Good Morning Satchland......How is Everyone?
Well I have some closure but I'm still down. I'm still trying real hard to come to grips with this sensless accident. In the funneral home there were pictures everywhere of Todd with his family, baby pictures, as young man, hunting and fishing, wedding, jobsite photos. It was very hard to see at the same time nice. Frozen in time being the man that he was. In the casket there were hand drawn pictures from the nieces and nephews. I read the one and completly fell apart. It was a picture of a man hunting and it read "Get Well Soon". Oh... the eyes of the world through children. You gotta love it and I do so very much. There was a lot of support from the locals....at least 300 people came out to pay respects. What I found out at the wake is this...... Two days prior to the accident, two men were in the manhole capping off some pipes. There were obviously no toxic fumes or gases at that time. From that piece of info I concluded:
Todd went in the man hole to save his emplyee thinking there was no danger. I talked with his wife and she said there were three men at the site. The one employee witness the man in the manhole grabbing his chest over his heart. Yelled to Todd "I think he's having a heart attack" Todd jumped off the backhoe handed his cell phone to the guy and said "call 911" and went in. I talked with Todd's mother and she said Todd knew the risks of fumes and gases below ground(as I suspected also) but didn't think anything of it 'cause the two days prior they were working in the manhole. The accident is still under investigation with OSHA. At this time no one knows what gas killed both men. This is such a tragedy. A case of unforntunate chain of events that led to two men dying.
Thanks for all the blessings for Todd and his family and the support you've given me. It has ment a lot me.
Have A Great Day Everyone..... LIVE HUGE !!!!!

Great gig last night!!!!! Photos coming soon. The set was recorded too, so that'll be up on the site soon also. To add to that, we had some very exciting feedback via e-mail. I'll say no more for now...
OCPS - Yeah, I do enjoy it. It can get a bit much sometimes though...
Clarky - lol... Yeah, I suppose did!! I haven't done many as yet, but it's still early days I guess!
Delfino - Firstly, "Outstanding Guitarists" -LMAO!!!!! Now, back to the topic. Chris' advice was spot on. It's a kind of push/pull motion with the right hand, and defenitely neck p/up all the way. Information on how to sweep-pick will be on my upcoming instructional DVD, so stay tuned for that!!!! (It'll be fun to see if anyone else notices what I just said -you're the first to know... ;-))

Clarky, if you told me, I forget - is it your picking hand or your fingering hand? Might I suggest you go easy for a bit and let them heal. Mangling your already mangled fingers isn't going to strengthen yer chops any. lol! Just keep your hand up as much as possible to keep the swelling down, and use it as a good excuse to keep a cold pint in yer hand :)
Keniko - *big hug*
Alexandre, hiya honey! Things are good here. Cats are good too. lol! Kisses to you and yours.
TomSr, hello! I can't wait for the show :)
Mari, thanks for the offer on the lamps. My nephew is still living with his cousin, so I'm not sure what he needs or when he'll need it. Of course, he only calls me when he wants or needs something. lol! At least that was I always know what to expect when it comes up on the caller ID. lol!
I'm catching up backwards instead of from the beginning. Why? lol!
Hi Slan *waving*
Man, I'm so tired. I feel like I could sleep for a week!
I really need to keep caught up. Dis is gittin' redikerus!

They were selling chocolate King Tut on a stick. No wonder there is a curse.
Steve Martin - King Tut - 1978
You can see the skit online just google it. Available as a ringtone.
Now when he was a young man he never
thought he'd see (King Tut)
People stand in line to see the boy king (King Tut)
How'd you ever get so funky (funky Tut)
Then you'd do the monkey
(Born in Arizona moved to Babylonia King Tut)
Now if I'd known the line would form to see him (King Tut)
I'd take up all my money and buy me a museum (King Tut)
Buried with a donkey (funky Tut)
He's my favorite honky
(Born in Arizona moved to Babylonia King Tut)
Dancing by the Nile
Ladies loved the style (waltzing Tut)
Rocking for a mile (walking Tut)
He ate a crocodile
he gave his life for tourism
Golden idol
He's an Egyptian!
They're selling you
Now when i die don't think I'm a nut
Don't want no fancy funeral just one like old King Tut (funky Tut)
He coulda won a grammy (King Tut)
Buried in his jammies
(Born in Arizona moved to Babylonia
Born in Arizona got a condo made of stone-a King Tut)

Holy Moly! haha. I've been working on "Victory" and "Soulful Terrain" from EJ's Tones album today. There is definitely nobody quite like him. Has anybody else checked out the quicktime movie of "My Back Pages" from the Bloom album, now up on his site? It's a great video. I haven't got the album yet, and have made a point of not listening to loads of previews. The video is my first exposure, and I'm almost frothing at the mouth with excitement and anticipation of my copy arriving. It sounds like, at least for that song, he's giving the same feeling of rawness that was in the live tracks of Alien Love Child.
Clarky, re. sweeping, would you advise starting off with short arpeggios or going for long (6 or 7-note) arps right from the outset?

Mikesb – Nope. Did my corrections for curvature and refraction. Accounted for my delta V between the EDM angle and the theodolite angle. What sucked was the first problem of the final was the reference for the rest of the test. So if you jacked that up you screwed yourself for the other answers.
I can see how surveying in the winter where you are would be a slightly unpleasant experience!!
Johnny_E - Congrats on the new guitar!!
Simon – I tend to listen to Train of Thought the most.
Oh well back to work for a little while. Got auditions this weekend and next. Hopefully one of these guys can play. Late peeps.
