KA GIRL.....your right...I think I'll buy some drugs from fenderboy333 that Brother al told him to start selling...NOT!! You totally missed my point,,which was,,,,,,,So many people ask & beg Joe to come to their town to play. He cant get to every town especially when he's not even on tour. If you would look at the ROAD section you would see that. PLUS..there has been no mention of an up comming tour to date. ANDD,,like I said in my post..(NOT TO SOUND RUDE) that means I was not trying to be rude. I guess you will have to be patient and wait for tour dates like the rest of us. In the meantime,,support Joe and BUY A DVD..CHILLIN OUT IN CALIFORNIA,,DA KOOK

Did anyone check out that link to The Killers that I posted earlier? Does anyone like them?

Jaszzmme - "One thing I can say about Long Beach is that it grows on you."

It certainly does. I love it here. I heard a few years ago that Long Beach is the most racially diverse city in the United States...that's very cool.

petrucci js - Yeah, we were at the same Collective Soul show. I know they filmed it, but I didn't think it was for a DVD. I heard that video of a song or two from that show is up on their website, but I haven't been over there in a while.

I was also at the Satch show in Ventura...cool. Get in touch with me next time Joe plays in the area...we'll have to meet up at a gig.

962 - The first third of Bloom is my favorite, too...but the whole album is awesome. I love the track Columbia...it's a tribute to the astronauts who died on that shuttle a few years ago, but I like it because it almost sounds "happy" (in contrast too Contact Lost, Steve Morse's tribute to the shuttle that appeared on Deep Purple's Bananas). I think it's a unique way to remember that crew...it's very cool.

When I saw EJ live back in January, he played four songs that would eventually be released on Bloom. He played a few other "new" songs back then, too. One of my favorites was Imagination...I was a bit disapointed that it didn't make the album. Hopefully I'll get to hear it again some day...it was a great song. It was a pop song, but it was a "smart" pop song, if that makes any sense (I would also consider Your Sweet Eyes from Bloom to be a "smart" pop song). I hope that isn't too confusing...haha.

Zinc Master - I saw U2 twice back in early April...they were awesome.
michelle - "moog sounds very familiar, but I'm not sure what he made. Keys, pedals?"

He was a synthesizer guy. Think Rick Wakeman / Yes.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4179350.stm

SALTS - That would be Stu Hamm.
kurde - Joe may have used a whammy pedal for those parts.

...Austin...

Austin and anyone else who's seen the GIGANTOUR ~

I'm going on Saturday and I was wondering how the bands were lined up. The venue I'm going to only has one stage, and the show starts at 4:00. Does Megadeth and DT come on at the end??

Thanks :)

OCPS are you trying to encourage us to commit copyright theft? '-) Main riff is F# natural minor with the F# as a pedal tone. Verse is open A chugging under an A major chord to an E major chord to a D major chord.... bridge and chorus are wonderfully full of fills and natural harmonics and stuff... HTH!
Steevee TBH I'm not sure... need to get with dck....
mom and Austin Bob Moog was more than that! He *was* early Rush, he *was* early Genesis, he *was* Supertramp, etc they wouldn't have been *them* without him!

FenderBoy333, You had a question earlier to Joe regarding his guitar origins...You should invest in a great DVD called The Satch Tapes...I picked it up at my local Borders Book Store for like $15! In it, Joe talks about his guitar roots and stuff and there are even a few music videos on it that are just rockin'! To me it was very motivational, I guess. Anyway, it's a good investment, and it will answer many questions you have about Joe. While I'm here, hey everyone, Cheese, Al, Civgeek, DeathCube, JoeMan7, Michelle, ........uh, sorry, my brain just squeezed out all it could at midnight. Sorry if I didn't mention you, but Hi anyway. I haven't posted in quite some time. The chat's been dead the past few evenings...What gives?!?

michelle - The lineup was something like this for my show:

2nd stage - Boba Flex
2nd stage - Dry Kill Logic
2nd stage - Dillinger Escape Plan
1st stage - Nevermore
2nd stage - Symphony X
1st stage - Fear Factory
2nd stage - Life Of Agony
1st stage - Dream Theater
1st stage - Megadeth

The second stage was a side stage set up in the concessions area. So even if your venue only has one stage (as most do), the show will have a two-stage setup unless you heard otherwise from somewhere. If there will only be one stage, none of the second-stage acts will be at your show.

There was next to no downtime between bands on different stages. Like, one band would stop and the next would start within 30 seconds. So if you're at one stage and don't want to miss the start of the next band on the other stage, leave when the first band introduces their last song.

If you don't want to make the concert an all-day thing, you won't be missing much if you skip the first three or four bands. They wasn't really anything special about any of them. Symphony X is a must-see, though...especially if you like Dream Theater. So you can get to the show an hour or so late if you want, but not much later than that.

I think Dream Theater started at about 7:00, although their intro music started about five minutes early. They played for about 90 minutes (including an encore break), there was a short break for a set change, and then Megadeth played for about 90 minutes.

That's probably more than you wanted to know, huh? Oh well...

PhryDom - "Bob Moog was more than that!"

Oh, I know. But if you mention more than one band, you have to mention ALL of them... ;-) The list is endless. I can't begin to imagine what the music world would have been like without him.

TheWheelMan - Hi... :-)

Austin, yeah that all made sense! I didn't know Morse had done a tribute too....I'd like to hear that. The key changes and melody changes that EJ put in "Columbia" are just amazing, and some of them still surprise it even though I've heard it many times!

Hi Joe,

would be great to see you in Germany. Can you tell about tourdates for 2006 or maybe for 2005 in Germany? Is a G3 Tour planned for Germany with Yngwie? Would be cool to hear "Cryin'" and "If I Could Fly" on stage!

Greetings Benni.

I have one of Strypers old tapes - In God We Trust - I liked it - I have listened to their old ones at one time or another - but at the time didn't have the cash for them (back then).

I may pick up the new one - depends on the day.

I like The Killers - I have got their cd on my iPod right now - their song, Somebody Told Me is really cool.

I agree, the U2 concert was great - I was very entertained - even though we got crap seats through their fan club.
