PTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHBBBBBBB!
Unlike u, who is prolly at work using their computer to try to insult me, I happen to be home on my deathbed...or at least, it feels like it...
I assure you, should u ever need the services of the State of Oregon, someone, somewhere will be happy to oblige...and commit you to the nearest secure facility.....I shall happily pay my taxes just fer that reason!! LOL!!! Until then, good luck with your new band....and have fun while you can...... ;)
Luv, yer adoring cheese............................. hehehe...

Here goes nothing....
Hi Joe, I have been a loyal fan since 1987 when I first heard surfing...
You sure rocked my imagination man! before that, I didn't even know that could be done on an electric guitar! There is something magical about the liricism of your songs, the way they open up dream worlds for my imagination to feast upon. Even when you have always been deemed a shredder, you are much more than that. Even when Surfing with the alien was your showcase all out guitar album, I could close my eyes and see what you meant on each song. you are an important part of my life even if you don't know it, so I guess that's why I'm writing this message, to let you know about it.
Thanks for your music, for the inspiration and for the always refreshing ride, album after album.
Denes from Puerto Rico

How are going joe? I know you have a lot of people to answer back to, so if I get a response back from you I would be more than appreciative and over the moon, because I really want make a career out music and are a big fan of yours, as is my father. We went and seen you at the Forum in Melbourne, Australia this year and both my father and I thought you were more than fantastic. To play two & a half hours full on with only a 15 min. break was extraudinary. I have seen a lot bands and concerts in Melbourne eg. Yngwie Malmsteen, Metallica, Motley Crew and Ozzy, but yours was by far the best. We stood in front of the P.A guy and were mesmorized with the energy and atmoshere you created , you are truely the best!!! The questions I would like to ask is mainly; which are the best ways to progress with the guitar and what are the best methods to get my playing to it's full potentional? I have been playing now for 15 years mainly playing rock/metal and have now this year started a certificate 4 in a jazz course to open my mind to other forms of music. I have started to learn the keyboard, as the music teachers have suggested so I can learn my theory a lot better and give me more clarity. But I really would like know what you think, because I would love to be as good a players as yourself and stevie vai. Sorry to ask Joe, but how and what methods did you use to teach Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett? Because I would love to use those techniques to enhance myself. Who knows Joe our paths might meet one day and I could personally ask you them myself and hopefully my dad as well. He is 60 years old now but he loves you and little Stevie Vai, he and I collect all of yourself and Stevie's albums. So hopefully I hope and strive to pass this course so I can go for my diploma of the performing arts next year. We hope to see you again down here in Melbourne, Australia. I would just like to add that we missed Stevie's concert and were really dissappointed, so I hope to see him down here again so we can see him the 'masters apprentice' dad calls him. We love both you guys, so keep on keeping on I'm signing out for now. SEE YA JOE AND ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR FUTURE ENDEVOURS, GOOD ON YA MATE!!!!!

Hey Cheese101
Nice to meet ya too, and you can jump in anytime.
So your 17 year old is clean cut, that is funny, I was too growing up, AND I WAS TOTALLY INTO HEAVY METAL AND HARD ROCK!!! You would not know it to look at me, everyone thought I was into Barry Manilow because I was clean cut with short hair, but I rocked out on Judas Priest, Ratt, Dokken, Scorpions, Van Halen ETC ETC..... I still rock out to that music, and from time to time, I still listen to smooth jazz. You know age!!!! I still do not have long hair, or an ear ring, or even a tatoo, but I would love to get a tatoo of the Seattle Seahawks logo around my arm, sorry, die hard fan.
Thanks for the heads up on the lingo.

Thanks for the heads up, yes! I am a little concerned about my daughter's interests, but my wife and I feel that it is just a phase, only because she is also into barbie dolls, and whatever shows are on the Disney Channel.
My wife and I give our children freedom to choice as long as it does not consume or destruct their lives. We do the preaching thing about no drugs, no drinking, no smoking because we do not do those things ourselves.
We believe in giving our children love and support, and to help guide them whenever they need it.
As for my daughter, I will hang on for the ride, and I will be there till the ride stops.

Thanks for the "welcome back"s, everyone... It's good to see a lot of familiar faces here (still)...
I feel like I have a million things to say to everyone here. Instead of making a bunch of huge posts now, I'll try to spread everything out over the next few days. Here is something now, though...
I started working at Circuit City about six weeks ago (yeah, being a journalist doesn't pay very well...haha). It's a bit slow sometimes, but I love working with CDs, DVDs, and video games. I have fun alphabetizing the CDs in such a way that the good ones (Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Rush, Frank Zappa, etc.) always find their way to the front of the displays. ;-)
It's also cool because every now and then someone will ask me a question about something, and I realize that there is still hope for the future. ;-) About a month ago this girl who was maybe 14 came up to me and said she couldn't find a CD with the song "Help!" on it...she looked through all of John Lennon's CDs, but couldn't find it. I told her it was a song by The Beatles, not John Lennon...I gave her the "Help!" album, and her face really lit up as she looked at the racks and racks of other CDs we had by The Beatles and realized how big that band is. Awesome.
Next time I'm here (later today/Wednesday), I'll post a few music-related things...I'll tell everyone about the concerts I've been to and the new bands I've discovered over the past few months.
For those who are interested in my work at the paper, I'll get a few links together to share with everyone here...
JS JS - Hey there... When do you start school?
Jaszzmme - Hi... I live right off the traffic circle in Long Beach...just a few minutes from CSULB. I start my fifth (and final) year there Monday. Where in Long Beach did you live?
...Austin...

infidelinc, hahaha, this - "Sort of like a cross between Obiwan Kenobi and Tyler Durden" - is hilarious! And in my book of 'tyler's best lines' you will find those immortal words, "Bob had bitch-tits". hehe, great movie.
Anyway, where can I find his "Stimulator" stuff? I don't particularly want to do a web-search on "stimulator" cause I'll have to sift through 12,000 pages of sex toys and porn before I find Mr Tyson!
I did find T-Ride on amazon-usa, but living in the UK that makes it tricky to get hold of.
edit: I found stimulator. Google turned up Tyson's personal website rather more easily than I expected! Looks like he's doing pretty well for himself. I checked out an mp3 sample and it's kinda cool (stimulator, I mean) but I'm not sure I'll buy it. What was Snake River Conspiracy like?
Austin, I saw that "the connextion" are now selling "Electromagnets", so now everyone can easily get a copy! Yesss!
