Thanks :-)
Has anyone here ever used UnrealEd?...I've got to make an assault level for Unreal Tournament 2004 and its pretty complicated to me at the moment. I've got a book coming from Amazon on it which was recommended in a lecture so I should be up up and away in no time. *fingers crossed*
My other assignment which has to be in just before christmas is for my 3D Applications class in which I've got to design a living room of some sort. Which is going to be really fun. :-)
Trutina
I'm glad to see you back, even though it may not be under the best circumstances...I was really worried about you over the past year or so. How are you going to rectify this situation?

Joe, come to Guam!! Everclear is playing here this month....Everyone is coming here to play. I love my new JSX combo amp...thanks to you shredders can get the tones they want...Life is good. I would love to have a 10th anniversary chrome boy as well. Too hard to find and very expensive though. I gotta get Nascar 6. I am not a Nascar fan but if Joe is playing on it I want it. Interesting to hear what kinds of tunes he is playing on the game. Well, time to go work on my chops and different settings on the JSX. Good jamming all..Later

Eric Clapton's agent has put up for auction the rights to publish the guitar great's forthcoming, "very frank" memoir. The deal is expected to net at least $6 million. Meanwhile, guitar work by Clapton has been overdubbed onto a previously unreleased recording by the late Bob Marley titled "Slogan." The track will be issued as a single, and also will appear on the Africa Unite: The Singles Collection CD, which is due in November.

A DVD titled The Beatles: From Liverpool to San Francisco hits stores Tuesday. The documentary focuses on the rise of the band between 1963 and 1966 through archival news footage and rare TV interviews. The disc also includes the 1966 Beatles Across America film that investigated how U.S. Bible Belt communities reacted to alleged anti-Christian remarks made by John Lennon.

Nicolas Cage gives Superman's birth name to son
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage's wife of 14 months gave birth on Monday to the couple's first child together, a son they named Kal-el -- a moniker recognized by comic book fans as the birth name of Superman.
The child's delivery in New York City and his full name, Kal-el Coppola Cage, were confirmed by the actor's publicist, Annett Wolf, who said of the family, "They are healthy and happy and it's quite lovely."
No further details were released, including how the actor and his wife, Alice Kim Cage, were inspired to borrow from the mythology of Superman in naming their child.
Cage is known as an avid comic book devotee who once sold his personal collection, including a copy of Superman's 1938 pulp debut, at auction for more than $1.6 million.
The nephew of famed filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, the actor adopted his own stage surname from the Marvel Comics superhero Luke Cage.
Cage also was at one time slated to star in a Superman movie under the direction of Tim Burton, a project that ultimately was scrapped and replaced by a newer Warner Bros. remake expected for release next summer.
The 41-year-old actor and his wife, a former sushi waitress about 20 years his junior, met at a nightclub last year before marrying on July 30, 2004.
Cage has a 15-year-old son, Weston, by a prior relationship with actress Kristina Fulton. His previous marriages to actress Patricia Arquette and singer Lisa Marie Presley ended in divorce. Kal-el is his current wife's first child.
The prolific performer won an Academy Award as best actor for his 1995 role as an alcoholic bent on suicide in "Leaving Las Vegas." In his latest film, "Lord of War," he portrays an arms dealer.

SuppaDave,,,You my friend PERSONALLY never offended me,,,Im not sure that anyone on here really has to be honest. I really dont want open THAT CAN OF WORMS again,,people are gonna be people & I cant nor do I wish to change peoples attitudes and lattitudes of those I find offensive. LIVE & LET LIVE,,My coment to you WAS blunt & if you took it as to offend you it was not meant that way. However,,I have found that people tend to JUDGE HARSHLY in lifes somtimes difficult situations. I just chooose to trust whom I choose to trust. Ive been through a difficult year & some very emotional times..the loss of triplets is just the cap on the iceberg. If I felt comfortable sharing all this stuff with EVERYONE I would have done so. I DO appreiate your concerne however.
I used to be a chef on a LONG RANGE fishing boat in San Diego,,,A guy once told my capatian,,"WOW,,WHAT A GOOD COOK RICK IS",,my capatian told the guy.."HES NOT A COOK..HES A KOOK,,hence DAKOOK,,,so,,yep im DA KOOK..really just a fun guy,,so please,,dont take offence.

Zinc Master, A page all to yourself! nice!
js1200js1000, as I understand it, the first run of Chromeboy's - the JS10th's, of which there were 500 - were a luthite body with a thin layer of Chrome stuck to them. When it flakes off it looks a lot like it has the same properties as Gold Leaf. It's likely to be done in much the same way as anything plastic which has a chrome/mirror finish.
The new run of Chrome JS's are wood-bodied, and yes, to my knowledge, use an aluminium-enriched undercoat which the chrome then sticks to. Again, its just a guess, but if the undercoat finish is enriched with aluminium, you could then hook the guitar up a run a positive current across it's surface. Spray a bottle of negatively-charged chrome paint at it and it will stick flawlessly, all over. So it's sort of like anodising, but without the ionised water.
It's the same process used to paint a bike, for example, only a Bike tends to have an ally frame which means no undercoat is needed!
What I find exciting about this is that the potential is there for having a properly anodised finish. I don't know if you've seen much anodised stuff, but the colours have the richest, most vibrant, most perfect metallic textures and hues you've ever seen. I still reckon a JS in metallic Burnt Copper with black hardware would look superb!
Delfino, that's cool man, getting to play with UnrealEd and design your own living room! I had a brief play with UnrealEd, but that was with the original that came with the first UT. It's a complex, but comprehensive, program. I presume you've looked through UT forums?
I don't know any Unreal Tournament websites, but I have a hunch that planetunrealtournament.net might be one? Fansite forums are usually riddled with the best level/character designers you'll ever find, and they don't get paid for it!

Havent had chance yet to look through the forums in detail yet, Ive been designing the character for my motion capture project...I'm the choreographer and the character we've chosen to make is a big fat fighting game character so its pretty cool. But I've got to get all the moves down so that I can show the performer (in the motion capture suit) how to do stuff. lol.
So far I haven't been bored in any of my lectures, not even the ones that are 3 hrs long...I just find the whole course really interesting.
I bought a book that was recommended about the Unreal Editor so hopefully I can sit down sometime towards the end of the week and really get to grips with whats going on and how to do stuff.
When I make my 'Room' scene for my 3D Apps class I'm going to make those Delfino amps again and incorporate them somehow and also a load of satch merchandise, posters etc...it should look pretty damn swish lol.
Take care dude
