The newest GuitarOne magazine (should be out in a few weeks, unless you are a subscriber, than you already got it Saturday or very soon), but there is a page about Vai's gear and setup... Anyone else get guitarone magazine? In my opinion, it's been going downhill since that one editor left... All the one's I've gotten after he left really haven't been worth looking at or reading. This latest one that should be out soon, I just skimmed through it quickly and the only thing I actually looked at was Vai's gear and setup, nothing else really wasn't of any interest.
--Can't wait for the G3 to come out, preordered mine today, comes with a free poster...G3 with Petrucci, it's about time they brought him back in the mix and got it and DVD!

gotta have joe, oooh, "not having enough time" is a bad excuse! haha, just kidding. Seriously though, you should try and get a little time in each day. What sort of thing are you learning and what sort of thing are you stuck on, and what sort of thing do you want to be able to play?
Steven Wilde, I'm both thrilled and saddened to see you post......it's great to see your name back here again, but it's not so good to read your explanation of how crazy things are for you. I'm really sorry to hear that mixed in with all your psychological illness you've got some people treating you so badly......that's a real injustice.
I'll second what Stevee T said - stay safe and peaceful. I know it might not be the first thing you'd think of, but get some more time in here on Talk 2 Joe - there's lots of people here who, I'm certain, hope that you think of them as your friends......we're all thinking of you bro!

climber...they do appear from time to time in music stores, and sometimes on ebay, but they're usually $4500.00 US...I've seen some for less...persistance is the key...
JS2 PRM's are still available if you got the cash....you got $5000.00 US?.... there's one for sale right now!!! They're great...sounds like Joe is channeling through you...it's freaky, but a good kind of freaky!

Dear mr Satriani
i still remember the first track i've ever heard from you. it was "i beleive" in a 2 men version in mtv unplugged. and i have to say that this track still has its great effect on me,and i thank you for it.
my name is Omar Zein, and i'm 5 year old guitarist (3 of them i was trying to play your music most of the time:D) and i am from cairo, Egypt.
there is a very strong rock stream in Egypt which increasing with time, we now have alot of bands, some very good guitarists, and a small nation of lestiners if you know what i mean.......i can confidently say that 2/3 of them adores your style and tries as hard as they can to know any new thing about your albums, songs and even gear.
anyway i was chatting with some friends of mine, it was "what is the greatest musical event that can happend to us?" kind of chat.........i was amazed that all of us answered at once........... A SATRIANI'S CONCERT IN EGYPT........but then i just thought.......man....... if he comes to Egypt,i cant think of any better event.
i know this is a strange thing to ask......but i'd really love to consider having a concert in Egypt........i'm sure that i'm speacking on behalf of a VERRRY big part of egyptian youth and i'm sure that you'll have as great time as you can give us by being there.
finally i thank you for your time and i apologize for my (funny language:D) and of course thank you for giving as all this fun..........god bless you man
Omar Zein

STEVEN- It was great to speak to you- I have sent you a quick e-mail :) Take good care xx
962- Looking forward to the Vai gig! It has been great meeting Mari at last too! Speak to you soon about the drink before the gig, we should get to Hammersmith around 6ish- 6.30 p.m. (Mari will obviously be up there a lot earlier!) - maybe meeting in the bar inside the Apollo could be a better idea?
(re. message to 962 above!) Master Yoda- what do you think? Unless there's a pub really close by that you know?
widdle4U- I have always been quite a fan of Iron Maiden- one of the few fans that thought Paul Di'Anno was great! Phantom of the Opera has always been one of my favourite tracks :)
