PhryDom, who is "Course Of Evolution"?

Anyone see the farcical US Grand Prix yesterday? What a joke. I think it's so harsh that Michelin are taking the hit for this one, it's so blatantly not their fault. Firstly, someone should have informed them that the track surface had been diamond cut too make it more abbrasive, and secondly the FIA has regulated the sport to the point that it doesn't know what to do when the unexpected happens. Max Mosely needs firing.

The upside to this is that there will hopefully never be a Grand Prix at Indianapolis again, which is great, cause the track is complete crap.

962 - Course of Evolution is Matt King's band......

I think that losing a race in the USA will hurt F1..
they worked real hard to make it happen... and now the FIA have pissed it away...
even if there is another US Grand Prix [at whatever track], they've managed to blow away lots and lots of fans..
and without fans F1 is nothing...

you have to feel for the fans... some of those guys had travelled so far... spent so much of their 'hard earned'...
so much cost, time and effort.... and nothing in return...

they have every right to be pissed...

Hello Mister Satriani!

I want to tell you about one young rock-guitarist. He is 13 years old. He is from town of Simferopol, Crimea, Ukrain. He plays electric guitar wonderfully. Everybody, listening to him, say that his play is remarkable. His level of play is far forward than that of many other rock musicians (who are far older than him) and reaches the level of professional rock guitarists. For now, he played mostly in Simferopol, Crimea and Ukrain. He plays in style of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple. And he is going to continue to play and to perform concerts. Now he and his parents search the possibility to play on public (to make concerts) because the level of his technical skills in guitar playng reaches professional. He has songs (instrumental and with vocal) authored by himself. They are written in style of hard rock and are very beautiful (the melody and the words are).

We heard about your program for suport of young musicians. The young musician and his parents are interested to try to take part in that program (to play a concert). Please tell us about that program and how we may contact you. He had already recorded some of his concerts and put them on DVD. We can send you a part of his video or audio track.

Please send us reply if you can contact us and we can cooperate you in some way by email to asergievskiy@computel.ru

Thank you!

Clarky, right on, I was pissed enough and I was just watching it on telly. You've definitely got to feel for those guys who'd flown from Panama, not to mentiuon the 10,000 JPM supporters who'd travelled up from Columbia. I think it's outrageous that Max Mosely made the decision he made. I don't think Ferrari helped matters much, but it really is the FIA who's to blame.

A Vegas street circuit would be good, I know it's something Bernie has been hoping for. I'd love to see a Moscow GP in the calendar though....they've been trying for that one for about 6 years now...

Re F-1, never mind the fans, what about the die hard volunteers who work so hard for these events usually giving up a week or more of hard earned vacation time to follow/participate in their passion!!! My X-boss used to spend thousands for the privelege of being a track timer at Indy races....

All they needed to do was delay the start a bit and add a chicane!!! I think Bernie and the whole F-1 executive have been around long enough!!!!

mikesb, agreed, but don't get Bernie confused with the FIA. Bernie owns F1 but the FIA, run by Max Mosely, has power over F1 (and the FIA GT Championship, and I think World Rally as well). I think Bernie, too, would have liked to have a chicane put in...he certainly pushed for it...but in the end it all came own to the FIA being a bunch of picky, self-absorbed bastards who completely missed the point cause they were too busy trying to prove their own. Bernie is good for F1, he's managed to get it into China, Bahrain, Turkey, and has his foot in the door of India and Russia.
everyone, new track uploaded! Please check it out here. The track's called "Powerhouse"

Good Morning Satchland...... Hello Peeps.....

Well we had a banner weekend...... On Friday my son Aaron graduated from Devry... It was awesome. It seems like yesterday I was cartin' him off to kindergarten. It was wonderful to see him graduate. Also, it looks good for Aaron to get the promotion at work( double his income)

Sat. one of my best friends daughter got married. She was proposed to in a castle in Scottland. Keeping with that theme...they were married in a mansion in Joliet,Il. called Patrick C. Haley mansion. He was the mayor of Joliet in the late 1800's and built the mansion for himself. It was beautiful. We were so happy to be apart of that.

Sun. Happy Fathers Day...... What can I say.....Iceing on the cake. It was a great day. Great weather all weekend. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Congrats to all the T2J winners. I can't wait to hear the CD. I'm very excieted for the winners. Next year I'm deffinetly going to submit. It would be an honor to be on that CD if chosen.

Clarky..... I told you. Man that girl can play. She's gorgeous, plays great and a Redhead...It's just to much to take. I've been in love with Redheads since Bonnie Raitt hit the front cover of Guitar Player in "72". As fate would have it. I've been married to a Redhead for 26yrs. Yes, there is a God.....

Hi Joe..... Long time no Blue. What's going on in the Satriani camp? CD update...... PLEASE..... I think we're all jonesin'

962.... Nice tune man. I love your guitar tones. Sounds great.

Have A Great Day Everybody

Yay!!!!! I made it onto the T2J2 CD!!!!!! I'm chuffed to bits, espeiclaly considering all the other great players here...

petrucci_js - Nah, man. I'm too busy a guy to watch two consecutive Dream Theater shows!!! I'd much rather just watch them play DT tracks. Might go to see Korn when they're playing though...

Ya Yo - Hmm, that's interesing. I've certainly never used the Locrian mode over it's I chord (m7b5). I prefer either a Locrian nat. 2 or diminished scale approach.

Delfino/Clarky - Going back a while, but regarding the posts about Stella Artois. Did you know, it actually has an enzyme in it that makes people aggressive/violent? That's a fact by the way. Personally, I don't like the taste of Stella. It tastes like chemicals to me. Gimme a Kronie 1664 or a Grolsch any day!!!!

OCPS - When's the latest I can get the CD of my track to you for mastering? I have two uber busy weeks packed full of interviews, auditions, gigs, and teaching coming up so I won't be able to get it in the post until any time thereafter. And bear in mind I live in the UK... lol. Drop me an e-mail with your address bro. Cheers for letting me in on the CD.

962..... I happy to hear you're usig a Pod. I love Line 6 stuff. My live rig is a Pod Pro through a Crown power amp into the Line 6 412st bottom. I also have the floorboard with the Pod 2.0(kidney shaped Pod) I've been very happy with this set up. I'm considering dumping the Pod Pro for the XT Live. I read some reviews and they said it's worth the price just for the effects. Ever mess with one? I heard the sounds off there web site and I think it sounds great. There's a lot power that can be tucked under your arm.

Where's Nola?

ka girl are you out there?

Also.... I posted a while ago about Quantegy going out of buisness. They were the leading tape manufacturer for Analog and Digital recorders. I'm pleased to announce a group of brave investors have rescued Quantegy from bankcrupcy court. Tape is born again(for now anyway)This is a breath of fresh air for all recordist. I personally can't imagine a recording industry without tape. Technology keeps marching on and you can't stop that.

Later Peeps
