Ozzy covers Lennon, Walsh on new album

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Newly recorded covers of John Lennon's "Woman," Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" and the Moody Blues' "Go Now" will be found on the Ozzy Osbourne collection "Under Cover," due November 1 as a Dualdisc.

The remaining 10 cuts of the Epic Records set were released earlier this year on the "Under Covers" disc of Osbourne's boxed set "Prince of Darkness."

Among them are Mountain's "Mississippi Queen," which features that band's guitarist, Leslie West, King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man," the Jeff Beck Group's "Hi Ho Silver Lining," Mott The Hoople's "All the Young Dudes" and the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil."

On the DVD side, fans will be treated to the featurette "Dinner With Ozzy and Friends," which finds him regaling his son Jack and Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister with tales of rock'n'roll excess. A video for Ozzy's cover of the Beatles' "In My Life" is also included.

suzie2000: I know how you feel Suzie. When I was growing up it was always a struggle to pay the bills. We just did without. It happened many times that we ran out of oil and had no hot water for days till somehow they came up with the money. Winters here are very cold and that's when we ran out........ I hope it's fixed so life can return to normal for you both. Happy 1000 by the way!! Won't be long now before I see Suzo and The Snaps! Woohoooo!

Bahduh: Steven sent me an email late last night.......He's doing Ok, hanging in there. All we can do is pray, he needs to take the big step....away from the drugs. I will try to call him again soon. I will also try when I'm in the UK so Matt and Suzie can say hello. Don't worry Mark, I know you care a great deal for Steven. I don't mind. Keep him in your prayers. OK? Steven will hopefully find his way back to himself / music and eventually to us.

alexandre: Thank you! No word from Eva "Dragonchild" in many months....I've sent her a few emails to all of the addys that I have in case she changed it and I don't know. I miss her......I know she's very busy! Just thought she would say hello, was hoping to hear from Mikey also. I sent him the Joe DVD too but never heard a word.......Oh well. :-(

Cheese101: Thanks so much Traci for sharing the weekend with us! Your photos were cool, I saw Mike Manning in the last few and Mick wearing a blue hat (it looked like Mick). Could you email me the details so I can let my friend in SF know for next year. Didn't write it down, Cohn Winery? something like that? Since it's an annual event I know she'll look for it next year. This has to be my worst month ever........ 2 days terrible! I'm a tough girlie, but Enough already. I leave in 8 days...been so busy getting ready and hopefully the rest I will have in place very soon. I can't wait!!

Mikesb: Don't worry Mike, maybe we'll catch up in chat another night. Better yet maybe we'll meet up in NYC for another great show....Thanks for the heads up on that show but I'm not leaving till next week. I'll be at London, Glasgow and Newcastle shows. I'm waiting to hear back on aftershow passes....fingers crossed!! Such a bummer that I'm going to miss 2 Frank Marino shows. I may head up to Quebec with Carol and Ray sometime to hangout with Frank. That'd be very cool.......I'd always wanted to visit there. And NO better people to hang with than native Canuks. lol Good luck with his highness YJM interview, hopefully you will not get trapped in his spandex after you ask him that question. LOL!

Shel: ;o) I thought it was perfect.

Cheese101 - Wish we'd known you were there!

We also catch Joe anytime it's possible. This is the second time we've seen him just a few miles from our house! Can't get any better than that.

We figured the 4/11/05 LBC show (got a guitar signed by Joe and a stick from Jeff) would be our last Joe gig of the year. Very cool he agreed last minute for this benefit show.

The BR Cohn shows are great because even our youngest (6 year-old) gets to see the man that brings so much joy in our house.

Now only if Rush would play here (so our youngest could see them) we'd have it made, lol!

On the heels of their just-issued Generations album, Journey will release the Live in Houston 1981 -- Escape Tour CD/DVD package Nov. 15. The vintage concert document, which was produced by former frontman Steve Perry, will include many previously unreleased performances. "This is probably one of [Perry's] best vocal performances ever," guitarist Neal Schon said in an interview with us Tuesday. Schon also revealed that after Journey finishes their current tour leg Sunday, they'll head back out on the road "for another month in November."

okie Im chaning the pickups in my RG1570L from the stocks to Dimarzio Paf pro and Fred.... Single is staying the same.

