cuthbert, haha, yeah I know man, some of the stretches he was playing really p*ss*d me off...my fingers aren't actually long enough to reach them!
Delfino, that's so weird dude....AGP is more common than DDR Ram. If your PC is that young you should be able to change just the motherboard and keep everything else, since DDR1 boards are still easily available; DDR2 is still a 'deluxe' level item, and DDR3 is only just having it's toes dipped in the water.

Cuth - That was my exact thought when I saw that pic. There's no way in hell that should be legal
Michelle Glad you had a good time. I'm really bummed DT is off the tour when it gets here. I may go anyway just for MD but we'll see. I am going to Tower of Power and Santana next month. Both of those should be very cool.
Castle - How's the Oregon house hunt goin? There are some nice places for sale in my neighborhood if you want to live closer in to Portland.

Hey Joe, i'll get my almost sickly gushing praise out of the way first as succinctly as possible. Your abilities and music have been a huge inspiration for me ever since i started learning guitar seriously. I also have admiration for the fact you never seem to sacrifice melody for the sake of technique, unlike a lot of other mainly instrumental guitarists i've listened to.
Anyways on to my questions, firstly are there any plans in the pipeline to release a production of the 7 string oil finished JS prototype you been photographed with (and presumably recorded some of the guitar tracks on 'Seven Strings' with) and other than the extra string in what ways does it spec vary from a normal JS?
Secondly, i own a 91' Ibanez Radius 540ltd similar in spec to the early JS1's. It's loaded with Ibanez USAs like you had on the Ibanez's you played in vids prior to getting the JS sig sorted. What was your opinion of these pickups and did you choose to upgrade them to full DiMarzios as soon as you endorsement was arranged? Also in what ways did you change the body spec from the Radius design when creating the JS?
Finally is there any possibility of either Andy Timmons or Charlie Hunter joining you and Steve on a future G3 tour as i think both would compliment the lineup extremely well.
Thanks for your time, i realise it's unlikely you're gonna have the spare time to reply to this, but hopefully you get a chance to have a read of it.

THE LUNCH DATE
The following is a synopsis of a 10-minute movie that won an Academy Award
in the short film category one year...
An older woman, smartly dressed, checking the clock in Grand Central
Station. She finds her ticket in her purse only to discover that her wallet
has been stolen. First scared and then annoyed, she scrounges for a few
bills in the bottom of her purse, finds the cafeteria, buys a cobb salad,
settles into her booth with her lunch, then she realizes she forgot her
fork.
So she leaves her packages and salad to return only to find a very large,
disheveled man in her booth eating her lunch. She is indignant. But he
doesn't seem to notice. Determined, she sits down at the table, picks up her
fork and stabs at the salad; he does the same, each taking a turn till
they're done. Finally the man leaves, only to return again with coffee, two
cups of coffee, and they end their meal in polite silence. He is the first
to leave.
She looks at her watch; it's time for her to catch her train. She reaches
for her packages and discovers they're gone!! - And then her eye wanders to
the next booth, where her packages sit along with her cobb salad, untouched!
I wonder how many times I've been forgiven; I wonder how many times I've
been forgiven and not even known that I needed to be.

Phrydom- So are you enjoying living in Atlanta? We would love to emigrate from England one day, although I think I would choose Italy... you never know, one day it could happen!
Hope all is well out there!

Civ - The Oregon hunt continues. However so does full time employment in our current locale. I am interested in Portland. NW Portland is the nicest? It's a large area. My most current trip there (2001) I went to a software class in Tigard. I saw a little of downtown. Not enough to get my bearings. My husband says if JS plays there it's good. I have also been looking in Brookings, Newport and Florence. The move is up to six years away. We have a series of things we need to do before the move. Looking forward to it. Pine trees and rain.

