Any of you gearheads out there looking to hone in on Joes rig/live set up? This months issue of Guitarist magazine has an interview with Joe, a profile of the JS Signature guitars and a few pics of his pedals where you can see all the settings.
I -ahem- borrowed Joes setting for the DS-1 pedal and tried it at rehearsal last night - wow! We ran through a few new songs and the sustain was totally Spinal Tap (I could have gone and made a cup of tea, come back and the guitar was still ringing sort of thing!).
Looking forward to the new G3 dvd!

Signs a Romance Novel Has Been Plagiarized
5> Chapter in which a scantily-clad Desiree clings to the sinewy
Roberto and recites a list of ways he can tell if he might be
a redneck.
4> The author? Danielle Steal.
3> The publisher? Kinko's.
2> Hero's frequent calls of "Adrian!!" seem to ring a bell.
and the Number 1 Sign a
Romance Novel Has Been Plagiarized...
1> Heartbreaking passage in which all four female leads are
dumped -- as Jack slips out the back, Stan makes a new plan,
Roy becomes inexplicably coy and Gus heads for the bus depot.

How many members of the Bush administration does it take to change a light bulb?
1. One to deny that a light bulb needs to be changed;
2. One to attack the patriotism of anyone who says the light bulb needs to be changed;
3. One to blame Clinton for burning out the light bulb;
4. One to tell the nations of the world that they are either for changing the light bulb or for eternal darkness;
5. One to give a billion dollar no-bid contract to Halliburton for the new light bulb;
6. One to arrange a photograph of Bush, dressed as a janitor, standing on a step ladder under the banner 'Bulb Accomplished';
7. One administration insider to resign and in detail reveal how Bush was literally 'in the dark' the whole time;
8. One to viciously smear No. 7;
9. One surrogate to campaign on TV and at rallies on how George Bush has had a strong light-bulb-changing policy all along;
10. And finally, one to confuse Americans about the difference between screwing a light bulb and screwing the country."
HUM - 1999 posts - what should be the 2000th post
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Good Mornin' Satchland..... How are you peoples.......
Lucy......Thanks back.
Aussie......No problem Bro.... Chin up and keep the faith.
Sugarbaby....... I'm 1/2 Italian from my mom's side and 1/2 Swedish from.....(you guessed it) dad's side. I remember the Holidays when I was a kid. We'd have all the relatives over to the house. My mom had two kitchens and the food would be cookin'..... OH MY GOD ! ! ! ! the food was outstanding. The relatives would be upstairs yelling and screaming in Italian and the siblings would be downstairs shaking our heads and laughing. When we ate......funny how quiet it got......until the food was gone .....than back to business. It was quite amusing but I love those memories. I miss my mom's cookin' alot. She was a fantastic cook....God rest her soul. Take care.
Have A Great Day Everybody ! ! ! !

Zenfish:Bad day at the office ol bro?lol. Have to say friend if it wasnt for Joe,Vai and the many thousands that have gifted me with such great music over the years, i,d probably still be a car mechanic dreaming "maybe i could have tried harder"
Being motivated by hearing such work has brought me round the world meeting great people, teaching, touring & recording with some really incredible musicians some who i consider to be way, way more talented than me.I expect nothing from anyone, least of all Joe or Steve
Its an amazing feeling to be able to make music that moves people to want to listen or buy your music, no money can buy that, no words can summarize, so i must end this by saying:
Thanks Mr Joe Satriani for the inspiration over the years thats helped evolve my understanding of music & the thousands of others its sure to! Power to ya, Rock On!

There is such a thing as absolute, shining grace in this world, and today I have been fortunate to meet several people who have it.....
One, a lovely couple, she with an inoperable brain tumor, he in liver failure, frequent dialysis and both know their time is very short. They laugh over their conditions and wonder who will be the first to go, all the while looking at each other with complete love and devotion. I am unable to help them with our programs even with these circumstances for reasons not to go into here...and yet.......they sincerely thanked me for coming and blessing them today with my visit. Their faces were radiant with love, peace and acceptance...and I cried as I drove away, frustrated that there was nothing I could do for them.
Two, a single, vivacious and exceedingly cheerful woman with a horrible, disfiguring and extremely painful disease. She worries much about others and how they fare in the world and wishes she had more to give...when in truth, monetarily she has little...but her spirit just shines from her ravaged body and she gives solace and comfort to everyone around her. She is a younger woman who isn't afraid to meet death head on, but plans on living her life to the fullest until it's her time to go. I am able to help her, a little....
She too, thanks me for my visit and tells me how I helped cheer up her day...and again I cried as I drove away, feeling overwhelmed with the experience....
.....I wish I had an ounce of the grace and dignity these people have....and I feel so fortunate to have met them......
**hugs to everyone out there...**

Anybody know anything about Classical guitars? What are some good brands that a mere mortal can afford, without the need of a second mortgage (or first, in my case...)?

cheese....Thanks for sharing what you experienced today. I am very moved by your words. It's hard to see as I write this. I'm most likely the biggest woose on this forum. LOL.... But I'm a rightous person who's very much in touch with his feelings. I've paid dearly for that and I'm not going into what that means....just trust me on that one. You have a lot more grace and dignity then you think. You can't feel what you wrote and wrote what you feel without these qualities in yourself. Take care.
