You are like WAY OUT THERE MAN! Where in the world do you get your ideas????

I have read some pretty interesting stuff before, but nothing like yours. As Frasier said to Cliff in Cheers, "What color is the sky in you world"?

Please do not take this negatively, we need more far out imaginations in this world.

Bravo, Keep it up

hi, this is my first time to post... and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say! so I guess I'll start by telling you why a flutist is now a member to a rock guitarist site... well about 5 months ago I started to date a guitarist and he was one who showed me exactly how wonderful Joe really is! After I listened to just one song I got goose bumps sept.. for my boy friend they tend to bring him to tears! earlier this year he had emailed Joe for some advice on his picking styles but he never got a response and because I'm not a guitarist I'm not sure exactly what style he needed help with but not ever getting a reponce kinda broke his heart, he kinda has this dream to become one of the best and I wanna be able to help him so if there is any thing you could tell me to help him I would be really appreciate... thank you.... Update~~~ just to let all of you know who are interested, yesterday Alexandre had a recording session with Adrian Johnson... very good sounds and ideas where exchanged and I cant wait to hear their collaboration... Tonight we went to see a concert with Low Millions (good) Collective Soul (could have been astounding if only the sound was better) and Howard Jones (what the hell? how did this guy get added to the bill? left part way through the second song... Horrible!) Tomorrow off to the dragon boat festival and then the airport... :(

Hope that all is well with everyone in Satchland...

juju and alexandre sends his love to everyone and will see you soon...

stevee, nope, no idea where they got the number from. Like I said, the only thing online or off that I think was unsecure was that cd I bought. Could be anything though. Sneeky bastards!

edit: Davey & Capt. Steve, "michelle and wolfie sitting in a tree!!!!" um please...don't go there. lmmfao!!!

off to bed!

southernbelle, like Steve T said, there's lots of cool folks here who can help. If his question was directed only at Joe then the chances are we wouldn't have interfered, and Joe doesn't get much time to post and doesn't usually answer general guitar-technique questions, I guess cause he knows we've all got it covered! Anyway, tell your boyfriend to get his ass back on here and we'll see if we can sort out his picking technique! :-)

Also, welcome to t2j!

aussieRGman, I know exactly what you mean about being completely stumped for any ideas for a lead part! I had the same trouble the other day....came up with ace rhythm guitar parts but couldn't find something to complement them! Arrgggh, it's so frustrating! These are the occasions when I dearly wish I could write lyrics!

Redhead Babies

After their baby was born, the panicked father went to see the obstetrician.

"Doctor," the man said, "I don't mind telling you, but I'm a little upset because my daughter has red hair. She can't possibly be mine."

"Nonsense," the doctor said. "Even though you and your wife both have black hair, one of your ancestors may have contributed red hair to the gene pool."

"It isn't possible," the man insisted. "This can't be, our families on both sides had jet-black hair for generations."

"Well," said the doctor, "let me ask you this. How often do you have intimacy?

The man seemed a bit ashamed. "I've been working very hard for the past year. We only made love once or twice every few months."

"Well, there you have it!" The doctor said confidently. "It's rust."

Hey Plum, I recommend the boss digital delay pedal. That thing sounds wonderful coupled with a digital reverb pedal by boss also. Joe, come to Guam!!! Playing guitar just plain feels good when you nail down the lick that you hear in your head. Especially when the lick is like very difficult. Good riffing to all the shredders out there.

i have the boss dd-3, i didnt need the extra featrures of the dd-6, But in all fairness, the dd-3 isnt the most versatile delay but its reliable and gets the job done well :)

Plum Loco......I use a Boss DD-5, and honestly it's a bit much. It's nice to have all the different options that come with it, but I really only keep it at one setting all the time when I'm playing live. Occasionally I'll tweak the overall effect "level" but thats about it. In short, I probably could have gone with a DD-2 or something a little less fancy....could have saved myself $50 too.

aussieRGman...come back to it, or try a different approach, different effect, different instrument...happens to me to!

Plum Loco...try as many effect pedals as you can...then check your ears & your wallet...GT6 for me...GT8 looks like it has more to offer though...
