY here.........think I'll go snuggle down with my afghan and kitties for awhile and enjoy the peace and quiet!

Oh, and my son's Line 6 POD pedal came in today, FINALLY!! And he's away with his dad, so shall have to wait till he gets home and can fiddle around with it to see how it is...it's huge!

Good evening to all, and.......

HEY JOE!!! Awesome reviews from down under, they love ya there like we do here! Welcome home!! Lookin forward to the shows in April!! You're the best! Any funny Aussie stories you want to share? :)

Suzie2000 Awesome that you got the JSX head, I've been wanting to get one since I've known about it, maybe I'll get it sometime soon. When I went to get it last month at the music store right by my house, it was there the week before when I tried it out, went to get it...gone, didn't expect anyone to buy it, everyone around here doesn't know good tone, they usually buy all the cheap guitars, cheap amps, and crappy pedals, couldn't believe it was gone! Kind of like how Vai's signature Jem had been hanging on the wall for a few years, going to see Vai next week (Yeah! can't wait) Last week I went to go and get it, or it was earlier this week...gone!!! WTF!?! The guitar had been in the store for years, nobody would touch it or ever buy it, and it was gone when I went for it, also was there a week before when I went to pick up a few packs of strings. Guess I'm not lucky at all? Probably one sick amp to be rockin' out with, what cab do you have with it, did you say just using your Marshall, or did you get a Peavey cab too?

-Who got the newest Guitar One magazine yet? The one that has the 200 best CD's or whatever... I already mentioned this, but didn't really look close enough at it until today. I was looking to see if they have a Satch CD in there, going through the categories, and they have Satch's Surfin' with the Alien as the 3rd best "SHRED" album??? Shred!!! F'n morons!!! Above him at #2 is Vai's Passion and Warfare, Vai's not really shred, he is, but there IS an instrumental category, they didn't put Vai or Satch in it though, they put them both in shred!?! They have Malmsteen's Rising Force as the #1 shred CD and say that his album inspired each of the guitarists below (meaning the other CD's they have in the shred category) to come up with their CD. I'm pretty sure Satch isn't in the shred category and Surfin with the Alien was NOT inspired by Malmsteen at all!!! Malmsteen did inspire tons of metal guitarists to go practice their sweep picking and soloing a lot more, but the editors at G1 are complete idiots!!! The same ones that put Satch as #6 in the top 10 worst tones ever... complete morons! You'd think guitar magazine=they know what they are talking about, but they don't! There's plenty of other idiotic things they have in all of their mags., but when they are this wrong, get's me pretty mad, especially putting Satch in the Shred category and saying it was inspired by Malmsteen's Rising Force. They even have an instrumental category, they could have put Satch's Surfin' in there, and even Vai's Passion and Warfare (I do consider Vai a shredder, not enough to be thrown into a shred category, because he's mainly instrumental on most of his CD's, with singing on a few songs, if any.). Someone else had to have seen this list also, I have to say the list is more of popular bands and people, and then a few that they threw in and have no clue on and just rambled off words for the CD. The list isn't too bad, but they just don't think things through enough.

Joe: I wonder if you're interested (or even have the time) to play a gig at my school? We need to spaz up the school's annual Vortex show-- a night dedicated to rock music, with various rock bands playing. It'll be wonderful to have you here! Thank you.

Stevee T, you're welcome, I really feel for you both. With Alzheimer's, I have observed that, in the beginning, when a person knows their diagnosis and what it will mean to them, they are so scared of what is to come. It's very hard news to take in, a gut-wrenching diagnosis for all involved. But I always hold out this hope that, for the person with Alzheimer's, eventually they get past the fearful stage where they no longer understand what they are losing or have lost, and instead are now in this lovely fantasy world of their own making where they can be free and happy. That's my hope, even while I know the family and friends are still going through the agony of this slow goodbye. I hope your girlfriends' mother is deep into a rich fantasy world where she is a young girl again, jumping and playing, and not afraid of anything, where she can just go to sleep and wake up whole and healthy in a better place. I feel so deeply for your lady, but hope maybe she can be just a little comforted with these little thoughts of mine. God holds her and her mom in his arms every minute of every day.

Hey Chris Patton (Bbender) thanks very much for your kind e-mail. I sent you a reply, but with the way my e-mail is NOT working, you probably won't get it, so wanted to say thanks from here too! What you said means a lot!!!

And Steven Wilde, sweetie peach, I got your e-mail and will try to answer it right now, but just in case.........you are a doll! And I'm just as happy to have you in my life as a friend too! You keep taking care of yourself Wilde man!!

Stevee: do you mean "crock" as in garbage or "croc" as in crocodile?

Hi Gain: good to see you here again, I bet you enjoyed the shows! Right on about Tommy Emmanuel. They were my thoughts too. It would be awesome though, he could whip out an electric for the jam. I think he's still living in London though. BTW, that has got to be the slowest double-post ever...
