Hello everyone....

Just seen that film Creep, is pretty bad, but the ending is clever.

Does anyone think i could earn money by selling an official SOAD misprinted t-shirt??? I know i couldn't but it would be funny! COPENHAGEN - SWEDEN!

I haven't listened to Satch all day today, my retro "Compact Disc" player ran out of "batteries". Can't believe cd players out of date, who wants an iPod??

Sometimes I feel like Im talking to myself....

cuthbert, a chicane is a construction of two tight corners, with opposing direction changes, in immediate succession. Monaco has many examples. Also, think of the hilltop "corkscrew" at the summit of the Laguna Seca circuit. Because the corners are so close together it pulls the apexes closer to being perpendicular to the straight racing line, so you have to slow down to get through it.
Keniko, no I've not played around with any of the other Line 6 stuff. I can't say I'm a huge fan....the POD is good enough for what I need it to do and is definitely a good teaching aid, but when I've recorded something with it but then play the same thing straight through my amp, it sounds so much better! but yeah, like I said, it's useful!
SlickPotatoHead, yeah I agree, it's mad to think CD is outdated. and minidisc didn't last long, which blows, cause I got me an ace MD player. I do like the functionality of Compact Flash and USB Flash Memory sticks and things like that, but I hate the sound quality of MP3......the only good MP3 encoding I've heard is on X-Box, somewhat surprisingly!
Once again, I uploaded Powerhouse today. All are welcome to check it out!

My exam was a Media exam...which apparently is a piss easy subject according to people who take physics and maths etc...I think the exam went wrong in the "Representation" section...we pick one of two questions in this section and write an answer in 45 minutes...to me the first question made fuck all sense gramatically so I couldn't attempt to answer that one, leaving me with question 2...which I couldn't think of a way of applying any case study we had learnt in class to...so I sort of just had a whack at it and if I fail it (which is most likely as I had no structure and hardly any decent points in my eyes) I fail it lol.

The second part of the exam was to answer a question about genre using any genre we have studied citing specific examples...we learnt about sci-fi (horror would've been easier but what ever)...I think I did it ok...but who knows on that I thought I did well in January and failed that one with an 'E' lol...which I re-sat today and feel "alright" about...but today was the worst exams I have ever taken and it has made me feel pretty wank.

Al

Ideally I would be a bum...but I would want a lot of financial support so I could get wasted every day and eventually die happy as a proverbial clam with liver sirrosis (sp?).

But nah, not for me, I wanna get trained in 3D design and animation to accomplish my dream of working for a company like Pixar or Bungie Studios.

962

Yeah it did cheer me up, the ending made me smile lol...

I won't be re-taking the exam, its my final year and I either get the grades or don't. Apparently the best thing to do is to phone the University on the day we get our results and ask them if they will still accept me with the grades if I don't get what I need. However, if I fail so badly that they laugh at me down the phone (lol), I can also take a HND course to give me a "step-up" to where they think I should be at before I start my degree course.

My plan however is to create such an astonishing 3D design portfolio with a wide range of stuff from cartoony characters to (hopefully) photo-realistic models...hopefully this will be enough to make them think I am indeed ready for the degree course and won't need to spend a year doing the HND.

Master Yoda

I seriously didn't know that...it explains the 'wife beater' nickname...can't say it makes me violent or angry but it totally makes sense for when some of my mates drink it.

Anyway, I'm doing great and thanks for asking. Sorry the weather been keeping you from training. STAY FOCUSED. How's the guitar playing coming along?

Mari..... I was wondering if you saw my post about my Uncles restuarant? FYI... The name was The Crystal Palace. Ever hear of it? It's been 40 yrs. so who knows.

Hey I made it onto the T2J CD! :-) I'm stoked, there are definitely more technically accomplished players in here but I tried to do something that I felt that I could do and not make a bad job of something that I couldn't....................... looks like it paid off :-)

962 Hey Simon :-) Check out www.courseofevolution.com. Matt JKing is a monster player and a real grounded, humble guy to boot. I agree the F1 was a joke, but why couldn't michelin get tyres across from europe to the states when they knew on Friday ?

Cube Oh, so now everyone knows "Dave"............"Dave this" and "Dave that",,,,,hah ha ha :-) Man I wish that I could get the DVD ordered :-/ On a different note........... dude you're becoming a bit of a Celeb stalker.............I hope that the authorities don't pull an 'Alex Lifeson' on you....lmao ;-)

Fabollox Nice new site man.............. can't wait for the CD.............I wonder if the poor boy will be awake for its release ? lol

MariMari I first heard 'Can't Find....' on Eric Clapton's 'Back Tracking' Compilation album way back in the 80s.................... best song on the double album........so soulful........

New song

Needs someone to write lyrics and sing on it as I am only a humble guitarist.

Its basically the song representation of the level of the same name on the game Halo 2.

I hope you like it.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/6/delfino_music.htm

its called "Delta Halo"

962 - hahaaa... look what Ferrari had to gain.... Schuey got an easy 10 points.... launched from 7th to 3rd in the driver's championship... his first win this season too....

and the only reason Minardi went out is because Jordan - their only competition - broke their promise.....
if Jordan had honored their promise only Ferrari would have raced.....

stinks...

mikesb - very good point... a pal of mine is a marshall at the Brands Hatch track in Kent UK... loves bike racing but does touring cars etc etc....
and yes you're right.. like your pal.... completely for free he commits whole weekends... not only the race but qulifying sessions too....

such a shame all 'round really..

Keniko - one thing I know that beats her is a cellist I know...

a very hot redhead... playing Bach on the cello nekid....

blew me away....

Cuth - a chicane is a series of two or more very tight bends very close together...
Yoda - personally I prefer 1664 and Grolsch too....

Wish me luck for my last exam tomorrow...English Literature and language...should be packed full of carpel tunnel and severe cramp.

I'm not threating it though, I feel well prepared for it...I already know what the questions is i just need to use my time constructively and use a decent structure for it...

Take care y'all and goodnight...

a funny from my work buddy.....

The Blonde Pilot

A blonde went to a helicopter flight school insisting she wanted to learn to fly that day. As all the planes were currently in use, the owner agreed to instruct her on how to pilot the helicopter solo by radio. He took her out, showed her how to start it and gave her the basics, and sent her on her way.

After she climbed 1000 feet, she radioed in. "I'm doing great! I love it! The view is so beautiful, and I'm starting to get the hang of this."

After 2000 feet, she radioed again, saying how easy it was becoming to fly. The instructor watched her climb over 3000 feet, and was beginning to worry that she hadn't radioed in.

A few minutes later, he watched in horror as she crashed about half a mile away. He ran over and pulled her from the wreckage. When he asked what happened, she said: "I don't know! Everything was going fine, but as I got higher, I was starting to get cold. I can't remember anything after I turned off the big fan." :)

And to all the ladies out there:

Last Friday was International Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman's Day, so this is in honor of that, sorry it's a little late:

I got this from a Very Good Looking, Damn Smart Woman: "Remember this as a motto to live by: Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Have a wonderful day!
