Sup Im a fan of joe but also a fan of steve vai, alexi laiho and zakk wylde. Joe Satriani has more melody in his songs than anybody I have seen and his way of playing influenced me on my guitar skills.

what the f*ck is goig on here? I duck my head out for 24 hours and come back to find people pouting in the corner, all cause they got the wrong impression. Chill out folks!
Delfino, awww, that's the first really good thing that's happened to me today, thanks for that....I know you haven't forgotten, I figured you've been very busy though, especially with it being exam time and college coming to an end. Also, I promise I haven't forgotten your stuff, I've just got the small problem of needing to source a copy of Nero 6 so I can make the DVD! hehe. I will get it done though do, I swear!
marimariSRV, what's EJ's new record like?
PhryDom, "so much to tell & show him and i can't"....I can very much relate to that. Take it easy dude. I'll raise a glass in a minute when I'm done checking mail and messageboard!

Mikesb - Rory Gallagher, what a great player! Is it really 10 years since he died? I was listening to a programme on BBC Radio the other week presented by Gary Moore, and he talked about how they played a lot of the same gigs in the early days.

They used to lend each other their guitars to help get different sounds during their sets. Rory used to borrow Gary's Peter Green Les Paul and Gary used to borrow Rory's battered strat!

Fave song has got to be 'Off the Handle'. I used to go watch a local blues band who did a great cover of it.

962 - I thought Vai's outfit from Seville in '92 had gone solo??!! My old guitar tutor actually met Steve when he was working as a transcriber for Frank Zappa and he did a lecture at Berklee. Apparently only a half a dozen people showed up - bet that wouldn't happen now!

He said it was great and he was a bit shocked to learn that he had learned The Attitude Song at the wrong speed - he had got a flexi disk of it (anyone remember them??!!) and played it at 45rpm instead of 33 1/3!!!! And he had nailed it as well!!!! I wonder if it is the same one your after on video?

Things on Michael Jackson's To-Do List

5> Cancel subscriptions to Highlights and Boys' Life.

4> Stop referring to children's hospital visits as "speed-dating."

3> Celebrate with my old Irish chum, Ryne O'Plasty.

2> Vow to never stop searching until I find my *real* nose.

and the Number 1 Thing on Michael Jackson's To-Do List...

1> Give Macaulay Culkin that kickass Hummer I promised him for testifying on my behalf. And maybe an SUV, too.

jlavell you are not the only one who thinks EJ should be on the next G3 North America tour which I hope is going to be this year. He is a great composer and musician all around, I have only heard some songs from various albums and only own Venus Isle myself but love his work. I wish he would do a Canadian tour cause I would like to see him play a whole show, it would be cool.

Phil Jackson to Serve Second Tour With Lakers

LOS ANGELES - Phil Jackson is returning to the Los Angeles Lakers following a reconciliation with the team that cut him loose last year after three NBA championships in five seasons. Spokesman John Black said Tuesday the team has rehired Jackson, who was let go by owner Jerry Buss last June 18.

A news conference was set for 5 p.m. EDT at Staples Center.

Jackson, who turns 60 in September, has had health issues in the past and underwent an angioplasty two years ago. He told ABC-TV before the opening game of the NBA Finals that he underwent a series of tests to make sure he was healthy.

Jackson agreed to a three-year contract. Terms were not announced, but it's believed he'll be earning between $7 million and $10 million per year, which would make him the highest-paid NBA coach ever.
