Hi Joe! You are on the ground the best guitarist!! I listen many prominent guitarists, however Your music it speaks to me the most. You are simply brilliant in one's works! I have to You request. I also play on guitar. I have Your G3 Concert (in Denver), and fell in love in "Cold Story Night" and wanted oneself to teach him, I cann't repeat him on my guitar. Please, record this work on Tab, it would help me this extremely. You are The Best! Bye :)

Hi! When my dad was in the airforce.. when we lived in alaska, he mad a home video of F-16s flying around and also working on them. It was really cool because he put Summer song and War on it while they did upside down and trick stuff. He put the song bombs away on it.. from another artist while they were on tril bombing funs. . Its was in 1993 and I'm 15 so that would be 12 years ago. but it was really awesome!!

Slanshroom: Enjoy the holiday and the visit / jam sessions with Zenfish! Glad to hear your creating for the next album. I was listening to you earlier today......how cool is it that I can say that Roy?! .......t'was well worth the wait! Looking forward to hearing more, but for now just enjoy the time off with Tura, Zen and his Lady as well as exploring that part of the country. Have a great time Roy, you've earned it!

Zenfish: I sent your CD along with Roy's to Steven Wilde and he should have gotten it by now. I just haven't heard from him that he received it. Sorry it took me so long to get it to him. My schedule doesn't allow me to get to the post office till every so often. I know he was looking forward to it, I had told him when we spoke by phone. Have a great visit with Roy and Tura.

Cheese: What's BFE?.....How was your 2nd rafting trip? As good as the 1st? Hope so, I'll have to do it when I come out your way. You'll be a guide by then. lol!

Mikesb: How's it going? Very Nice review of Roy's CD by Pete! Tell him I said hello...how's things with you Mike? I met Carol and Ray from FM @ BB Kings a few weeks ago. We had a great time! They are some really cool peeps. ;)

Phrydom: Hey Dave......sweating your ass off? Yeah, the humidity has been down a bit but it's still hot. I do love summer though. I can feel it's starting to change, getting ready for fall. There's supposed to be a Perseid Meteor shower on the Aug.11-12 and Aug.12-13 if you are in a good area (away from the city) you should be able to see a meteor a minute! Kuul!

Shel: Check out the meteors Thursday and Friday! I've discovered Black Cherry Smirnoff's Vodka......Damn good shit!! MMmmmmm! I mixed it with diet 7UP, tastes unfreakinbelievable!! Stay cool sister. See you soon.....we'll try for September.

Alexandre: Thank you for making my weekend!! It was Soooo Great to talk to you! :-)) I'm so very lucky to have you as a friend. ;-)) I hope to get to Portugal very soon but I have only limited vacation time. I will visit someday and I know you will come to NYC soon also! I live near Philadelphia so I can show you both places! Kuul! Take care Alex! Hugs and kisses to you and your loved ones. How's your Father, well I hope? :) ~~Sea Eyes~~~

Ovation: OMG!! I passed out Mikey** Somebody give me mouth to mouth...J/K... LMAO!! Always a pleasure to hear from you. You have mail.....should be arriving anyday. Sorry I didn't write a note to go along with it. I've only had it since January so I figure just get it in the mail! I'm glad to hear that you are doing well and are involved with the girls teaching them basketball. Happy Belated Father's Day Mike! You are doing a great job. We've all missed you here. Hope to see you around when you can.

I'll catch up with yah later.....

Mari, I never tasted the flavored Smirnoff. I'll have to take another look at my options. lol! See you in September :)

Ruth, it's a bit early, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I have a busy day tomorrow and I didn't want to forget.

Cheese, how many days? lol!

Steve Young & Dan Marino got inducted into the Football Hall Of Fame today. The best years in 49er's/Dolphins history (Except Montana!) lol! How I loved watching the 49er's when Joe & Steve were QB's. (Joe & Steve? Where have we heard that before?) lol! Anyways, on a very sad note, Hunter Kelly, son of Jim & Jill Kelly, passed away. RIP little guy.

JOE, holla back!!

With that many dodgy LBW decisions each way a close result can't give a fair indicator of the rightful winner. (No matter who wins in the end!) Flintoff wants a leash around his neck, I fear for the general public with him on the loose! Well bowled anyway. Pretty exciting ending! Needing 100 with 2 wickets left, if I was Michael Vaughan I'd have very dirty pants by the end of the game.

