ahhh, another beautiful day in the satch land, dont you all think so?

962: were you being nice or mean. Just asking cause sometimes when people are being nice I think that they are being mean and when there being mean I think that they are being nice. Just from what they say.

Good day Satchland

News from Canada

Live 8's venue for the Canadian show has been chosen as well as the huge list of bands. The venue will be Park Place (formerly Molson Park) just south of Barrie and north of Toronto. Tickets are free, a stupid skill testing question is required to get tickets :s thats all. Acts include Candian bands The Tragically Hip, Great Big Sea, Sam Roberts, Bare Naked Ladies, Bryan Adams, Jann Arden and Brue Cockburn among other not so good Canadian artists like Simple Plan (biggest bunch of whiners I have ever heard) and Celein Dion doing a satellite performance, thats wank. Show starts at 11 am, there are still 3 more acts to be booked, the Rolling Stones might be one of them as they are practising in Toronto for their world tour.

Well, just got back from my interview for an official teaching post througyh East Sussex Music Service. Went okay, I guess. Certainly better than expected - I played surprisingly well, considering I normally suck ass in situations like those...

So, fingers crossed eh?

MASTER YODA - Good luck with the outcome of your interview, sounds like it went welll... :-) I had an interview for a teaching job in an EBD school, but I really fouled up the interview like you wouldn't believe- I was babbling away, if only I could have told myself to shut up maybe things would have been ok!!! Never mind, I think things happen for a reason, that was obviously not the right job for me, something else will turn itself up when the time's right...

MARIMARI - Did you see my post about Steven? We tried ringing the number on his above the numbers website, but it said it was disconnected- any ideas?

Good luck man, I'm sure you've done better than ok and really showed them what for...or, even what five. lol...

I just finished the 3rd and most likely final mix (to the best of my amateur ability) of my song "Delta Halo" which is not intended to be an instrumental but I can't see anyone writing lyrics to it off their own back so it will most likely remain as is...

Here's the link, tell me what you think, I hope you like it.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Summer Solstice. It's beautiful here but as tradition has it the June gloom will be here for the parade on Saturday.

Keniko - That is a very tragic story about your friend. My thoughts are with his family and you.

Tomorrow I see the Tut exhibit. King Tut funky Tut.

Joe, still listen to you every day. What are you listening to these days? Just curious don't mean to pry into your personal time. Dianne.

I've got the Creative Zen 20GB mp3 player, its served me well through the last 6 months and will most likely serve me well through the next few years lol...My sister owns an Ipod as do many of my friends and I honestly can't tell the difference in sound quality accept when it comes to using different ear-phones. The stock ear phones with the Ipod are sooo much better than the Creative Zen, but I never used the stock ones with my Zen anyhoo so its never been a problem for me.

But yeah to be honest i can't tell the difference, maybe cos' I'm slightly deaf but ahhhh well. lol

Keniko, sorry to hear that bad news dude....it sucks. Are you sure it was methane gas? I didn't think methane was odorless....I know Carbon Monoxide is. Regardless, it sucks, and that kind of accident is never really the sort of accident you'd think of.

Update, I just saw your latest message....again, I'm sorry to hear the bad news dude. Peace and kind regards

SupaaDave, I wouldn't bother replacing the Lo TRS II with another one, they don't last long. You should be able to retrofit a genuine Floyd Rose without any trouble - ask Chris Peters, I believe he's done it on an old S...
Delfino, yeah English papers are always like that! haha, I hate when you can't think of any decent way to include something that's on your mental checklist, so you write one sentence about it, and it's really blatantly obvious that it was a checklist item! haha. I dunno, maybe you're more sly than me?! hehe

Sweet, 3DS max and Maya Editor.....you won't be needin much else! That said, have you seen/used/heard of Lightwave? It's awesome. Years ago I used to download addon cars for Need For Speed 4 for PC, and one of the guys built cars using Lightwave. His car models were simply astonishing, far, far better than anything you've ever seen on Gran Tursimo 4, Project Gotham, Colin McRae Rally or anything. Yeah they require a high polygon count, but with today's technology that doesn't matter.

ka girl, haha, I was being nice! I don't tend to be mean to anybody unless they give me a reason to be mean, and even then I'll only get mean about something that matters! I was just giving the thumbs up to your comment that people who buy ipods are wasting their money!

Mikesb - Steve Martin did it as a funny tune. I think last time the exhibit came through. Late 70's. Now I can't get it out of my head.

Yeah lightwave is the most expensive software package of the lot methinks...MAYA has a pretty hefty price-tag but luckily my friends brother studied digital sculpture or something like that at Uni and so I got his hand-me-down software packages.

Although the game design industry only really uses 3DS and some people (like Bungie Studios) are using MAYA.

I'll post some of my stuff onto my myspace profile to update you on how its going.

I'm so glad that all my exams were within the first two days of this week, it gives me a shit load of time to carry on my search and application process for random jobs (which has thus far been over a year long search with most people not reply, I've only ever got as far as the interview stages).

Anywayz, time to sleep...

Joe (If I may), Sorry to say that in all my 48 years of life I had never heard of guitar maestro Joe Satriani until introduced to the "Is there love in space" album by a Mississippi shipping Pilot. Needless to say, my mind was well and truly blown! I immediately went and bought the "Anthology" double CD and the "Live in San Francisco" double DVD. I can't explain how impressed I am with your work, Mr Hamm on "Bass solo" is also pretty awesome! Now to something I found amazing. I was listening to the "Is there love" album (before I knew the track names) and I found myself imagining words to go with the music. The words were "Will I find love on Mars, will I find love there out in space", I checked the track name and was stunned to find that it was the title track! In tune or what!! This is turning out to be a book so all the best and keep up the fantastic work. Steve.

DCK: Thanks Mark! So when is Dave Martone going to do some gigs in the States ie NYC? hint hint!

AussieRGman: Sorry you have to sell your beloved car. Good Luck, I know it will find a good home. Why's the newere car selling for less? Just wondering.

SupaaDave: Thanks Otis......How's the family? Hope you had a great father's day.

Keniko: My thoughts and prayers are with your friend Todd and his family. It's such a tragedy, an unfortunate accident!

Suzie2000: I just saw your post and called Steven. I spoke to him. He is doing very well. He had company and again couldn't talk. I hadn't recieved the letters he said promised that would explain much. He said he will get them to me soon. If you want to email me I can tell you more. How did the job interview go?

Mari
