Dr5150: Headless, Headless Horseman and Bamboo are all i know!
Bad Horse: I am great, you? Wow if i could, i would spend that time on guitar, but with school and all, tis quite difficult! I love all aspects of the guitar man! Feeding off of theory is probably what I do 51% of the time I practice, and the 49% left would be the technical excercises, plus shredding and improvising, what I call the physical and mental workout!
I love all these many parts to guitar playing, and I like to think I am on an endless journey to discover myself. You should read Zen Guitar if you already havent, it's a fantastic book which approaches guitar from a Buddhists point of view, and is written by this late guitarist/Buddhist. He talks about how guitar is a journey, and guides you through learning and discovering the guitar, no sheet music or tab in here, but I learned more about guitar than I ever have reading that book!! Recommend it to EVERYONE!!

Thank you SlickPotatoHead! I think it is wonderful that you love guitar and all concerning it. It is great, it is another world that can see only a few people who feel it inside. Yes guitar it is the best invention and i am not afraid to say that.
The sound you hear inside it is the voice of the god!
Keep it inside, becouse it helps you to get closer to him.

Hey Joe my fiance and I can't get enough of "The Crush of Love" that has got to be a secrect formula that you used to captivated listeners all over the world. As you Know music is a universal language and I feel that you're able to somehow talk to your listener's by way of your "Cry baby" and other state of the art effects. Hey some people may have a problem with that but I say it's what ever it takes to achieve that feeling you get and try to turn the guitar into a voice that can be heard once again. Keep on ROCKIN-N BLUESIN

VFR, oop, my bad! haha. Thanks a lot dude, I'd love to see the Ibanez 90th footage. Regards the Vai GIT bootleg....what's it like? Cliff sent me the tape of Satch and Vai and the rest in Seville, 1992, and Vai's set just didn't do it for me.
That said, I think I was put off by his pitiful outfit.....he somehow made it possible for Diamente or white Rhinestone to be more fashionable than something! haha. Have you seen the Seville 92 show? if not, basically, Vai's outfit was a suit (with no shirt) with all these horrible fake crystals hanging off it, swinging around, and generally looking tasteless, each one about 10cm long! haha.
Naty, yeah if I had a chocolate allergy it'd kill me! That's got to suck, big style!

Bad Horse: It is very true that the guitar is THEE instrument. You can play everything on it, and for phrasing and tone, sounds greater than anything else!

I was just checkin' out basses on the ESP website...now, I've played the F-series guitar range they have and I have to say they look better than they play (mainly due to the neck).
But the F-series bass is really something I need to try, it looks beautiful especially in the turquoise, has anyone played one of these?

muzic4me5150 Thanks for your kind words, now, ok, I did not used a whammy pedal for that part, I used a boss PS-5, it is the super shifter used as a whammy.
In my recordings I use my kustom III Lead amp line out direct to the computer, everything to the N-track studio software.
Dr5150 The headless horseman great and fast tapping song
Joe any news on the new peavey signature products?

Right SlickPotatoHead! What abou sound? I mean evry musician have to get his own sound (voice) as Jimi Hemdrix had. So it is important for one's individuality. And you also have to get something spesial in music that close only to your understanding. I realy wish you to spend more time with your guitar!
Have fun!!

Greetings, Satchlings!
Yep, it's a long weekend (Queen's Birthday) which means State Youth Camp. Was a blast. The boys kept us up (no surprises there), took some injuries for the team, ate too much good food, had some great discussions etc etc. All the things you do when you're a teenager or you're young at heart and haven't ruined your body yet.
Had to drive home by myself early this morning, as the University doesn't care about public holidays and regularly allocates 9am exams to me on public holidays. Went pretty well despite 12 hours sleep and extreme amounts of exercise in the last 72 hours. Got radio tonight 'til 12 so sleep will be appreciated when it eventually comes.
DaveW: "Who's Maria?" I'd tell you, but you'd say "yeah I know"

Greetings Joe,
Listen I just wanted to ask you if you could set up a lesson tab on your site. I have the 41 private lessons book......believe me it will take the rest of my life to work through all of it at the pace I'm going! But I would really like to see maybe some of your thoughts these days on techniques you have obviously mastered. Most importantly***** I would love to see and hear you bestow upon us examples of pitch axis*****!!! and I've noticed how you will pivot between particular mode groupings, these types of lessons would be awsome!
Anyway, Ive been requsting "lifestyle" on the local radio station, and they are playing it. Yep, I got your back Satch! -Rock 0n-
