Yoda: Still cool though man! Nothing better than getting kids jazzed about really playing the guitar and being paid for it. I did a guitar clinic for teens about a year or so ago and really dug it. I'd definitely love to do more things like that. BTW, do you teach any students right now? You out to get into that if you haven't already. I'm up to about 30 students a week at present, and it's great! Good luck

Anyone seen the War Of The Worlds movie yet? I really wanna see it...

OCPS - lol... Where ya been, man? I do shit loads of teaching at the moment. I do two full days at this school, all evening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through an organisation called The Rock And Pop Music School, and I also have five or six private students. It adds up to about fifty students in total, not including the occasional stand-in lectures I do at ACM.

Hi Joe, I'm a your sturdy supporter since I was a joung boy and I live in Italy. I have all your CD's and lots of posters and gadgets of you. But there is a big dilem that I wish I could solve, and perhaps you might help me in dealing it. Last week I knew that your maiden name is Saterini, and I'm called Saterini As Well !!!!!!!!!! I gave a quick glimpse to my familiar-tree, but I didn't manage to understand my oldest roots. The only thing I have known is that all people called "Saterini" cames from a sole branch. So perhaps we might be relatives !!!!! I come from Toscana (Montelupo Fiorentino), even if I'm living in the north Italy now (Near Venice). My great father was called Carlo, born in the 1860 about. My father was called Mars, born in the 1919. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. It would be a big gift to me!!! Break a leg with you wonderful music ! Carlo Saterini

Hi Joe,and to all the band and fans..i'm not new to this site but was away 4 2 years working in the Uk as i'm English but i live in Germany (Soest near Dortmund). I have all your cds and most of your Videos & dvd's and as a Guitarist from 1977 have also been influenced by Jimmy and yourself (is there a Hendrix site ?) and find myself jammin to all your stuff as its out of this world. I have a question but it may be for Glen or Otis (zen master) as its a technical one towards your pickup wiring ?. Q: Is your bridge (fred) pickup wired in revese (other way around to that in the Neck pos) like with the JEM models. Well as a fan i have (unhappy bear) never got to see you live but theres still hope, and although i have lived in HongKong i heve never been to America either. Well must get on and let you awnser all the mails so as you can then get down to boogie'in us all some new matierial, as we all love's wotz u does...BFN (bye for now) sybod

does anybody know when the sale of Vai's UK tickets ends? I thought, when they first went on sale, I saw something saying they'd be available until the end of this month, but I can't see anything that says that now, and it would surprise me greatly, considering the shows are in October.

if anyone knows please shout, cause I really need to know whether I need to get tickets before I go to Holland, or if it can wait.

Hi Joe,its me again the English Musician living in Germany and as i was just reading these letter i saw the bit about your'e New Peavey Amp and as i said before i'v never seen you live ..well it could of happend a few years back for me but Peavey (in Corby Near Peterborough UK) turned me down (all say ahhh) as i went for a (private) interview about getting a job as German / English traslater for the European catalogs. I would of done more (if i'd of got the job) as i have throughout my days on planet earth .. built Guitar/Pa boxes/Amp tweakin, customized (rep) gutars and basses includidng low-string action (fr) and have done stage-hand (mix) also studio (efx) work too...and worked in a music-shop so i had a lot to offer but that's life !. Did you dig the large cardboard cutout (lifesize) of Eddie (vh) in the front entrace ? what a posser but great player too. So if you was there then it could of happend...DreamOn...Bfn sybob

Good Morning Satchland...... How are you guys?

Thanks again for all your support and your blessings for Todd and his family. It really means a lot to me. Today I'm driving to Wisconsin with Cindy for Todd's wake. It's most likely going to be the longest trip to Wisconsin I'll ever take. I don't know much more about the accident other than what I posted from the local paper. I did hear that Todd handed his cell phone to another worker and said "call 911" and jumped in the man hole to rescue his other worker. I agree with VFRocker the accident was avoidable and I don't think your cruel for saying that and I understand what you were saying. I've been in construction myself for over 30 yrs. and even though not in excavation I know the risks. As a construction superintendent we were always getting trained by OSHA on dangers and had to attend safety meetings once a month. I'm having to come to grips with ...Why.... Todd was an expiereance excavator and most likely knew the risk. Hero?.....I don't know yet.....but knowing Todd.... Yes. I'll find out more at the wake and share the info. This is all I know for now...... Thanks again..... You guys are great.

ka girl.... I'm so sorry for your brothers hand. Is he OK?

Where's Nola?....

Later Peeps. It's time for our little journey. This is going to SUCK......

Edit......Estrela.....How are you my Dear? Thanks for the email. Those photo's were wonderful. Did you do the Photoshop work?

Good Morning Everyone!! We have a big AAAGHH- dition weekend this weekend. We have a singer (maybe), a bassist, and a guitar player. The singer is kinda iffy in that he got in a car accident and is still recovering. The bassist I have no idea about. The drummer has been talking to him. The guitarist is pretty good. A bit laid back, but what can you do. I think he has the technical ability to cover the stuff easily. My concern is if he can cover all the effects. He is also a big muther-effer!! I’m only 5’-7”. He is 6’-5”. The singer is 6’-4”. I’m going to look like Ronnie James Dio standing next to these two.

Mikesb – Passed all my classes. So I am into the engineering school next year. Some how I got a C in surveying. I thought for sure I would have an A or B in that class. The curve must have been really high.

Started writing some tunes. Hopefully I will figure out my recording software so I will be able to share. Everyone have a great day.

I just had the most awesome ticket buying experience - but it didn't start out that way...

I couldn't find a password to buy tix yesterday for the Gigantour. I'm actually glad I didn't, and I didn't stress about it to much. I figured I could get them today. I never went to the venue for tix before when they went on sale, so I wasn't sure how it worked. I drove to the venue, only to find ALL the parking meters had "No Parking: by order of the PO-lice" signs on them. The parking lot right across the street needs pass access to enter, and I have no stinking pass, so I was like WTF! I went to Plan B (nice I even had a plan B, but I even had Plan C :) I was determined! lol! I drove a few blocks away to the next venue, and found some sort of green curb parking space. Now I know blue is handicapped, yellow is don't even think about it, but what the hell is green? Irish only - so I parked there :) It was about 9:30. The crowd I was expecting wasn't at either venue - lucky fer me! So, I have no idea what door to enter. First door - locked. Second door - open :) Ooooookay, there's nobody here. The place is dark, but the door was unlocked, so there I stood, in this huge place, all by my lonesome. After contimplating and singing "should I stay or should I go?" a woman came out of the darkness. I scared the crap out of her by being there. The closer to me she got, the more nervous she looked (it's the tattoos - lmao!). I got the lowdown on where to get the tix (Muffy says the vestibule window), so I apologize for going one door to many, and happily wait in my designated area. A short while later, the ticket queen arrives. She was much more pleasant than Muffy. About 9:45 she started getting busy behind her window and asks me what tix I want. I get the seating chart and point out "somewhere down in here". As I'm looking at the seating chart, the ticket queen is tapping away at her keyboard. She ask how many, I say three, and she says how bout section 105 row 4. I just looked at her and blinked. Hell yeah! It's EXactly where I wanted! Off the floor, aisle seat, close to the stage, high enough to see the dust from the pit - and on Petrucci's side of the stage :) I had my tickets and was back in my car by 9:53!!!! They don't even go onsale till 10:00! lmao!! I'm just looking at my tix, and they say $46.00, but every site I went to said $48.00. S'up wit dat? I was charged $48. for them. Anywho, there's another story for ya.

Stevee, thanks for lovin' me :)