Castle I live in a weird little triangle of un incorporated Washington County. We are bordered by Tigard, Beaverton and Portland. We do have lots of Pine trees and rain. Lots of Accounting jobs up here. *hint hint* I haven't been to the southern coast but I here it's nice. I just can't live in a small town. We live on a busy road and I get asked if the noise bothers me. And I'm like "No way it's soooooothing." I can't stand the quiet. It makes me nervy. But we do have large lots around us lots of tall trees and you have no idea that you are only 10 minutes from downtown. So it's really the best of both worlds. The best thing about being up here is all the green space. Lots of parks. The one close to us has the standard park stuff, play ground, baseball fields, off leash dog area... then you walk over a creek and you're in the middle of a forest. With fir and cedar trees 100 -150 feet tall. All this in the middle of an urban area. Totally cool. Well enough Portland pimping. If you have any questions let me know.

...weather-wise it's been kinda weird... i rode to work at around 1400 and it was warm and sunny... during my shift it rained *a lot* and so many (most!) of the dogs didn't even want to go outside... as i finished my shift it was raining pretty scarily so i got a (n offered) ride home with my bike... i hope tomorrow is easy cycling! it's really bad what happened further south... apparently some tornadoes touched down locally today... and tomorrow is supposed to be worse.... yuck... i actually have on a long sleeve shirt at the mo!!! earlier today i guess the rain was coming down sideways, upwards, backwards and all over the place... freaky....
delfino are you sure the graphics card you need isn't also available in AGP? i mean you can get AGP cards in 256MB these days... surely that'd be enough? even for 3d stuff....?
Suzie the weather is HOT! Except in hurricane season, which I guess started yesterday! It's fun... people are nice... even the crackheads lmao.... emigrating to Italy is, imho, a damn fine idea! The food is excellent, the coffee is even better, there's some beautiful scenery and, from what I experienced, the people are AWESOME! Do it! Don't wait until you're like 80 years old and you say to yourself "I wish I had tried that".... do it now, so you'll never wonder :-) Even if it doesn't work out, that question won't be nagging you when it's too late to try it! :-)
zinc gmail is now open to all (in the US at least). just thought I'd mention that. I too have tons of invites if zinc is full and other non-US people are interested.... email away!
TurkeyMan27 the release date, as described quite clearly on the recent news post, is October 25... May 8th is when it was filmed... either way the next May 8th is *not* "more than a year" from now... :-/
laters.... need to smoke one... man i need a winter coat! lol
take care everyone in Katrina's projected path... I'm pretty certain it's much worse for you than it is for me
EDIT: I got the email link wrong. D'oh!

Davey, I was going to post to you to see if you were okay. I was checking the Atlanta weather on www.weather.com, and it said the winds were still fierce. Watch out the the coming storms. They can be just as nasty. If it's thundering and lightning, stay inside! lol! I just can't help being a mom. LOL! Take care honey!!
Civ, T.O.P. and Santana should be cool. I heard something about Santana having his crew "read", and anyone with bad energy was let go of their position. Damn, I wish I could do that at work. LOL!
I'm taking my headache to bed now. Night peeps!

juju, haha, when I read your post about "steering clear of Katrina" I thought you were talking about a dodgy messageboard-member who I'd completely failed to notice! Then when I saw PhryDom saying about "keeping out of Katrina's path" I made the link!
Hope everyone's doing okay out there anyway. Last week a fairly sizeable typhoon was heading towards Tokyo.....anybody got any news on that?

There probably is a AGP alternative, but I've only got PCI slots so I'm kinda stuck. Theres been a change of plan anyway now. No new PC, I'm getting the best PCI card available, 2GB of RAM and a TV-card for uni. So it's not going to cost as much leaving money over towards my amps for a christmas present.
If I feel like it I might go out later as the weather is gorgeous right now and get a new cable to go from my line-in to my effects processor...my last one was quite old when I got it and its on its way out now...then I can do my instrumental/metal cover of yellow submarine...just for the sake of it lol.
