Morrison, Rock, poetry?

ANATOMY OF ROCK:

The 1st electric wildness came over the people on sweet Friday. Sweat was in the air. The channel beamed, token of power. Incense brewed darkly. Who could tell then that here it would end?

One scholl bus crashed w/a train. This was the Crossroads. Mercury strained. I couldn’t get out of my seat. The road was littered w/dead jitterbugs. Help, we’ll be late for class.

___

The secret flurry of rumor marched over the yard & pinned us unwittingly. Mt. fever. A girl stripped naked on the base of the flagpole.

In the restrooms all was cool & silent w/the salt-green of latrines. Blankets were needed.

Ropes fluttered. Smiles flattered & haunted.

Lockers were pryed open & secrets discovered.

___

Ah sweet music.

Wild sounds in the night Angel siren voices. The baying of great hounds. Cars screamming thru gears & shrieks on the wild road Where the tires skid & slide into dangerous curves.

Favorite corners. Cheerleaders raped in summer buildings. Holding hands & bopping toward Sunday.

Those lean sweet desperate hours.

___

Time searched the hallways for a mind. Hands kept time. The climate altered like a visible dance.

Night-time women. Wondrous sacraments of doubt sprang sullen in bursts of fear & guilt in the womb’s pit hole below The belt of the beast.

aussieRGman, no worries mate, I love that vid of Andy and Joe jamming! Do you see why I'm so keen for Andy to get on G3?! hehe

fizz450_03, hey thanks man, I appreciate your continued support and interest! And of course, no problem, here's the link: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=259685
Stevee T, what what WHAAAT? Heart Of The Sun? haha, maybe you got me confused with someone else, 'cause I got no idea what Heart Of The Sun is! hehe. having said that, the name sounds familiar. Oh bollocks...
LucySorets, thanks for sharing the flyer! If I weren't going on vacation at christmas (and didn't have other stuff to pay off) I'd probably be getting a cheap flight to Madrid to see Andy next month! I can assure you he'll put on a stunning show! "Groove Or Die" isn't a good average representation of what Andy's stuff is like. "Super 70's" is more like it. It's worth checking out "Electric Gypsy" and "Carpe Diem" as they are both solid representations of what his stuff is like. Things like "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Slips Away" are good examples of his beautiful vocal tracks too - he's a great singer!
civgeek, hell yeah man, T.O.P are awesome! I've only got the "Soul With A Capital S" compilation at the moment, but I know I want to get more of their stuff!
OCPS470, "Timmons da man! He's got some of the nicest flow and phrasing and tone tone tone!".....damn right man! "Flow" is definitely the word, I was watching his "Official Live Bootleg" DVD last night and I'm still blown away by his playing, even though I've heard his stuff so so many times.....the novelty just never wears off!

Also, I put a 50 pound deposit on an S470 yesterday! I tried one out with the ZR trem and was actually converted! You can't flick it at all but for everything else you'd want a locking trem for it's great (if a little stiff). I should get it in about a month or so, can't wait!

slanshroom, ahahaha, yeah I have to agree with you there! 3-string bends on 13's?....ouch!

962, Slansh forgot to mention that on the JD video, often two of those strings are simultaneously bent in OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS!!!! Other times two in opposite directions and one snap released for a really cool effect!!! The vid should as Slansh sez be watched for ideas but it should also come with a serious finger health disclaimer lol....

lmao if someone owed me £100 I'd be breaking thumbs to get it.

I've been looking at pickups for it, I was thinking of getting an Evo 7 for the bridge and an Air Norton 7 for the neck, dya think that'd sound alright?

Delfino - Well, they're both good pickups, so I have noe idea why it would sound bad if it does. You may want to do research inot the pairing though - some pickups don't play nice with each other. You never know; the Evo 7 might be a bit of a Chav... lmao

DCK - If the D-Sonic has a rail then it ain't that!!!! It had regular old pole-pieces. I suppose he could have gotten confused since he had apparently just gotten off the ferry from Germany before this clinic. I'm sure touring the world is quite a hard job, but someone has to do it!!!! lol

962 - Dude, Tower Of Power are superb!!!!! My brother went to see them at the Astoria on Sunday, and he didn't tell me!!!!!!!! Bastard...

yeah i can see ur point 962, theres a heck of alot of really great gutarists out there, and a G3 tour would set them heaps up for life.. which is my question, I watched an interview of tony hawks tonite on tv and he said he had never imagined the success of what he does would ever be a reality, but he had a moment when he did a 900 move that made the world look, now , joe what was that moment for u? when suddnely going from a nobody, ie struggling to pay the bills, credit cards etc (myself from experience here) to where ur now traveling the world, tours, etc a family, etc.. like i said theres a lot of guitarists out there who are awsome but just never get the break they need ,u know what i mean? i mean, i did say those things before in my previous post, that if i do make it great, if not , well it wasnt ment to be, but sometimes i just kick myself cause i just sometimes hate bieng where i am, then sometimes i love where i am and dont wanna change anything am i mental??? sometimes i feel guilty about wanting success for my music, sometimes i say, ah im crap, i think im too hard on myself sometimes,, i put my guitar in the cubbored for an day to get away from it, but i cant keep iit there for long.. why is this? i must be nuts???

962: On the ZR trems, you're supposed to be able to remove the center opposing spring mechanism that pulls the trem back to zero. This is supposed to allow the trem to float more like a floyd, so maybe that will enable it to flutter more. I suppose, however, this means that all of the advantages of the ZR system are compromised however (ex: no trem movement during bends etc.)

962 and Steve t - T.O.P. is definately where it is at. I can recognize that horn section anywhere. If you want more info on them you can go here,

Just got the DVD yesterday. VERY COOL!! I liked all the sets. John was predictably reserved. Now I know how it looks when I play. I am not very animated. Steve and the guys looked like they were having a blast. And Joe was Joe. I'm studing for thermo dynamics today so I think I will hear the DVD a few more times before the day is through.

Cube-He is still using those pickups. He usually only uses the D-whatever pickup on alternate tuned guitars (Ie DGCFAD, etc).

Just got the G3 DVD.Disappointed, but still pretty cool.Damage Control, and Building the church were highlights for me.

Sick of blues songs for the jams. That was the whitest version of Foxey lady I done ever heard. :D
