Delfino, nice duck. Do me a favor...get whatshisname good and liquored up, and when he falls asleep, take them damn braids out of his hair!! He juss ain't got it goin' on like dat. lol! He's a good lookin' kid, but the braids make me make faces. lol! I bet there'd be a lot more birds in those pictures too. lol!

Stace, my cats have your cats beat. Stew opens the door by himself, and lets himself and Mo Cow out for a stroll in the yard. It's a sliding screen door, and the little bugger just puts his nails in the screen and pulls. My husband had to temporarily rig it so he can't pull it open, but we're going to need something better than a hook & rubberband - and a squirt bottle. lmao! We literally had to change the door knob on the powder room after we got Stew. It had one of those nice long handles, you know, the horizontal swervey kind. Stew would stand on his hind legs and pull the handle down with his front paws and open the door to get in. If he was inside the powder room, he would stand on the sink and stand on the handle until it opened the door. Not good when we have visitors. lol! Mission Impossible my ass! Hide the car keys man! lol!!

Zinc, wanna see the nice new lake I just put in my back yard ;-)

VFR, sounds like a wonderful vacation!! So glad you had time with the family - so important! Such a precious time too. Hope you took many pictures.

SupaaDave, soundproof headphones - on the Godsmack Changes DVD I have, they got headphones for their kids from a gun range (shooting range) ~ err, something like that. Might wanna look there? Give a call and see if they have anything like that. It was either Sully Erna or Shannon Larkin talking about it. I did see Sully's daughter on the side of the stage with big cans on her head when they played here, so they must work. It's a fantastic DVD too! lol!

Suzie, "it fell... the neck snapped.... anyway it looks fixable, what would anyone's advice be?" My advice, the guy need a good swift kick in the ASS for treating his new guitar so poorly!! If you can afford a guitar, you can afford a stand or case!! Bad guitar owner, baaaad! lol!

Finally got my Crystal Planet cd back from my husband's van and put it in my car. My husband never lets me play it loud when he's driving, but when I'M driving by myself - shit man yeah!! I crank it!! Psycho Monkey and Time are the first songs I skipped to. Psycho Monkey makes me wanna get wild and nekked. lmao! Does it have that effect on anyone else?? lol! Um...no? Ha Ha! Uhhh, nevermind....

What a fantastic cd Crystal Planet is!!

OMFG!! Big & Rich are on The Tonight Show. You gotta be kiddin' me! These guys actually make money?? What a joke!! People pay money for that crap?? Get the f* outta town man!! That's the lamest thing I've seen since...since...since the last lamest thingI saw!! lol!

OH, another song for the HOME titles -

Mama, I'm coming Home (Ozzy)

I Ain't Comin' Home- Silvertide
Homecoming- Green Day (not that I listen to that crap...no offense)
Hmmm. Does "House of Doom" by Black Label Society count? OK that is cheating...

I was going to post something a number of hours ago, but I forgot to actually post the message before I closed everything and left...can't remember what it was about.

other "home" songs I can think of:
Sevendust - Home (from the album "Home")
Tommy Emmanuel - When You Come Home
Andrew Ironside - Coming Home To You
Phil Collins - Take Me Home
Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home
12 Stones - Home
The Beatles - She's Leaving Home
Hootie & The Blowfish - I'm Going Home
Pax217 - No Place Like Home
Switchfoot - Home

or how about this one? "If you don't come home soon I'm going to come down to the office and shove that computer so far up your plughole that instead of doing 1s and 2s in the toilet they'll be 1s and 0s" by Wife & The Kids

MICHELLE > Yeah I agree with you ... Psycho Monkey is one of the tracks that makes me get wild and wicked .. and Crystal Planet get me high on music all the time ... no matter how many times I crank up the complete album ... I never am content ... I keep coming back for more and more.

One more track of Joe "Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness" is one track that make me so cool and composed ... I really dont know why Joe never plays this track in any of his gigs.

Song of the Day > RELEASE: THE TEA PARTY.

Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina Reunite

During the first half of the 1970s, Loggins & Messina were a constant presence on FM radio. With hits such as "Your Mama Don't Dance," "House at Pooh Corner" and "Danny's Song," the duo epitomized Southern California's soft-rock sound and paved the way for future mellow hit makers from Richard Marx to Kenny Chesney.

Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina parted ways in 1976, and both forged solo careers — Loggins scored mega-hits such as "Whenever I Call You Friend" and "I'm Alright" (from the film "Caddyshack"), while Messina reunited with Poco, the seminal country-rock band he helped form in the late '60s.

Recently, Loggins & Messina have reunited for a forthcoming tour and a greatest hits album. Titled "Sittin' In Again" (after the duo's 1972 debut, "Sittin' In"), the new project has provided an opportunity for the pair to renew their artistic and personal relationships.

"In the long run it was the friendship that brought us back together," says Loggins. "The reunion coincided with a divorce that I'd been going through. Jimmy reached out to me as a friend and as someone who had been through a similar situation. The reunion is something to put my attention into that's more lighthearted than the solo record I know I'll eventually have to make."

Lightheartedness is front and center when the pair talks about their upcoming tour, which will feature their classic hits as well as some solo material.

"When we first started this project we were thinking we should do an album of new original material, but then we decided to grab the old arrangements and just have some fun," Messina says. "If we get inspired, we'll have plenty of time on the bus to write a new tune, but this is about us getting reacquainted and playing our music that we've created in the past."

After thirty years, little has changed musically for Loggins & Messina, but maturity has brought fresh attitude to the pair, who were barely out of their teens before becoming superstars.

"We were 21 when we started," recalls Loggins, "and there are hazards to ascending to stardom that quickly — it's got to effect your ego. By the end we were getting too enmeshed; we needed a break."

"Kenny still likes to kick me in the butt," continues Messina, "but we're adults now, and we're able to help each other a lot more. We've learned how to work so that we don't step on each other's toes — so far, at least, I've only lost one little toe."

DCK: That must be nuts man! The band I put together now is improv, but for the majority of the songs, we either have a definite structure (and the number of bars per verse/chorus/bridge etc) or we have basic A and B chord structures that we jamm over. We have maybe one loose version of a blues jamm tune, and a version of Caravan that kinda gets progish and evil haha! I couldn't imagine going nearly completely blind playing live. I mean, it would be no problem if it was just me looping chords and playing over it on the seat of my pants, but communication between bandmates when you're playing spread out on a stage playing at high volume is difficult. More power to you man!
