michelle, cool, thanks for checking out the photos! I'm enjoying having a decent camera to play with!
I tried snowboarding once! I was crap at it....nearly died, so I switched to skiing which I found far easier!
But yeah, if you used to skateboard, you should be fairly ok with snowboarding....you'd just find that it's very easy to quickly pick up a lot of speed, and the technique for slowing down/stopping is completely different!
OCPS470, I will be borrowing one at some point to record some stuff that needs shifting. I've heard that it's very good at 5th and octave shifts......it's no eventide, but I understand it's about as good as you'll get before the step up to spending 2 grand on a rack effect!
It's meant to be pretty easy to use though, and maintains a decent tone.

hello Joe, ive been a pretty big fan of your music ever since my guitar teacher introduced me to your music, i find it very inspiring to the direction that some of my own music has gone in, i started working on an album awhile back and when i heard your music i really started trying some more instrumental style music, and ive fallen in love with it, its absolutely by far more enjoyable to me, i feel as though i can be more creative with it. i dont really expect any kind of answer or response from you but i have never really posted anything on the internet in hopes of someone i look up to getting to read it, so i just figured why not, it couldnt hurt to try, so if you do by chance read this and respond, thats cool and maybe if youve got the time check out some of my music on www.purevolume.com/chasesteeleandhimself ive got an official site to www.chasesteele.tk but thats not really running well, the guy thats supposed to be working on it since i cant do html for crap has been slacking.
maybe ill post again someday.. maybe not, but if you see this, keep up the good work man, you are an inspiration

I think Souls of Distortion is one of the best instrumental rock songs ever written! I can't stop listening to it. Every time, I hear something different in it. Hey Joe!!! Stop making these songs so damn good will ya! Then I can get away from my CD player and focus on actually playing. Just kidding. Again, thanks for talking to us at the G3 show in Boston with Yngwie and Dr. Vai. You are a true gentleman.

cheese, a day for remembering - it was also 4 years ago on the 9th that my nieces husband Bryan died in a car accident. Then Sept. 11. Add Katrina. I'm trying to forget. Didn't get out of my bed this morning till after I said a long-ass prayer.
Disaster overkill man. Bring on Octoberfest!
I just saw a spot on TV where Dana Reeves was wearing a Superman "S" dogtag that reads "Go Foreword".
Good idea, eh?

Buddha, Buy 'Strange and Beautiful Music'.
I'm curious about this line of JS Gear that popped up while I was gone....does joe actually use it, or is he endorsing it? Personally....if he went all those years making all those sounds we've come to love him for without them....then....as musicians.....how necessary are they? I like my marshal stack and my les paul, thank you.
