Cuth I figured that would get you goin!!! :) I know I don't show it here too much (except at Cheese) but I like pushin buttons. NASCAR being an easy button gets pushed a lot. Somethin about watchin people drivin in ovals, waitin for people to die, sippin moonshine, while sharing a tooth just ain't my bag.

OK I threw the FRETLASER on stage for Joe back in 2002 FL.. No it was not meant to improve his playing. HELLO... IT looks intense on the guitar because it projects laserlight onto the hands and fingertips and makes an intense HANDS ON FIRE effect. Thought he would try it out since Steve Via did the lasers on the hand thing a while back. You can see it at www.fretlord.com

Enjoy.

Hi, I'm from the country of Belize in Central America. Not many people here know of Mr Satriani, and the closest thing I have to seeing him live is the G3 live in Denver DVD. I was wondering, in the song "searching", at the 8 min mark Joe plays a very very nice riff. Can anyone tell me how to produce that effect in the riff?

Stacy: Hi, nice to see you around! Hope you are having a great summer.

All Hail Clarky!.... Clarky Maximus!..... Hail Clarky!!........Missed you Clarky. You have mail, that package I meant to send ages ago. Hope you like it!

Michelle: Looks like I'm not headed out to Lancaster this weekend. I'm probably going to a family reunion in NY along the Hudson River on Sunday. September is better anyway, this month is sooo damn busy! Yesterday was a suck ass day, 2 other people I know died. One had been one of my patients but he was also a fellow employee. (security guard) He died of pancreatic cancer. The other was one of the cashiers from the cafeteria ("cutie pie"). She was having a procedure to find gallstones (ERCP) and was under anesthesia and she "coded" went into cardiac arrest! She hasn't passed yet but will soon. She's on a ventilator and brain dead from lack of oxygen. It only takes minutes.......What a shame!! You never know....... Today Dana Reeves ( Christopher Reeve's widow) announced that she has lung cancer! I pray that God will help her fight it and win.

Hi Tune :)

Keniko, the only way to listen to country music is under the influence of alcohol. lol! Things are good here. I take my son to see ZZ Top tomorrow. Looking forward to it. It'll be our first time seeing them. It should rock!

Mari, congrats on the Godmother gig :) That's sweet. So sorry to hear about your two friends. Man that sucks. I heard about Dana Reeves. What a kick in the nuts that is man! So sad. I hope she has a 100% recovery! She seems like such a good soul.

Jazzmme, are you feeling as old as I am? lol! All the greats are retiring and in the FHOF, and they're only in their 40's. lol! Joe has posted lots. Click on the BLUE Joe Messages box above. Page three is his latest posts.

civgeek, glad the cat is okay :) Best wishes to sis in law too.

Tastey's in the house!!!

VFR, sorry for the novel. LOL! Good luck :)

Clarky, The name sounds a bit familiar...from a long time ago. I do remember muscular calves...

Julie, congrats to your bro and his wife!

Has anyone heard anything about a Mike Portnoy DVD called Prime Cuts by Mike Portnoy?

http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=6876231&style=music&cart=263734030

The one review said Mike had said it was released without his permission. Anybody got the scoop on that one? It only has a one star rating and if it isn't out with Mike's blessing it sounds kinda shady. I don't want to buy crap.

Anybody own Progressive Drum Concepts? That has a 5 star rating and sounds much better. Any good?

Enchuahua?!? That's great!

I find all motor racing disturbing, as most of the "action" is when a vehicle goes past another one, yet the highlights are always big stacks and people caning themselves.

Most other sports the highlights are what the "action" is. You don't see TV ads for football being guys landing on their ankles wrong or busting their legs, it's always big marks, great goals or awesome play.

Sure driving at high speed is a buzz, but watching it is different. You don't really see a lot of skill from the outside.

Don't know anything about those DVDs. I don't have many, nor do I know anyone who has musician ones.

Ok!! I've been listening to the song "Searching" for the past 3 hours... Now, I must learn how to play this song! Does anyone have the tabs for this song? All the tabs that I've found is on a 7 string guitar. Does Joe actually play this on a 7 string? Also, I'm thinking of getting the ZOOM 707 II multieffects pedal. I want to experiment with different sounds so as to add a new dimension to my playing. Do you guys think this device would actually improve playing? http://www.instrumentpro.com/P-ZOO7072?source=froogle Check out the pedal here. I want to get something good and worthwhile. Any other suggestions on other good multieffect pedals out there?

Bill
