Neil, yeah the sound was not superb, although I could hear Steve and Bill clearly....could hardly hear Tony at all, but from what I could make out he, yet again, won the lick-of-the-night award on the end of "I'm the hell outta here/get the hell outta here/wossname".
Anybody else got Billy Sheehan's new album? I grabbed it last night and it kicks ass.....I gotta get me a Billy Sheehan Appreciation T-Shirt! hehe
Joe, please come back to the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on your next tour!

CLARKY/ MASTER YODA / 962: So sorry we missed you all yesterday at the Vai gig! We just about got there as Eric Sardinas' set was finishing which was a bummer. The traffic was CRAP! Still, the concert was great though! Glad you lot managed to meet up, Mari's been telling us all about it! Maybe next time :(

Is anyone going to Dream Theater next Tuesday at Hammersmith btw? I have finally found out which classic album they are playing in the 2nd half!!!

Will catch up later with posts, hope you are all well :)

Zen - no worries bro.. I'll keep an eye out for the mails..

fab bollox - thanx for the birthday wishes bro...
Yoda - so for the 2nd time on the spin the "lick of the night" award goes to

Tony Mac

jeez.. all he needs is a 5 second window of oppertunity and boom.. he slots in a blinder...

and like you said.. it was highly cool that he didn't use the same lick as last time...

and yeah.. Jeremy was the surprise of the night.. absolutely superb..

Christmas dinner / lash-up - now that sounds like a plan.. bring the ACM posse down too.. they're a great crowd..

did you get to scope out the sound click yet??

tonight I picked up a real nice condenser mic from my mate Neil [the custom builder] - time to start dropping the nylons onto Virtus... cool as fuck..

michelle - sorry.. not had a chance yet...
Suzie - shame we couldn't meet up... maybe you and Matt can come to our Christmas piss up ...

HERES A JOKE!!!

A couple had been debating the purchase of a new auto for weeks. He wanted a new truck. She wanted a fast little sports-like car so she could zip through traffic around town.

He would probably have settled on any beat up old truck, but everything she seemed to like was way out of their price range.

"Look!" she said. I want something that goes from 0 to 200 in 4 seconds or less. "And my birthday is coming up. You could surprise me."

For her birthday, he bought her a brand new bathroom scale.

Services will be at Downing funeral home on Monday the 12th, due to the condition of the body; this will be a closed casket service. Please send your donations to the 'Think before you say things to your wife foundation',

lol

Hello Keniko...
Yeah... I liked that Cliff Engel website. He was a very impressive bassist!
I always like to see peoples BIO's and their influences. One of them was Stu Hamm... Joe's good buddy and bassist at one time. You gotta like that! Stu rocked a lot of people when he was with Joe and still does.
Joe plays with all the best!
Thanks for sharing...

hey joe! I am australian member of your website and have really enjoyed being part of it! I would some day really love a response on how to improve on my playing techniques. I have been playing for 16 yrs now and have only really played to tab music. It has only been this year that I have been studing music at our NMIT(North Melbourne Institutute of Technology). I have always played rock styles from Iron Maiden, Judas Preist, etc. Now I am into Jazz because it is what the course I am studing requires. Yet I am finding it hard to get a grasp of sometimes as it is a very complicated form of music! Not that I don't enjoy playing it but I find that I don't have much of an impact as I would like! So the question I would really like to ask is, how could I improve myself to a standard that I can have a good impression and impact to the music and what should I be doing to change from my old habits of wanting to lash out with huge solos that I am used to in rock but still have a great harmonious technique that works with my jazz members? Next year they are giving us the opportunity to start establishing ourselves as solo artists with the help of our teachers, but I am not sure of what I should be doing! So please Joe what should I be doing, because I do want to progress with my music skills! And who better to ask than the best, you Joe!

Hoiguy, Ill Nino is a cool band. We have Confession and Revolution. My kids have the cd's somewhere. I should have another listen. Haven't heard them for a while. Do you know of a band named Puya? They have a song called Oasis that rocks! It's on a compilation cd I have, but I can't remember which one? They sound like a great band, even though sometimes I have no idea what they're saying ;-) They have some cool headbangin' music !