SO i open up the back of the Guitar for the wiring of the pickups and heres a wiring diagram of what i see

Click here for pickup wiring Diagram!

^^ the pic above is Just the pickup wiring and no other wiring is shown

theres other wires connected form the tone pot and other places to the volume pot too, But they dont directly seem to be connected to the pickup wiring in any way So i figured all the other wires are ok to leave alone!?

...and that i Just need to connect the wires from the new pickups to the exact same places as the old pickup wiring.....

SO is that right?

(+ in the diagram i have the wiring for the dimarzio pickups. - theres 5 wires on the dimarzio ones...

- Red - Black - White - Green - Bare

So the red stays the same...

Black and white are soldered together which will replace the White wire from the old pickups

Green and bare are soldered together to be grounded...

old pickups just have - Red, White and Bare wiring)

So i hope ANYONE managed to follow that! any helps appreciated

19 DAYS............

Hiya Mari...sorry you're in pain....what's going on? You've gotta get better before your big trip!! The benefit concert was at the BR Cohn winery and they do it every year in late September or early October for local children's charities...this year they decided to tag on the extra day for Hurricane Katrina relief, since they already had everything all set up for the Saturday show!! Joe played there 2 years ago, and made a brief appearance this year...no telling what next year will bring, but the concert is well worth going to!! Have your friend watch www.brcohn.com for details next summer on next year's show..... feel better soon sweetie!!

kd6aaj....so sorry we dint stop by, LOL!!! We WERE pretty close to ya I bet!! But still managed to have fun running amok around wine country.... :)) Maybe next year? You could come to the concert...we could have a gaggle of Joe fans all clumped together...LOL!!

Al Surfer, same to you!! I've never met you before so dint know about you!! Sorry bout that! It would have been great to meetcha!! Did you enjoy the day....and JOE? ;) And we were the same...after we saw Joe in Reno April 17th, we figured to have a looooooong dry spell till next year and were going through serious withdrawals....then this opportunity to hook up again came and away we went!! How lucky for you that it was so close, AND that you live in such a beautiful area!! Next year fer sure, if ya go, it would be great to meet you and the family! We go far and wide to see Joe, so ya never know...may see ya next spring somewhere?? :)

Cosmic Death...the tab book for Is There Love In Space has been out for awhile now...you can find it lots of places to buy....

Brotheral....okay....I admit it....YA LOST ME!! :) But good luck anyhoo with yer thingamajig changer of the whatsits..... LOL!! Hope yer axe still plays when yer all done honey!!

All try this again...

How did joe get the sound of the 2nd guitar on Flying in a Blue Dream...You know the detuned C guitar strumming the main chords in the background....

Was it a nylon string or electric....

silly question I know...but this question threatens to destroy a continent if its isn't resolved soon.

Kind Regards

Good Morning Satchland....... How are you Today?.......

Chicago weather..... Wed. morning..... 70's.... Today......lower 50's Ahh ! ! ! ! Chicago in the Fall. No tellin' what you'll get.

Mari....... Thanks for the reciepe. Also, thanks for the update on Steven. Sounds like he's trying to come back and I'm happy to read that. We're going to see Frank Marino on the 15th of Oct. Bonamassa on the 14th.. It's going to be a great weekend of music topped off with our 26th wedding Anniversary. Cindy has got to be crazy to hang with me this long. How strong does a women have to be? LOL....Take Care.

I read on the Explorer browser that a python tried to eat a 6' gattor and exploded. A prime example that greed is not good or tasteful. LOL.....

SOTD..... Cool #9 ......To go with the Chicago Weather. Also, The groove is huge in this song. I love Joe's approch with the Whammy pedal. Simply brilliant.

Joe.... Congrats on winning The Worlds Greatest Guitarist. It's really a NO BRAINER. That's old news but still good news for all of us here at T2J. Thank you for your hard work and inspiring music over the years. Hugs to your family, band and crew. Take care.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !
