Hello out there,

Just wanted to ask if anybody has ever talked to Joe about maybe playing with Gary Hoey, or doing a G3 with Jeff Beck. I'am new to this site and am looking for the fast track to who he considered doing other shows with.

Clarky - Cool. I'm meeting old ACM buddies at around five-ish, but if you're available any earlier then gimme a bell; I'm probbaly gonna go up to London in the early afternoon. I don't go up there often enough, so I'm gonna get one of those all zones travel card things and have a look around. Go to Denmark Street and see if I can haggle myself a nice Strat for under a tenner. "They have it cheaper next door, mate" lol...

OCPS/DCK - Thanks man. I've heard pretty bad stuff about Behringer gear, to be quite honest. A friend of mine has a pair of mid-price Alesis monitors, and they sound awesome. I like the Tascam USB-122 interface, and I've borrowed one off another friend of mine so I know it's compatible with my current setup. As far as monitors go, I'll just shop around for the best sounding ones at the most reasonable price. That said, I know somewhere I might be able to pick up some Yamaha NS-10s pretty cheap... lol

No shows were cancelled.

Master Yoda, I personally disagree on the PC vs Mac thing, but I can understand why people dig macs. Regards audio interface.....M-Audio stuff is good. But everybody has their own suggestions based on what they use themselves! haha. I like my Firewire 410 but I'd like many more simultaneous inputs. You should definitely look for something with enough simultaneous inputs to record a drum kit so you can at least multi-track a band using all real instruments!

And regards monitors, Alesis Monitor One MkII are THE daddy's. Well, you can get better if you've got 20 grand to spare, but for 200-or-so quid, Monitor One's are a steal. My good mate uses them and they are stunning, the tonal response in every frequency band is perfect. They're active too! I know that GAK have been carrying them for a few years and still do, and it's definitely worth the investment. I honestly haven't heard a better, more real monitor sound, you will hear absolutely everything!

Regards H&K stuff - yeah, I'm perfectly happy with what I get out of the Legacy, but I thought for a hundred quid....bollocks to it, I'm gonna treat myself! I still intend to get a TriAmp at some point though, if only to take it round my mate's place and prove that H&K isn't merely a poor man's boogie! haha.

Rob310, I borrowed a JS1000BTB just over a year ago and was very impressed. Honestly, in person it is the nicest thing to play! Also, regards JS10ths and PRMs.....I've seen them on ebay and on the ibanez register a few times. They're not hard to find, they're just expensive. You see a few a year though, 'cause people buy them and don't play them 'cause they don't want to scratch them. I would personally play it to death, they sound too damn nice to be left in a case!
Mari/Suzie/Clarky/Neil, looks like it's all sorted, see you folks tomorrow!

Joe: hey man how are you all on this beautiful day? I am good. I have been listening to you like all day. Its awsome. I cant wait to see you again. It is going to be so cool. I have a couple of questions for you (If some of you in here know maybe you can help me out.). I was wondering, are all your backstage passes the same price? If so, how much are they? Also can you even buy them or do you have to win them? thanks for your time. Have a great day Joe.

Hello every one. How are you all today. Hey just wondering, how many Pantera fans do we have in here?

JS_JS: long time no talk, wouldnt you agree?

talk to you all later. Bye. Have a wonderful day.

962...... I like the Mac. I boought a G4 Dual about 2yrs ago and got extra ram. The G4 is running at 1Ghz with 768 megs of ram. I went Mac 'cause thats what I learned on and also for iMovie and iDVD. I agree about inputs for recording live instruments. I got a Digi oo2 with an Octopre. The Optopre is a 8 ch. mic pre with Adat light pipe. It sweet and I patch it in with the light pipe. I love my Monitor Ones. I have one of the first pair made. I also have the RA100 power amp. I want to get the Event Precision 8"s. They are the best bang for the buck for powered monitors. Check out my site. On the media page I recorded and filmed the band live. I mixed the tracks in Pro Tools and imported them into iMovie created the movie and then burned in iDVD. What was sweet about that is the syc issue. I bumped the first track around until it loocked to the video. Because it was hard disc recording I didn't have to worry about tape speeding up or slowing down. From the first song the rest of the tracks were locked. I loved it.

DCK: Okay man...the truth moniter I heard sounds prety similar to me to the makie moniters which I hear every time I go to do sessions, but moniters can be tricky, so I can understand if you dig other ones. Also, maybe they sound better in my room, since I needed a smaller moniter since they are kind of stuck in a corner. It's funny, the Alesis ones are usually the ones everyone pans...hmm. Beats the hell out of me.

MaterYoda: Unless you're going for an incredibly harsh speaker, I wouldn't go for the NS-10's. They're accurate, but there are other speakers out there that give an accurate mix image without causing midrange deafness haah!
