Supreme Court Rejects Terri Schiavo Case

(AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court turned down Terri Schiavo's parents Thursday, declining to intervene to keep the brain-damaged woman alive, but their supporters pressed a last-ditch effort in Florida courts. Justices didn't explain their decision, which was received by somber supporters outside the woman's hospice with bowed heads and prayers for help from Gov. Jeb Bush. "The governor is disappointed (at the Supreme Court decision) and will continue to do whatever he can within the law to save Terri's life," Bush spokesman Jacob DiPietre said.

You Want Fingers with That?

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A diner at a Wendy's fast food restaurant in San Jose, California, found a human finger in a bowl of chili prepared by the chain, local officials said on Wednesday.

"This individual apparently did take a spoonful, did have a finger in their mouth and then, you know, spit it out and recognized it," said Ben Gale, director of the department of environmental health for Santa Clara County. "Then they had some kind of emotional reaction and vomited."

Local officials launched an investigation after the incident on Tuesday night and the medical examiner determined on Wednesday that the object was a human finger.

Officials are trying to determine if the finger came in the raw materials Wendy's used to prepare the chili, Gale said.

Wendy's International Inc. corporate office did not immediately return a call for comment. Wendy's is the third-largest hamburger chain.

Driving Instructor Gives Lesson in Road Rage

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (Reuters) - A Dutch driving instructor hit a knife-wielding fellow motorist with a baseball bat during a fight over his student's skills, police said Wednesday.

"Words were exchanged between the instructor and the man who pulled a knife and then the other hit him with a baseball bat," a police spokeswoman said.

The 27-year-old driving instructor and a 51-year-old man with a head injury and a mild concussion were arrested and must appear in court.

MARI - "Ronnie aka Slanshroom's lawyer!" I'm not sure I like that!! lol I see myself more of his guidedog. Not sure if its too many shrooms or something Tura does to him, but he needs a wee bit of guidance here and there. And I am happy to help as I can. And yea - Roy's joke about me owning him is that I bought his domain name and told him later hehehehehe

Looking forward to seeing you too Mari. If I can swing you the extra ticket in the presale area I'll let u know by tomorrow. I was so happy u told me Sardinas is not in the second show. Maybe Steve will play more and I wont have to subject myself to utter drivel.

Did you like my Nevada pics on SLANSHROOM'S WEBSITE ? The site isn't finished yet. I built it myself but am going to Thailand in 8 days and will get a programmer there to make it nicer - i hope.

Since Widowmaker's Highway stems from Roy's views on Area 51, it seemed fitting to fly to Vegas a couple of weeks ago and go snap happy. 74 degrees when I was there - snowing in NY yesterday! When will it end.

Bye for now. Hello to everyone else.

Ronnie

bahduh - I don't know how you can get Satch concert tickets in India. I would suggest trying to call the venues...

Flashlight - I have DT's Live At Budokan...is that the album you're asking about?

Joe shaved his head because he was starting to lose his hair.

Zinc Master - Do you like Aerosmith's Honkin' On Bobo? Joe Perry's new album should be very similar to that.

""This individual apparently did take a spoonful, did have a finger in their mouth and then, you know, spit it out and recognized it,""

I find that very hard to believe. I don't think a finger would even fit on those plastic spoons they give you at Wendy's...so how could it be eaten accidentally? And I guess it was covered in enough chili to be unnoticeable until it was eaten? I don't know.

cuthbert1776 - Hmmm...you seem to know a little too much about Wendy's chili-making procedures. ;-) Are you missing any fingers?

...Austin...

WENDY'S CHILI

I think a board of inquiry should check out cuthbert1776's figures - since he knows so much about the chili preparation. Remember, you always return to the scene of the crime.

Do The Stu - it wasn't real clear how big the finger was - could have been just a part of the finger. Plus, I have "shoveled" food into my mouth before - not quite seeing what was going in - wonder what I could have swallowed.

Do the Stu

The latest Aerosmith was ok - not a huge fan. I would like to listen to the blurbs from the Joe Perry cd on iTunes before deciding whether to buy the cd or individual tracks from iTunes.
