People In't UK

Lock stock and two smoking barrels is going to start on Channel 4 in 15 minutes, plenty of time to nip to the local off-license pick up a 12-pack, some salted popcorn and a scratch card.

music4me5150......what is your opinion of the 535 Q ? Is it worth the few extra bucks it costs? Do the sweep settings really vary quite a bit or are they so close you can barely tell one from another? I'll be shopping for a new wah very shortly...I bought a Vox wah a few years back and it's starting to make unwanted noises (input jack is scratchy)...plus it sucks a 9 volt dry in a matter of days and does'nt have any other power source options.

To everyone......"Tornado Alley" will be at the Crossroads Bar tonight....com'on out and check us out !! That is of course..if you happen to be in northern Minnesota tonight ;)

Tonight I get to break in my brand new Fender Twin Reverb....booyaa !!!!

We both suffer from depression and other related issues and we take in your music like a dose of medicine and it really helps. I got turned on to you by mistake a very fortunat mistake at that. I just want to thank you and hope you keep on making inspiring music for years to come.

heylo whats going on in T2J today.

Im just sitting around playing my 12 string acoustic, or trying too rather, the action is super high and a pain in the wang to play decently. hehe just working on Wish You Were Here by Floyd right now and listening to one of my fav newly discovered bands, Muse and their album Absolution which is great.

Does anyone else feel that the song "Octavarium" seems like it's only 5 minutes long? I actually had to look at the clock afterwards to assure myself that 24 minutes had indeed passed. I don't know why.

I learned some cool things about Octavarium (the album):
1. The first song is in the key of F, the second is in G, the third in A, etc. Overall, the songs go in an octave, F to F. Get it? Octave/Octavarium?

2. All over the booklet, 5:8 is hidden. For instance, the domino blocks on the "Answer Lies Within" page are 5 and 8. The 8-legged spider is in an 8-sided octagon maze with 5 levels. The octopus has 8 legs and there are 5 fish swimming by the octagonal stop sign. In the octavarium, the star has 5 points and the octagon has 8 sides, and near the bottom it says "Scale 5:8" This is because the are 5 black keys and 8 white keys in an octave on a piano (I hope you understand the point). On the back, each song name is written on a different piano key, again representing an octave. Finally, there are 8 swinging balls and 5 birds, one between each one, which again represents the octave on the piano.

3. At the beginning of I Walk Beside You and Never Enough there is 45 seconds of so-called "Lounge Music" On IWBY there is a heatbeat, keyboard, and a ticking clock. On Never Enough, it is some synth playing. You can only hear these hidden intros if you listen to the song before that and let them run together. If you go to the song using the "Next" or "Previous" buttons on your CD player you won't be able to hear these intros.

(Not so special) 4. The Root of All Evil is the third part of the series of songs dealing with the 12 steps for recovering alcoholics. The Glass Prison dealt with steps 1-3, This Dying Soul covered 4 and 5, and TROAE talks about 6 and 7. If you listen you can hear many many references in these songs to each other, lyrically and musically.

There! I'm done! Hope this post isn't too long.

Dr5150 you could check out Forgotten Part 1 and Headless (and Horseman)
munio if you have an audio editor for your computer, just reverse the polarity of one channel of a stereo audio file to get the same effect.
Looks like I'm gonna get that job.... and join a family, so to speak... decent money and potentially long hours... but it's all worth it I guess! Hope you're all having / have had a bien Samstag and have an equally bene Sonntag... how's that for a little Europeanism? lol

Later all, Dave

EDIT: And please try to edit your posts rather than make new ones! thx
EDIT2:

The world's wealthiest countries agreed on Saturday to write off more than $40 billion (22 billion pounds) of impoverished nations' debts in a drive to free Africa from hunger and disease.

Cool.

SupaaDave- I use the original Crybaby also. I know what sound I get out of that. The 535Q is worth the extra $. There is a lot to play with. Low Q almost sounds like a volume pedal. Very little wah. High Q you get a crazy wah sound. In my song "Welcome Home" I used the 535Q with the setting in the middle. It's a really cool pedal.

TOALL: My band did our second gig today....just a small thing in a Library for free. It was great though! We blended really well (no PA btw). We had the room filled (small room seated 25 maybe, but filled none the less) and we even had some woman walk in and call someone on her cell so she could hold it up and let them listen. haha! I think this will go places. We even had kids asking where we would be playing next, and if we had cd's available. We taped the show via DVcam for a good press pack. It came out well

SlickPotatoHead! How are you? So i think it is good that you are have time to play, so all my free time takes music as my busy time too lol. So i am playing somwhere between 8-10 hours a day, and learning some thing (gramma and new scales) at night! Sometime i am watching concerts, and i have just a few hours to go to walk my dog. So as you see i have a lot of time, becouse i have no friends to hang around, i simply have no time for this! So what do you like more in music?

Slansh Now I never said anything about evil - lol I know exactly what you are saying though.......... the percentage gradually lowers as we get older, once upon a time I didn't like that side of myself, now I'm secretly proud of it -lol. Long Live the 0.1% !!! It can be quite an asset when we need it. Quite a lot of work on that guitar then bro'.......... great job with the hack saw, love the shape. Who are you thinking of getting to build your custom?

Cube Ha ha ha........ roflmfao (screaming I knew it! I knew it!) ;-)

Dave Congrats man! :-) So what'sthe new job then ? I checked out your site, was SIE the WIP that you mentioned ? Cool track man, different mix to the one that you mailed me a while back.

Naty So you are back :-) Man, it's been a while! Hope that you're well and that life is good. I kinda drift in and out as time allows, more on the w/ends that in the week. cya round. :-)

Okay, top DVD tip of the day.................. I watched (part) of it last night .....The Ibanez 90th Anniversary gig ................wow!, whoa! and Holy Crap!........................... Paul Gilbert, Andy Timmons and Steve Vai on the same stage..........cutting heads like they meanit........................ I have got absolutely no idea where you can get it, but if you can, do!!
