hi! do you know why computers annoy me? it's because there are so many restrictions and it annoys me especially on the school computers. i tried to upload some songs onto my school com because i get really bored in I.T. the upload went fine but it didn't let me play the songs. can n e one imagine the annoyance that you feel when your computer won't do what you want it to do?

gotta have Joe: Better start saving your money Kayla.......Joe charges $50,000 for a performance like that. I was at his last Keswick show and someone asked Mick his manager how much it would cost to have JOe play at their party. I asked him to repeat that so I heard it correctly......I better start buying lottery tickets so I can have him come and play for me! LOL

Michelle: Tits Up!! "I'll have whatever she's having please"..... Cheers! lmao I hope you and the family liked the tape.

Brotheral: i know u love me.....lol ; D

Cheese101 and Keniko: I'm so happy to share great footage of JOe with you both. Knew you were going to love it!! : ) Traci have a great time at the show!! Tell JOe I said hello....

Slans: Hi Roy! What's new? I'll be in Glasgow soon....u from that part of Scotland? I'm taking the train to Newcastle for the next gig. Looking forward to the scenery. They had that posted as a correction on Vai.com I hope you can make it.

Badhuh: Doing fine thanks and you? I'm just really busy getting ready for my trip. So much to do.....got to be prepared.

Mari...Thanks again. Like I said I'll make a DVD out of it for you. I'll be upgrading to OSX "Tiger" soon so I'll have HD video in iMovie and iDVD. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I was hopin' it was Indigenous pics but this is sooooooo much better. I didn't expect this at all. Thanks again. It's awesome.

Hola.
I'm still alive.
I have been checking in every night to see what you all have been up to. It's good to hear that Joe's in the studio! I can't wait to hear it!
I've been trying to learn Spanish. It' s a lot of fun. I'm hoping to make a trip to Mexico. I've heard some horror stories though.
Been listening to Mana. A great band out of Mexico. They're super stars there.
Just keep doing what you're doing. I'll be lurking in the shadows!!!! LOL.

Climber Enjoy our beautiful language just as I enjoy yours, hope you went to see the Jaguares (jaguars) it's one of the bands that start what we call the latin rock, the band call EL TRI it's a rock blues band, they usually have urban lyrics. If you want to hear some great guitar players of latin america there is this guy call Alejandro Marcovich and also a band call Juanes. well and the clasics like Santana or Chamin Correa.

Dear Joe, I wanted to write to tell you about my brother Nathan. He's your biggest fan, all he did was listen to your music, watch your DVD's and learn your music.

Sadly he took his own life in May this year. I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you were to him and if it wasn't for your music we probably would've lost him a long time ago. I think that your music was an escape for him, a place that he could go to forget his troubles. He missed your show and signings in Perth this year, but was cremated with one of your books that my boyfriend got signed, something I think he would've loved.

You were his idol and the reason he continued playing guitar. The police told us that your CD was playing in the car when they found him, I know that he would've been relaxed and happy knowing that you'd be the last thing he'd hear . Starry Night was the song played at his funeral which he said was what he wanted.

Thankyou for being such an inspiration to Nathan without even knowing it.

Gemma.

Joe, and fans, I think it is time I wrote and let you know now much your music has helped me, so much in my life. In so many ways, in inspiring me as I wonder, look at the sea and sky, and how it can rescue our spirits, open traps, set us free and can show us that dream catching is not impossible, and that perfection is not always necessary at times in our life; in the highs and lows.

I’m also looking forward to your next array of songs, amazing licks and where you take us. You're a true force of hope, an inspiration, and you gotta know it by now Joe - thank you.

Keniko, thanks amigo! Yeah, I'm well pleased about it, I've wanted to do some guitar teaching in schools for ages, so this is my first step!

Yeah, I totally know what you mean about transcribing.....I started doing a simplified "A Train Of Angels" for some of my students last week. Afterwards I was trying to figure out some of the solo and it is so badass! haha. Also, I started looking at some Eric Johnson stuff a couple of moths back and just hit a brick wall, but it was definitely one of those moments where you're laughing in sheer disbelief/amazement that they really are playing what it sounds like they're playing! hehe. Good stuff!

js1200js1000, dude it sounds like you've given up on getting your money back?
Gemma, I don't know what to say other than "welcome", and thanks for sharing your story! Joe's music has provided an escape for a few of us, I'm sure, and is a great inspiration to many. We had "Always With Me, Always With You" played in memory of my Dad, at his funeral service just over 2 years ago, and none of us regret doing that, even if it is unconventional!

SteveeT - bro.. I'm getting good mixes now.... Clarky is a happy bunny... lol...

this comparative EQ thing is really working.....

did I mention that Envy [my RG7620] is in a custom shop getting a new body....
Amrican Alder with a real thick quilted maple top..
the tree that the top is made from grew up in Washington state - NW coast big leaf maple is widely regarded as the tipest topest quality by your regular exotic wood pervert..
the body will be translucent electric blue..
also, I'm having the headstock sorted to match the body..
this should be double cute when it's all done..

Slansh - after a real tough week even a pint of old spice would hit the spot... oops.. I'm showing my meffer heratige.. lmao..
how about a nice round of golf... but only on the 19th hole.. lol..
zen - I know what you mean about Fripp's dissonance being 'natural'.. it don't seem 'forced'.. yet it still has the qualitities to shock and surprise...
I think that the modern progers [Dream Theatre] try too hard... forcing the dissonance... losing the natural quality.. and replacing that with cheap thrills that are technical and technique centric....

sort of like an Imprezza STI... fast and furious....
but it lacks the class and style of a nice Aston Martin..

Artaud is an interesting and strange guy.... I need to learn more about him... he has an unusual outlook...

Malmsteen - oh yes... love him or hate him.. you cannot question his conviction and sheer energy....
looking back... I studied all the Malsmsteen stuff to learn to play fast.... but I learnt greater lessons that I maybe didn't appreciate at the time.. like playing to effect.. delivery with total commitment driven by raw passion...
and now for me today.. there is no other way to play...
although his style and vibe is different.. I think that the music of SRV comes from the same place within...
