Hi Joe!
Uhhmmm, we sorta voted in the chat tonight....thought up your next possible contest....we'd like to do "Satriani Survivor".....any chance of that? You could be the emcee/host! And if it's not too much trouble, we'd like to not have to eat any bugs please, thank-you! Or drink anything gross either..if that's alright...
Doable? LOL! Yes, we are out of control......no blue in a long time to keep us in check.... :)

Right!! That's it!! Joe has not posted, so the secret panel of judges have declared that he will not be on his next album. Anyone who wants to be on the next Joe Satriani album (instead of Joe) should send their completed work to DCK within the next five minutes - or he will just put in his own track, along with something by his friends. Now, let's get the artwork done!!!

Wow, slow morning on the board today.
Audition update: (news reel sound in background tick tick tick tick...)Had a bass player and a singer come in along with a guitarist on his second. All went fairly well. The singer, while OK, was very inexperienced and lacked the presence that you would want out of your front man and his vocal range was a bit less than I would want. I want a vocalist that has around my range so that we don't have to throw out any songs. The bass player played the parts and was nice enough but man did that guy talk!!! I was having flash backs to a singer we had come in last summer. This guy was definately of the older ilk. More of a CC&R then a G&R. The guitarist did good. If the next guitarist that we have doesn't blow us away then this guy is the guy. That's the eye witness newsreel...
6StringTheory - Nice tunes. I like the tone you're getting. Give some recording details.
Hickbert - Nice catch on Clarky's cranialrectulitus!!
EDIT: bad typing skeeels

ive been a abig fan since about 1989 when a guy at school had some earphones on our last day. he had this great guitar player on called joe satriani and as soon as i got out of school i was down to hmv to by an album. i have as i say been a fan for a long time but i feel the last 3 to 4 albums have been un thought of sorry to say it but i like the old stuff much better. ive seen you live and it was just after you had released your last album you played lots of songs off it and i didnt realy know them. but durring the bits in between all the songs you were doing a bit of improvising and it was brilliant please do some more of the old sytle stuff. elias viljanen probably knows what im on about. he he speak soon.

SteveeT- That Les Paul sounds a beauty! :)
BigBunny- Good to hear from you!
MasterYoda- still no luck with the sound yet.... we have a mini-mac with great sound but no internet connection, and a PC with no sound AND internet connection! :(
Civgeek- expensive bunny! Not funny for the bank balance at all! I used to have a big white rabbit that used to lay on its side like a cat and watch the tv! lol
CaptainSteve- LOL... Has your wife forgiven you yet for the lack of wine generosity?
Bahduh- I'm fine thanks- how are you getting on?

We may be heading up to your neck of the woods in a few weeks so I may well take a detour and drink most of your homebrew (not all 'cause i'll have to let you have some!)