New Blindside video is interesting!

Mari, great to hear from you!!! Glad (but not surprised) you had a great time with the Bowens, they seem like great people and of course you and Carol share a passion....

Still listening to FM RealLive all the time, more disk 1 than 2 for some reason, but I make sure to give Roy a spin a couple of times a week as well!!! Everytime I see a baby faced casualty from Iraq I think of FM's song "Stories of a Hero", what an amazing tune. You rock girl!!

DCK when do I get to hear the finished product and you shredding Lauderdale's ass!!!

ABC News Anchor Peter Jennings Dies at 67

NEW YORK - Peter Jennings, the urbane, Canadian-born broadcaster who delivered the news to Americans each night in five separate decades, died Sunday. He was 67.

Jennings, who announced in April that he had lung cancer, died at his New York home, ABC News President David Westin said late Sunday.

"Peter has been our colleague, our friend, and our leader in so many ways. None of us will be the same without him," Westin said.

Complete Hendrix Woodstock set heads to DVD

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Jimi Hendrix's closing performance at Woodstock on Aug. 18, 1969, is arguably one of the most iconic moments in rock history, but it has never been commercially available in its entirety.

That will change on Sept. 13, when Universal Music and Experience Hendrix release the DVD "Jimi Hendrix -- Live at Woodstock." The project comes out a day earlier in the U.K.

The double-disc set captures one of Hendrix's only performances with an extended backing band, dubbed Gypsy Sun And Rainbows. Longtime Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer supervised a new audio mix in both 5.1 and 2.0 stereo sound. Bonus features include "The Road to Woodstock" documentary, a contemporaneous press conference and "A Second Look," which blends black-and-white video footage with color clips from alternate angles.

More than 35 years later, Woodstock is still a high point for Gypsy Sun And Rainbows (and later, Band Of Gypsys) bassist Billy Cox. "We had a house in Woodstock for maybe 30 days, and then the Woodstock Festival finally came up," he told Billboard.com. "We worked, practiced and rehearsed very diligently for that. And the day finally came when we (played), and it was kind of a relief off our minds. We really did it as a group -- we were on stage for close to two hours."

Although many feel Woodstock marked the end of the 1960s counterculture movement, Cox said the festival vibe was "great. We went and played with the attitude of, 'Look at all those people, everybody's doing something different.' It's like watching television; we'll go with the vibe. So the energy from them came to us, and we threw it right back at them."

The performance crystallized a new period of musical exploration for Hendrix. "In the earlier times, when he was with Noel (Redding) and Mitch (Mitchell), the songs were very simple," Cox said. "The simplicity of the 'Foxey Lady's' and the 'Purple Haze's' now went into some pretty intricate things, like 'Jam Back at the House' and then later the 'Freedom's', the 'Dolly Dagger's,' and 'In from the Storm.' And you don't have the time to do a lot of pyrotechnics; you've got to play."

While the set list contained both favorites from the Jimi Hendrix Experience ("Purple Haze," "Foxey Lady," "Spanish Castle Magic") and then-unheard compositions ("Message to Love," "Jam Back at the House," "Izabella"), it was the guitarist's surprise rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" that became synonymous with the original Woodstock.

"(Jimi) was so into it -- if you listen closely you will see that I stayed on him," Cox said. "And when he started 'The Star Spangled Banner,' that impromptu thing, you hear the first four, five, or six notes; I'm in there with him. Then I said, 'Wait a minute, we didn't rehearse this, and it doesn't sound too good with me playing.' I backed away, and he continued and made a classic out of that."

Hey Mari....thank goodness Cuth answered your question about BFE...I had never heard of it before either till I moved here and met my friend Nancy....she has opened up a whole new world of uh....."interesting" terminology for me, LOL!! And rafting trip #2 is on the horizon....August 27th....vibrating begins.....

Cuth...hmm, a realtor? I can see where you'd get that idea, but nope! I'm not! I'm a social worker for the state of Oregon, hence the home visits... the BFE trips are actually kinda fun, on a nice day...don't like em much though in the snow, or when I get hopelessly lost and have to give up...and dontcha know, those are usually the times when the client doesn't have a phone so I can't call for more directions...life goes on.......

DCK...very cool news! Congrats!

I saw the news last night..the network ran a special about his career...RIP Peter Jennings....

chelle....7 more days..............

We miss ya Joe!!
