Happy Birthday to my wonderful mom!
She is 84 today and still beautiful, and one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet! How she stayed so sweet and is still sane after raising my 2 brothers and me, I have NO IDEA! LOL! I'm off to celebrate with her, my dad and the rest of the family....

Something really made me laugh today...it proves how stupid people can be even when they are sooo confident of something being right...
Host: Who won the women's final of Euro 2005?
Contestant: Australia
Host: Ok, what makes you say that?
Contestant: I watched the match.
Obviously the contestant was wrong for the following reasons, 1) it wasn't the correct answer, 2) since when has Australia been in Europe, 3) Australia?...seriously, with stupidity like that you deserve to lose.
Made me chuckle

Maire: I'd love to include Holland in my VAi tour, I hope I can make it work! What show(s) will you be going to? I'm working on my itinerary as we speak.......fingers crossed!! It would be so cool to see you and your beautiful country.
Suzie2000: I got the email, thank you.....it's MOST helpful!! The links and info you gave are just fantastic. It's making my planning so much easier. (the flight to Glasgow is only 37.50 GBP!) Right now looks it will be the 3 VAi shows London, Glasgow and Newcastle. It seems very doable! I'm hoping to fit Holland in there either before or after depending on Maire's schedule. Since I'm in the area.....why not?! hehe!
cheese101: Traci, Happy Birthday to your Mom!! I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating with your family! Glad you had a rocking day with JOE..they are the BEST days!!!
Keniko: Good Luck with the band auditions. I hope the right people find you, you deserve the best!! Steven Wilde's health is quite good from what I understand. I spoke to him on 6/20. I do not understand why he's no longer coming to this site. I wish I knew. He had friends over as he did the last times I've spoken with him. This doesn't allow him to speak freely. I'm still waiting for the letter that he said would explain everything.......He has other issues in his life he needs to overcome. Pray for him to be strong. God Bless.
Shel: Hey McGuyver Girlie!! I have a dilemma.....I bought 2 benches with filing drawers underneath that need to be put together it says with a power screwdriver. What can I use since I only have a regular screwdriver? I have vodka and OJ but I don't think that will work..any suggestions? ;-)) I'm sure it will be a little while before my parents downsize so let me know if he needs anything. I'll try to help out. Yes, my World Tour is shaping up quite nicely thanks to Suzie's help. Can't wait till I have it all in place and Oct gets here! lol! I'm looking forward to meeting/seeing everyone.
962: Simon, you'll be at the London show? I hope...
Phrydom: Happy 1500!! Lordy is it ever hot this weekend!! Stay cool my friend! ;-))
Stevee T: Sounds like a plan....let me know as it gets closer how it looks for you. That would be so cool if Greg Howe could make it to. Does he live near me? If so he could take the train with me and I'd drive him there if it's not too far away from me.

thank-you one and all....Stevee T, Suzie, Mari, estrela, JJ, Keniko, FabLawyer of SBM ( can I call you Ronnie? It's shorter, lol!) for all the lovely birthday wishes for my mom!
We had a really nice dinner celebration, some family from Washington was here for a vist. Only thing is, my mom was saying she was 74, not 84...not on purpose, just a tad confused for a moment...then was laughing when she realized what she'd said. Then threw her hands on her hips and said at her age if she wanted to be 74, we should just all hush up and go along with it! She's so cute....and has never been one to lie about her age on purpose. She also says you're only as young as you feel, and that inside she's still a girl of 16...I just love her! And I treasure all the minutes I have with my folks...cuz I'M not getting any younger! lol!!

Joe Satriani is back in the Bay Area after an ambitious tour behind his 11th solo album, "Is There Love in Space?," which saw the guitar virtuoso hit 25 countries, play 105 shows to more than 500,000 people and log at least 150,000 miles. The trek ended in May with three sold-out shows in India, where the newspapers dubbed him "Sultan of Strings" and "God of Guitars" ... What's Persephone's Bees doing on the "Bewitched" soundtrack?

Joe,
I just bought my 9 year old son his first guitar and he is starting lessons on June 28th. I took him down and bought him Satriani Live in San Francisco. We got home and put it in the dvd player and watched the entire show. My son is so pumped now. He was excited before, but that video is very inspirational. You are all he talks about now. He holds his guitar and rocks while watching your dvd, its so awesome to see a fire like that get lit. Any advice, for either of us, to keep it burning as he gets older?
It would be so fun to take him and see you live in concert. Do you make it up to Washington state?
Joe, keep up the amazing work you are very inspirational to watch and listen to.
Thanks,
Travis & Brady
P.S. He says his next guitar will be a JS1000.

Keniko No not a figure of speech but a real miracle...... two brothers that can get along in a band ! lol ;-) Yeah, me and my bro' (he being 4 years my junior) used to play in a band before, in all honesty we weren't that good but we enjoyed it. Just your basic 'pub rock' type band, maybe with a bit of a leaning towards a 'biker' band. We both play guitar and take the lead spots in turn, it's really cool. There aren't really any egos involved, a bit of sibling rivalary obviously, but if he pulls off some cool licks, I'm happy for him and vice versa. I'd say that we're both of a similar level of playing so its just a blast for us. I want a band to get me motivated and give me targets. I love the buzz of gigging after we start to play but I really hate the waiting to start once all the gear is set up, pacing up and down in the car park etc. My bro is a bit more chilled than me in that respect :-) Just got to find the right people.
Michelle roflmao :-0.................... nice mental image, NOT! lol
Dave/ Mark/Chris Okay so the CD to Chris has got to be a 44.1Khz stereo wav file............. I burn the CD direct from the digital 10 track (Zoom 1044CD), it's got a sampling rate of 44.1 khz so, so far so good, but I can't change how the data is saved to CD, the only option that I have is to leave the data 'raw' or to 'finalise' it so that normal CD playing equipment can play it. What do I do with the disc to make it suitable for Chris ?
